Alot of my guns I turn the magnifcation to x1.0 while aiming down sights.. you don't get a quick transition from zoom in and out distorting your vision of things around you. I found it helped with being able to track your next target and line them up more efficiently
I like this new style of video. Many of your other videos are sprinkled with tips and tricks, but it's nice to see so much useful information concentrated and explained simply without you being pitched in combat and trying to get a point across at the same time. I've always enjoyed your content, Stodeh. Keep up the good work!
I believe it important that we recognise that there are exceptional players out there and not discredit them, your willingness to help the rest of us improve sets you apart, thank you!
@@Stodeh the downside is that lower DPI also means higher initial input delay (depending on your mouse). a lot of tests have been done on various popular mice such as the Razer Viper 8k, and the general consensus is that there's a larger initial delay at the first moment you move your mouse from standstill. A ton of gamers in general have lately started to play with a higher DPI because of this. The difference is close to nonexistent but it does save an occasional few milliseconds, which is probably a good tradeoff considering main thing that changes is just the DPI:Sens ratio. And you can easily revert your Dpi to normal once you stop playing ofc. but I do not see the "greater range" point as much of a point really, the only thing it changes is you're not able to get as precise values, but even with 1600dpi (the best "bang-for-ur-buck" value) the general value disparity per 1% is mostly 16eDpi (at
VEHICLE ZOOM RADIUS setting: to get to 150 (instead of 149 or 151), select the "Minimap" tab along the top, use the keyboard arrow keys to scroll down to Vehicle Zoom Radius, then move the arrow keys left and/or right to select 150.
Thanks a lot dude, every tip you shared helped me a lot. Battlefield seemed very simple at first but when I actually looked the settings I was completely lost. I knew I would miss important things. heck for the last tip I did the uniform soldier aiming myself by increasing the sensitivity more and more as the scopes get more zoomed, but now with this setting on I'm good !
I consider myself a BF aficionado and didn't know about the Weapon Depth of Field setting. Props to you and also for using the word "penultimate" in a sentence.
Thanks man. Because of your tips, plus some personal adjustments, my gameplay improved to a next level. Good we have people like you, keep it up whit the movies!
I play on xbox one s, not pc, but this was still super usefull! Thanks Stod! I always had it on tritinopia though, because I'm slightly colorblind, but all the other settings I had no idea about. This was really helpful.
I'm so happy their story was told and we get to have this for all future generations. This is what should be shown when a class discusses these topics.
I was hoping you would explain the uniform soldier aiming and you did!. You say that you recommend the coefficient percentage to be set to 133% however you have it set to 50%, why is that?
can you do a video with some regular gameplay but also show your hand/mouse movements, I'm interested on seeing that, I think also several people here :), I love your videos, keep them up!
Followed your tips and lowered my sensitivity and dpi for more accurate aiming. Got kicked from the special forces server and then got told I was obviously hacking after I rejoined to ask why. Hahaha, thanks a lot Stodeh!
Thanks dude. Advice on how you got your aim to where it is now that isn't "just practice dude" would be great. I'm sure there are some subtle things you figured out to get so good. Even things like how hard you grip your mouse, do you keep your elbow rested on an arm rest, etc.
I actually didn't know about that last one. I've done the others. I'm going to give it a try. I also changed my aim sensitivity and keep a DPI on my mouse of 1200. I believe default aim sensitivity is 20 or 25, I tried 17 as recommendations of my friend however that didn't work for me to well, I've done 4 which was too low but 10 seems to be really good. I'm still thinking of doing more tweaks however I take a while to do so because I try to give myself time to get used to a setting before writing it off unless it is really too off from what I would like.
Weapon DOF makes it realistic, it blurs the gun EXCEPT for the front sight. That simulates focusing on the front sight. Cool little detail is the front sight also blurs when you stick it into a wall or other obstacles.
Fun fact for bf1. If your sniping in a building you can use the flare gun inside the building when enemy soldiers know where you are and sneak up on you, then to reverse it and surprise the soldiers
Awesome video, Tom! :) .. I sure uniform soldier aiming. :) I've got it turned on but I got my coefficient on 0% . Really slow at first. But u get used to it :)
I found out that the Coefficient determines your ADS speed. For example at 0% or off, when you use ADS it will move very slowly. Turn it to 133% and ADS will be much faster. The speed is determined by your SAS and your SZAS. In short if your SAS is 50 and your SZAS is 100, then your ADS/Scope speed will be 100% of your 50 SAS. If you turn off your USA then your speed will be very slow. I could explain this much better if I had more time. Just understand this, 50 SAS 100 SZAS ADS movement is determined by your Uniform Soldier Aiming (USA). The higher that SZAS is will determine how fast you ADS. If USA is off, then ADS will be slow. Turn your USA on and get a good SAS and SZAS to work with
Great video, most settings I already knew except for the camera shake. I'm curious, what is your 360/cm distance? I've been doing some research on this and a lot of good players are in the 35 to 45cm range for a full turn. I tried that but I can't get used to such a low sensitivity, so for now I'll stick with 30cm for a 360.
Was supprised to see 400dpi 13%, tought Stodeh used a much lower sensitivity than that, I'm a 4,5 KD player (infantry only) and I use exactly the same settings with USA "ON", but I use all classes not only sniper.. Nice to see the mouse settings anyway...
I think the one of the rare good battlefield players with high DPI is Brekk1e who uses 1700dpi (Logitech G500).. If you look at setups for "pro" CSGO and Overwatch players, you will find that most use a DPI 400 / maximum 800. As Battlefield is also a "semi"-competitive shooter, the same settings will be good in this game too.. I think most Optical mouse will do 400 dpi. . Unless you got a lazer mouse maby?
great viedo. can you please tell us in th next video the best settings for the max frames? i'm having some problems with my gpu usage (i have a gtx 1060 turbo 6gb) that uses only 50-60%. my frames are like 40-60 maximum
Eugenio overclock or fiddle with the voltage with the MSI Afterburner software. Or maybe your processor is really bad which is known, Battlefield 1 uses most of your processor instead of the graphics card
I'd say your CPU is the bottleneck without knowing your specs. I have the same card, or similar (EVGA OC edition) and my frame rate is totally depending on how hard my CPU has to work. Since the last patches I get 40-60 on 64 player maps and 80-90 on 24-32 player maps and nothing improves even if I reduce quality from ultra to low. What determines my FPS is pretty much how much calculations my CPU is doing. In empty servers I can tweak my FPS to 144, but when the action starts it drops to the same low FPS no matter the settings. I believe BF1 use more CPU for each patch, I was running just fine in BETA.
wow, didnt know that. its strange because alle the other games that i have uses allways 100% gpu. i also tried to change graphics, but i get just 4-5 fps more. for example rainbow6, i stay on 80-90 fps with max settings. if i change settings i can reach 140-150 and its playable. thanks btw
Eugenio have you tried unparking your CPU cores? That can improve FPS somewhat, even though some people say it isn't necessary. bitsum.com/parkcontrol can help you with that, my solution has been to play in smaller games, but I intend to buy a new PC before Battlefield 2018/V.
Glad you like the new format :) Make sure to let me know which tip helped you most!
I've been wondering how you have your icons so saturated for a while now! I played with the opacity to no avail.. Colorblindness ftw
Stodeh nah man, dislike, not enough tea bagging experience, no triple collats not enough hacks, you changed
There will be more of that this sunday my dood
Stodeh hahaha now seriously nice video, the uniform aiming helped a lot, gud shit
Inclusion of audio settings tips to determine your enemy's position would've been better. Nevertheless great video.
I've got my camera shake scale set to 200 for maximum IMMERSION
Zohan Bozz Do you have the HUD off as well? Kappa
Damn straight
I can't stop laughing LMAO
i literally had that option set on '180' on default......
ZackOnCrack ‘Turrets’? Lmao
4:19 click and press A and D, then you can scale the bar one by one. thank me later
you literally just cured my OCD holy shit no joke
glad to hear that :)
Just use left and right arrows...

to this day his comment is saving lives.

Not sure is it applicable to the PC, but on consoles you need to turn off aim acceleration in order to have the consistent aim.
How will it be effect on "Uniform soldier aiming", stodeh talked about ?
Where can I find that setting
tried to execute your tips on sniping and yesterday i got my first 20-0 ever in any fps i played. thanks stodeh!!
plz more on this
continue this series
Azwad Rab I agree, maybe also commentating pro matches to help pugs understand differente flanks or tactics
Azwad Rab yes!
I really admire you. You're really good with a sniper its insane. Please, could you do a sniper guide too? Love your work.

DANNYonPC which one was Danny, again? Never heard of him. Jk, rock on, Danny!
Lol that "or me ofc" 😂😂
lol kind true
You forgot to add “(also like me ofc) for step 2 😂
Sweet guide mate, question is there any reason people use 400 dpi over 800 dpi? And which do you prefer and have?
The lower your DPI, the greater range you can adjust in-game sensitivity settings
You should always have a good dpi outside of game like on ur desktop and work ur sens around ur dpi
@@Stodeh the downside is that lower DPI also means higher initial input delay (depending on your mouse). a lot of tests have been done on various popular mice such as the Razer Viper 8k, and the general consensus is that there's a larger initial delay at the first moment you move your mouse from standstill.

Conner Garlock is 500 hours much?

It is to some. I never focus on only 1 game, I like playing a variety of games.
Hey Stodeh, you can set "Zoom Radius" to 150 if you use keyboard. Love your videos, keep it up!

Settings gameplay? Time to whip out the lotion. This is ASMR BF style featuring Stodeh's voice.
If you have a hint of ocd like me you can use arrow keys to change the on foot radius to 150 instead of 149
I can't wait for the video settings

40 cm 360 :) 400dpi 13% in game
