But Arya was the only one who had the mad jumping skills to jump over the White Walkers. It was the perfect plan... jump over the white walkers like a kung fu ninja, get grabbed by the throat mid jump, drop the knife in the unsuspected hand, kill the white walker. It was a fool proof plan. I theorize Sansa drafted it up since she's the smartest person ever and that plan was so smart many of us are still trying to wrap our minds around it.
@5:00 Matt Smith was amazing in Good Will Hunting, Saving Private Ryan and who can forget him in the The Bourne Identity films, I always figured he might be more of a Dr Who type guy, but what do I know.
I had the same thought about the 'vision'. The only people having visions (who actually worship the old gods unlike the Targaryans) is the Starks. There were literally only 2 good episodes this season. I feel like this series is missing some magic both literally and figuratively.
@@S1ipperyJim yeh well said, the magic is 100% not there. Why that is.. who knows . I really didn’t think I would enjoy s1 more that’s for sure , but I probably do? Probably for the rotting king performance alone
It’s really annoying that the showrunners are trying to stretch this story so much in order to make more money and get viewers. They don’t have to do that. They could give us a clean 3 seasons and then… I dunno, move onto some of the other many stories grrm has written and laid out for us? We’ve already got a dunk and egg show coming , which is, in my opinion, too early, since we’ve got ALL of the backfire rebellion to go through after this storyline and grrm still has like 7 dunk and egg stories to write out before we get to it. (After winds of winter ofcourse)
Daemon didn't do a 180 imo as he was always looking for approval. He just realized there is another way of getting it other than being King. He thought everyone was against him and the visions showed him that it's not true.
The one thing that I will give the episode is - it was the corniest episode of television that I've ever seen and it's not even close. I must have cringed at least a dozen times. What a cheese fest
How could they not mention the song of ice and fire since we already knew that's what the whole universe is about lol They were always waiting for the winter even before GOT - we knew that lol imo - they are fucking up by trying to make every character semi-likable
I theorize they would have cancelled this show, however it's important for future spinoffs that they don't, so they're going to grind this thing out despite it not being very entertaining. This is an extremely boring show and man is it cheesy
@@LibertyRapsher yeh there is no way we could ever know but I would be fascinated to see how this show would have been received if it had no affiliation with thrones or had a pre exisiting fan base.
I'm not familiar with the books, however I'm guessing that the source material doesn't give this show much to work with. The storylines are simply not good. If someone where to do a quick run through of all the plot points up until this point it would be like... ehh, that's it. It's not good material. Then in addition to that, we know the overarching ceiling so the show doesn't even have that going for it. I theorize people want to like this show more than they actually do.
@@LibertyRapsher I think they have changed things a little from the books from what I’ve heard, but I’ve also not been invested enough in it to actually research that much about it. I think the biggest issue for the story is it’s a history book so doesn’t have to play or flow like a usual story. Also GoT is so good so it’s a hard act to follow and waaaay less likeable characters to invest in. But also if they just made the characters better and cast some of them better I would love this show lol So many forgettable characters Idk. There’s a lot of issues now I’m typing them out haha

@@LibertyRapsher 😂😂😂🤣 got em 😏
That white walker clip is A.I I swear to god. The dudes face on the left is super distorted and the white walker himself looks super uncanny.
@@Boobiejonshorts yeh it looks weird I agree not sure why
You make some good points. Agree that Arya being chosen to kill the white walker was ludicrous.

Yeah, love me some foreshadowing for an inevitably terrible pay off to a storyline we spent years waiting for.

I thought Daemon thinks she saw Rhaenyra, not his grandchild or something
