    What aspects of lighting do you feel you could improve on?

    This is a great tutorial. I have used "selected object as camera" before to position my lights and it made the process so much easier (using 9 lights on a car!) but it's nice to see how other artists approach this workflow. Glad to have you in my list of channels!

    Great introductory breakdown of lighting principles! Got into 3D recently and lighting is definitely kicking my butt. Only complaint is the length of the video and me having to scrub through parts.

    @9:27 losing the position of the light because you were using it as a camera... THIS GREAT PLACE FOR ROCKET LASSO...RECALL tool!! just thought if that..LOL Find a good spot.. add that tag to it... find another good spot add that tag...you could have many tags with adjustments on each tag....this good because I never use and object as a camera.

    Great tips. Though when I use the light as a camera redshift renders out the view from the perspective of the light and not the camera. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!

    • @slaybeast
      @slaybeast  2 роки тому

      Hey Gabriel - yeah just make sure you have the camera you want to render from selected in the redshift render view, otherwise it defaults do whatever view you're in when you fire up the IPR. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

    • @Gabe79999
      @Gabe79999 2 роки тому

      @@slaybeast There does not appear to be a way to specify which camera the Redshift RenderView renders other than whatever camera is in play in the viewport.

    • @slaybeast
      @slaybeast  2 роки тому

      @@Gabe79999 There is - you just need to select your camera from the drop down menu. It's just to the left of the lock icon in the redshift render/IPR view.

    Bro. Avoid unnecessary explanations, it destract the attention. Make it short and matter of fact. Use the same default workspace of c4d. Otherwise it will be confusing. Good luck. u will get more subscribers.
