Also, I give you props for being the epitome of a "sportsman" in sharing a Trout Magnet with the other angler. As my Polish grandmother used to say, "Let God pay you!" (since He can repay you back better than any of the rest of us.)
The trout magnet kit is something I make sure I always have in the truck. I've caught a 6.5 lb largie on one of those 1" baits. They catch absolutely anything, and are great when fish aren't biting and you're desperate.
They work great on bluegill too. Anytime I'm fishing for cats or freshwater redfish I always take along an ultralight rig and this kit to pass the time. Well worth the money.
@@alexrider8616 my go-to rod and reel set up right now is a 6’6” Berkley lightning rod ultralight rod with a shimano sienna 1000. It’s perfect for UL stuff like these trout magnets. I have more info on my channel.
Been using these for about a decade when a friend introduced them to me. Caught a 3lb smallie once, and another time, in the same exact spot, my friend caught a crappie, bream, bass, and a catfish off these things. You’ll never know what you’ll pull in
I absolutely love the trout magnet. White and pink work amazing. I've caught dozens of crappie. I've also caught catfish, sunfish, largemouth, and smallmouth. It's my #1 go to.
The first time I went all by myself I didn't catch anything. Another fisherman saw me and shared me some tips and lure; it was a great experience for me, feeling so welcome to the fishing community. I'm glad you did the same thing with that man; you totally changed his perpective around fishing (I can't wait to get some Trout Magnet; they seem to work like charm)
Trout Magnets are the first lures I learned how to fish with. In the sandy creek in Northeast Ohio. Did well with rock bass and smallmouth. The creek’s not quite what it was then because of that incident with White Leather’s farm about 9-10 years ago. But it’s been good the past couple years.
Your channel has quickly become my favourite fishing channel on UA-cam!! And thanks for getting me in to UL fishing! I just spent a months salary on gear because of you lol 😂 great sportsmanship letting the guy keep the jig 💪🏻
Red and white tube jigs are my absolute go to. They work amazing and look really similar to those Trout Magnet lures. I might have to invest in those for my tackle assortment. Great video 👏
Amazing bait. They really are FISH magnets. I recently hooked a decent bass with one while targeting bluegill. I hope that guy is still having a blast.
That split tail of the Trout Magnet reminds me of the Beetle Spin, with which I have had great luck...even though the appearance of both seems underwhelming. But they both seem to work VERY well.
Brendan, thanks for showing this kit. I might order one. I’m going to do some creek fishing this year. It seems like the perfect little kit to take along.
Trout Magnet, Crappie Magnet, and Panfish Magnets are great. Stick them on Johnson Beetle Spins or other jig spinners too. Between bobber fishing them, jigging them, and spinner fishing them, I've caught just about all the fresh water species in my neck of the woods with them. If you want to catch trout, though, the lighter the line, the better. Also keep in mind that bigger fish don't necessarily discriminate against their small size.
Yay!! Always awesome to see new fish tackle reviews! I actually had a lot of fun making some Inline spinner fishing lures for spring trout. Made with long shank, single hooks so I can load curly tail grubs on them!
i have a little suggestion for you and for anyone fishing UL with spinning outfits.. fish braid.. 6# braid will be thinner than 6# mono, will be more sensitive and overall stronger, spinning reels handle braid much better than mono. if you want, you can tie a mono leader for a stealthier presentation and shock absortion. just a page from the saltwater inshore fishing book that can be benefitial to freshwater panfish anglers
I did a small change to the kit. I moved all the jigs to one side. The other side holds my split shot and bobber stops with beads so I can have a slip float set up. The larger tray holds about 7-8 floats comfortably. Finally the otherside I have my favorite colors but once the other colors run out I use those spots to try other colors
Welcome to the trout magnet. One day we were fishing them on drop shot rig with a smaller hook. Caught pan fish, perch, bass and even a few pike. Was crazy. we are believers in trout magnets. funny is i hve yet to catch a trout on them but plenty of other species!
I've used variations of those kits for some time with pretty decent results. But here's the thing I absolutely cannot stand about them: The lid eventually warps, so unless you keep a rubber band or something around them, they will absolutely spill all over the place at some point.
They are my favorite lure. I throw them almost every time I go out. They will catch anything in the lake lol. Their bigger brother the crappie magnet is great as well. Even the walleye like them!
I've been fishing for a while, I'm just starting to try new things spin fishing, been stuck fly fishing for a while, need to switch it up . You inspired me to get some jig heads , and curly tail grubs. I really enjoy all your videos, and awesome steelhead fishing last one
I love those times of the year because there is less people out at the parks and on the banks. In Chattanooga during spring and summer you better have a boat or you’re own pond. Way to many people trying the same spots. Driving me insane currently!!!
Been Using those for over a year I catch a bunch of perch, definitely a go to lure for the kids, they make bobbers to go with them, also got some decent bass with them
I picked out a little 6-pack of the pink ones, absolutely amazing for bluegill and crappie. I caught about 15 crappie with a single one, and my friend begged me for one, of course I was hesitant because we were seeing who could catch the most, but I still gave him one.
Was addicted to fishing with trout magnets for two seasons, pretty much all I would use. They where not kind to my shoulder, highly suggest following there directions and adding a split shot.
Number 1 confidence lure for ultralight from the mini to the large crappie magnets they have always have at least 1 color that will work each trip even for finesse bassing the crappie magnets are great
I've fished a few places I probably shouldn't have been and I gotta say, this little rig on a hand reel is very easy to put in a backpack and knock fish everywhere and no one will see a man walking through the brush with a fishing pole again lol
Brendan I thought you were going to fall in the water frozen like a ice block lol. That trout kit looks the goods my friend, thanks for sharing this information…
I feel your pain my man!!! I'm originally from the O and now live in GA. Yep did that fishing in "Ohio Spring" for many years, but when the fish are biting, what's a little frostbite??!! 🙂. Great video !!!
Tell you what, trout magnets are about the best thing you can carry in your tacklebox. And the little kits like these are even better. Throw it in your pocket with a couple of lightweight bobbers and you're set
Is a croppie magnet just as effective? I was thinking about throwing a crappie magnet far out into the deep water with the ez crappie float and set the rod down, and then take a smaller lighter rod and throw it closer to the edge for the smaller fish.
Also, I give you props for being the epitome of a "sportsman" in sharing a Trout Magnet with the other angler. As my Polish grandmother used to say, "Let God pay you!" (since He can repay you back better than any of the rest of us.)
Helping other people catch fish is how we should all be all the time. Hats off to you sir.
The trout magnet kit is something I make sure I always have in the truck. I've caught a 6.5 lb largie on one of those 1" baits. They catch absolutely anything, and are great when fish aren't biting and you're desperate.
That was awesome of you to give that guy one of your baits, and get him set up.
Those kits are always so useful!! Great to have on hand when your out on the water!!!! 🎣
Love the trout magnet kit! It’s how I first started ultralight fishing. They are so much fun.
They work great on bluegill too. Anytime I'm fishing for cats or freshwater redfish I always take along an ultralight rig and this kit to pass the time. Well worth the money.
@@Daniel-nr6iw yup! I've caught all kinds of fish with this kit!
What’s your setup?

the ending was so wholesome. this is what fishing is truly all of about, the fun/laughter/ the enjoyment of the outdoors/ catching fish
I absolutely love the trout magnet. White and pink work amazing. I've caught dozens of crappie. I've also caught catfish, sunfish, largemouth, and smallmouth. It's my #1 go to.
"And yet, I'm out here". That's what it's all about dude. And sharing what works with others. You ARE a sportsman.
Brendan, that act of kindness has moved you up my scale by about ten places.
Hot tip that has worked very well for me with the trout/crappie magnets is cutting one of the 2 legs off them. It gives them a ton more action.
Thanks for the tip. Subscribed
The dedication is unreal! Crappie fishing in the snow is impressive, keep it up man 👍

I love those trout magnet kits. The jigs are some of my favorite and those floats are really nice.
100% agree... Fish love these. Also great job making that guys day. You could tell he was having a blast.
I have the Panfish Magnet kit and it's awesome! If you pair it with the small Trout Magnet floats it makes it a killer combo.
My experience as well. People stare like they are mounting "WTFudge!" as I out fish them.
True dedication my friend. Your hands looked miserable but you stuck it out. Much respect
love the trout magnet!
a trout magnet with a slip bobber is a deadly combo
Red and white tube jigs are my absolute go to. They work amazing and look really similar to those Trout Magnet lures. I might have to invest in those for my tackle assortment. Great video 👏
I catch 90% of my fish with Trout Magnet! I’ve got over a dozen species with them. I know the creator, great guy! Great lure!
Dude, you deserve a 👍, for just making that video in that lousy weather ! Thanks much !
Exactly like the ol Johnson beetle spin!
Brendan, thanks for showing this kit. I might order one. I’m going to do some creek fishing this year. It seems like the perfect little kit to take along.
There’s no better creek kit in my opinion. I personally like the neon kit. The gold and chartreuse/orange are always my go to colors! Good luck!
That dude's excitement is priceless!
Helping that guy out the way you did made my night. Cheers from Vancouver Island B.C. Canada.
Blown away by your dedication, Brendon!

Love the sound of a blizzard in the background great ending listening to that guy catch a crappie

From experience, so far my 2 favorite trout magnets are white and solid gold

The plastic they use for the storage container is absolute trash. They truly need a redesign
My experience as well.
dedication in the snow! respect
Great Job sharing and making someone else's Day, Great Videos keep I'm coming!!!
They are my favorite lure. I throw them almost every time I go out. They will catch anything in the lake lol. Their bigger brother the crappie magnet is great as well. Even the walleye like them!
Great video. I love the transition you've made in the intro. They were smooth and pretty cool !

Those are some cool transitions lol 😂
Trout magnets are the go-to, will use them till the day I croak
They catch everything I never leave home without them. It has prevented me from getting skunked many times
I agree. That kit is killer. I soaked mine in garlic sent to give it an extra kick. Great video.
I love those times of the year because there is less people out at the parks and on the banks. In Chattanooga during spring and summer you better have a boat or you’re own pond. Way to many people trying the same spots. Driving me insane currently!!!
Ever since I’ve seen this video this is one of the things only ways I fish for crappie!
Thanks Brendan! I'm going to dust my kit off and give it a try.

i use a panfish magnet kit. it’s amazing also!

The Trout Magnet Trout Slayer Kit is fire 🔥 the crawdad one 🔥 👌
I've fished a few places I probably shouldn't have been and I gotta say, this little rig on a hand reel is very easy to put in a backpack and knock fish everywhere and no one will see a man walking through the brush with a fishing pole again lol
I put trout magnet minis on my fly rod. It's a good way to fish them. :)
Good stuff. Crappie fishing is so much fun.
Good video Bud,they do make these things called gloves!!
That’s awesome man great video 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽 props to you
Trout magnet and trout slayers are great
Love the magnets! Thank you for validating my opinion! Liked and subed
They're great for ice fishing!
Its 90 degrees here in south Ga and the trout magnet looks great for bluegill.
Definitely a kit I'll have to check out!
This is the only lure I use for crappie they absolutely love them along with many other species
Made a dreadful day a day to remember. Amazing underwater footage!
Brendan I thought you were going to fall in the water frozen like a ice block lol. That trout kit looks the goods my friend, thanks for sharing this information…
White and pink are my favorite also.
Always informative and funny!
I love the trout magnet I've been doing really great with it. I've been catching a lot fish using the trout magnet with a bobber
Hey I just bought my first pack of trout magnets yesterday. Had to see what the fuss was all about. Gonna try ‘em out tomorrow
Awesome to put that other guy on the fish!
The fish at 4:20 looks like it was hooked before! 👌🏽👍🏽
nice of you to share one with that guy
Its funny I picked one of these kits up juat to see how it worked. I love it.
Great review, awesome video!
I use the neon trout magnet kit in creeks. The hot pink slay.
Greetings from Indonesia, the Aru Islands, Maluku Province on the Indonesian border with Australia
Brendan, Keep the Videos going Lad! You Have gears of War Energy, LOL.
I have one of those kits and I haven’t use it yet either I will definitely try it thanks for the info
Trout Magnet stock skyrockets overnight 200% 🤑
These panther martin's, and spoons always will usually catch something, I've got catfish, panfish, bass, drum, carp, they will catch about anything.
I totally agree on this.
I feel your pain my man!!! I'm originally from the O and now live in GA. Yep did that fishing in "Ohio Spring" for many years, but when the fish are biting, what's a little frostbite??!! 🙂. Great video !!!
I got a nice river redhorse on a goldish wax worm colored trout magnet early in April this year and a little smallmouth the same day.
Nice! Been a fan of Trout Magnets for a while. Now just to have to find a kit that comes with gloves!
You're a good man!
Love them too. They also panfish ones
Tell you what, trout magnets are about the best thing you can carry in your tacklebox. And the little kits like these are even better. Throw it in your pocket with a couple of lightweight bobbers and you're set
In arkansas so its boiling one day then flash freeze the next, weekly tornados, I want to cstch something, so I will definitely consider this thanks!👍
I love the vid! Definitely earned a subscriber

Greate video had awesome footage and I was super awesome. You were nice to that guy. Show them how to do it. Each 1 teaches 1. Tight lines.
I feel your pain. I live in Washington where normally we have warm weather by April but last week we got 14 inches of snow 😂
Climate change is a hell of a thing
