Hello Victor, I use the BG-1 with the #12 hook for this plastic bait. For me it is perfect. Thank you once again for your realness, details and the passion you share with this community. Thank you for the hand tied with the BG-1. Can not wait to use them(super excited). Enjoy your moments. - Orlando -
Good timing. Just received my order of those little 1" CB grubs. I've been familiar with the 1.5" Brewer's Crappie Sliders for a long time but didn't realize they offered these little guys until you mentioned them in another video.
1.5" has too much body for me... but if u trim them u can make them pretty good. Although even then the body is a little too fat for my jigs in particular.. If u try them with my jigs i want a picture in email with ur best installation!
My wife and I were on the lake with you that day. I have a little 12 foot aluminum boat I’m still trying to figure out how to use. It’s my first boat, but I’m getting there. I’m glad somebody had success 😂. Maybe I’ll get to speak to you next time. Great video!
Good video Victor! They’ve been in my box for a long time. If I could just get the rascals from taking my tails. That’s the only bad and only some days but man they work!….Tim
Very nice. Have you tried using a jdm micro spoon? Its very productive. Anyway just a though. I do like your jighead , it is sharp and well made. Still im not ready to let go of the daiwa gekabijin head. Great vids Vic and very appreciative for making time to make them.
Which daiwa gekkabijin? The old black one is no longer available.. The new gold ones are not clearly better... they have some advantages but i like my design much better for my lures.. The only gekkabijin clearly better is the old black one..
I have run out of the black color Gekkabijin SW light jigheads SS a year ago. I have the SS glow and SS red color (white). However, the SS red color (white) jigheads and zsS glow are just as effective as the black ones. Regarding the new gold jigheads, while they are indeed sharp, I have noticed a higher fish loss rate with that particular design and therefore I do not use it anymore. Overall, I believe your jighead is one of the best that are sold in USA market due to its sharpness and design.
I buy the 1 1/5 inch & then trim them to size.. i usually fish with a liitle but larger one for crappie & cut a little shorter for bg... i cought 10.5" bluegill on one yesterday!
The constant speed retrieve is definitely easier for the fish to hit, I learned that midnight top water fishing for bass in mountain lakes mid summer. I found my steady retrieve big black jitter bug would get more hooked ups and landed fish than my friends with poppers or buzz bait with a fast or twitchy retrieve. I think it's easier for them to track the steady noise and they seem to nail it more aggressively. It's the same with very light spinning flies for trout, slow steady retrieve makes for confident strikes.
Nice man, I’m enjoying your videos. I subscribed when you sent Richard Gene that rod and I’m ashamed to admit I forgot about subscribing to your channel…😅 I’ll definitely watch from now on though…
@@ifishcatfish Oh man, that’s a bummer… I know he wouldn’t do that on purpose. I bet he was upset about that… I closed the live well lid on my St. Croix premier rod a few years back and man I was sick…🤢😂
No. Please subscribe to the Newsletter, all the way on the bottom of my shop page. I send email to people who subscribe first, and let them shop a few days, and then make video that i have new products
well... i have about 1500 packs per model.. which sounds like a lot, but by May i will probably be out of stock again... heads up.. This factory that makes my jigs does products for a lot of other companies and everything is late..
I don't see anything that appeals to me in terms of design but i am sure u will catch fish with them just like with everything else. I like to find some special thought behind it. That plastic is no longer special
Love casting small swimbaits for Bluegill too Victor. FYI my Daiwa Airity ST SF 1000S-P came in on Monday and I fished it today along side my Exist SF 1000S-P The Airity is really, really good! I hope you get one to review or for yourself. I think this higher end Daiwa you will like....Tight lines my friend
Purchased 5 packs: Black, Pearl, Strawberry Glitter, Watermelon Black/Gold/Red Glitter, Watermelon/Chartreuse Tail. The others I’m interested in are sold out via FishUSA. Any other recommended colorations?
the darker the better. Completely black, or black with some other tail. That is always best, in clear or muddy water. Of course, right now in the spring they will hit anything that moves, but its good to get something reliable in more difficult conditions
Victor. If you haven't tried them yet, you might get spoiled, but get some Mule fishing "Horse Fly." Cut off the head and put them on one of your BG-1's. Game on!!!
Glad to see some good content, thanks for always uploading Victor!
Thanks buddy
Another great video Thank you very much for sharing your experience and knowledge with us.

Glad to see that you're doing well with your hobby!
Those Bluegills certainly are attracted to you today.
Hope all is well with you.
what a kind message! I'm doing fine, buddy, hopefully u and ur family are doing fine also!
Yay on the Charlie Brewer Sliders! Love em!!
u need some more lead for these! I know u waiting for the 0.6 and 0.75 but... : )
@@ifishcatfishHa! I would never dream of using the mini's with swim bait. Trout magnets on the other hand... ; )

if the bluegills are big enough, u get many fish per lure. I'd say 7" +. But the small ones can be a pain : )
I had just bought some of these CB’s to try. Caught first blugill of ‘24 on a Bison TM yesterday. Thanks for sharing all the good stuff Victor!
Glad someone else likes them. USA!

The Charlie Brewer's are great. I usually use the ones that are the next size up at 1-1/2 inches and I have had some great days with them.
I beat them blugeills up with the red charlie Brewer. And the caterpillar color.
Red ....& caterpillar are my go-to's. In murky water.
Nice video.
I trim a very slight piece off my 1" sliders and super glue it to the Gekabijin #12 hook. I slay anything and everything with them!
which gekkabijin? Tungsten or the old lead ones? I can never get glue to hold to the tungsten ones..

yes, when they start chasing constant is better. But if they sit behind a rock, a twitch can grab their attention and annoy them..

In my experience when they are active/feeding any color and most any profile works.
its important for profile to be easy to swallow .. and u have to move it in a way that is easy to swallow!
👍🏼

Victor, i am going through BG withdrawal. I need a BG fix. When will we have new jigheads brother?
This month for sure!
@@ifishcatfish is it $4 for 1 bg1 jig head or is it a pack.

I have already seen them... I know they work! To tell u the truth, if trout magnet works , that has no action, everything else will work.
