Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter game developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is the tenth installment in the Battlefield series and the first main entry in the series since Battlefield 4 in 2013. It was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in October 2016.

It's a bit of an odd one to use but once you have the hang of it the chauchat is incredibly deadly at every range
you're totally right, I really enjoy using the chauchat. I'm let down by the 20 rounds in a mag though which makes it lean towards being a skill cannon for me. High ability levels can make it really deadly though

Lmg 08/18 for support is def #1 probably the strongest gun in the game overall
I think my most used weapon is the peacekeper, the best easter egg weapon ever.
Most used being a sidearm is a big achievement. I still don’t have the peacekeeper so sad times for me

I see people with more service stars on peacekeeper than I have on my most used primary gun (Fedorov Optical, 46 service stars)

1600 kills with Peacekeeper, my best main gun is an Automatico with 700.😂 love that gun!

Assault
SMG 08 (most dangerous CQC weapon)
Hellriegel 1915 (most adaptive)
Medic
Fedorov (can't argue anything else, high dps, decent mag size, manageable recoil, good at most ranges)
Farquhar-Hill Storm (personal favourite, 3 shot kill, 20 round mag, low recoil, med-long range, but abysmal if you spam it)
Support
LMG 08 (this weapon always feels unfair, low recoil, high firerate, 100 round mag, hits like a truck)
Burton LMR (Probably the most unique gun in the game, great for killing bombers and causing smaller planes to crash)
Recon
Martini Henry Infantry (It's hard to beat that CQ sweet spot + high fire rate)
Gewehr M.95 Infantry (every other sniper is a tier below the MHI, but this is my personal favourite)
Gadgets
Syringe (A few medics can transform a team into an unstoppable force of the living dead, it can also one shot a number of elites, and acts as a unique melee weapon)
Flare Gun (Probably the most pivotal gadget, that extra info really helps to coordinate a team)
This is the most extensive list I've seen. I can totally get on baord with these choices. Some of them do come down to personal preference of course. As a manner of protest I rarely use the SMG 08 for instance but it is ridiculously good

Ah Yes a fellow, uses the Burton LMR to shoot out the tail or wing of low flying fighters causing them to crash
I really like the Huot. I know thats nit very popular, but it has very little recoil and spread. Plus its the only rifle i had a perfect 50 kill game with 😁
i really like the huot too, it's a good accuracy over firepower option. if you play it right it's great
To me it feels just like an m60 and I love the m60
Too low damage, the Lewis is a bit better, but the houot has incredible iron sights

I play console as well and have a bad habit of ADSing with automatic weapons, so usually the extremely rapid fire weapons I tend to stay away from. Here’s what I like to use
Assault: Hellriegel, MP18. Also enjoy the Ribeyrolles on occasion.
Medic: General Liu, RSC, Selbstlader (I tend to use Iron sights and have had great success with the Selbstlader for whatever reason), 1907 Sweeper, Fedorov, Farquhar Hill IMO is probably my favorite.
Support: M1917, BAR, LMG 08. The Benet Marcie is very underrated and similar to the BAR.
Sniper: Gewehr 95 is fun to go for headshots, but the Ross is basically the upgrade version of that with a sweet spot. I like both. Also use the SMLE and occasionally the G98 or M1903/M1917 for long range but I like playing close with iron sights.
General Liu is a graet choice, so fun to swap to the bolt action
I agree with your choices, but if I had to pick a few different choices for the Medic class I would have to choose the Selbstlader m1916 storm for its damage at various ranges, and the Mondragon storm variant for its efficiency at close to medium range.
I've personally found success with both weapons when in a more frontline positioning though both weapons have the unfortunate quality of being limited to semi-automatic fire.
I've been seeing a lot more of the selb 1916 lately, it's a really solid choice just a bit harder to use than others. The modragon's spread is a bit too drastic for my liking, it feels like you can't reach thet full fire rate a lo of the time expect up close
@@DameOver what?? lol. Believe me selbstlader 1916 marksman is the easiest weapon to use in the entire game. I think you guys are overrating full auto thing a bit too much. Selbst. is 3 shot kill at any range, very accurate, way better at range way easier to control than fedorov, and as u said u can switch to sidearm bc it's shit at close but since pistols are very strong in bf1 you can ignore it.

a tip: definetly get used to iron sights, i’ve always preferred iron sights from war storiers of sniper scops giving away position from the glare, i was pleasantly suprised in seeing that actually showcased in the game, it’s very fun to spot a scope from their glare you can see it from miles away

Support - Lewis LW or Madsen
Scout - Don’t really snipe but I usually go for the Ross Infantry if I’m going to try.

I’ll never forget grinding to unlock the fedorov avtomat on my brothers account. That gun was so fun to use
My faves are the Hellfighter Trench Shotgun, the 08/18 low wieght, the Benet Mercie Storm (or telescopic,) and the MP18 Optical
I haven't seen anyone else pick a shotgun yet. They're so fun on this game
good video but my problem as a new bf1 pc player are the people sitting in tanks/planes all game long and nothing more.
I played a lot on xbox years ago and to me the SMLE carbine was the best

my favs
A: machinepistole, m18 trench, and 1900 double barrel.
M: selbslator aka the luger rifle, fedorov, and the General Liu rifle.
Spt: m1911 extended (pistols in bf1 are lit btw), bene mercie storm, chauchat.
Sniper: G95 Carbine, G98 Infantry, SMLE Carbine, russian trench.
I see the Federov Trench more then the optical. But I do prefer the optical, I get more range with it.
The trench is decent but it really does affect the range. Optical is the way to go
My favorite weapons for each class are, Asault: Automatico Trench. Medic: Autoloading Extended. Support: 08/18. Scout: Russian 1895, trench and sniper variants.

The RSC is my go-to primary for Medic class. Once you’re over the learning curve, getting those sweet 2-tap kills is immensely satisfying.
Reload really sucks but as long as you’re sticking with your team (as you usually should as Medic) it’s no biggie

Medic: Fedorov trench/ML 1907 sweeper, Farquhar optical/liu factory, rsc optical/howell sniper
Support(which i play the least): Bar storm/Parabellum low weight, img08 low weight/chauchat factory, perino defensive/mg1917 telescopic
Scout: Gewehr95 infantry/Martini Henry(nostalgia), Ross marksman/Smle carbine, Enfild silenced/G98 sniper
like some others, i am a bit late to this party, but why not list my favorite guns
Assault:
M1917 trench carbine(low recoil, large mag, fast firerate, amazing hipfire accuracy, and very good range)
Ribeyrolles 1918 Factory(bipod, fast firerate, bayonet, long range)
Model 10-A Hunter(Fast Firerate, insane range, damage, and also have a bayonet)
Support:
BAR M1918 Trench(very aggressive, fun to use as a DMR)
MG 15nA Low Weight(Good mag size, high firerate, goof hipfire accuracy, overall just fun to use)
Medic:
M1907 SL Sweeper(Large mag size, perfect firerate, great damage, range, and accuracy in both hipfire and ads)
Scout:
Gewehr M.95 infantry(clear optics, fastest firerate of all snipers, great damage, bayonet, best gun for an aggressive scout)
Universal Pistol:
M1911 Silenced(High damage, perfect firerate and mag size, and a silencer for that satisfying gunshot noise)
Assault Pistol:
Gasser M1870(Very High damage, and is full auto)
Scout Pistol:
Mars Automatic(High Mag Size, High damage, good at range)
The trench carbine is an interesting choice. I think it's fine but there are better options for damage output that need a bit more control at range, I don't really vibe with it personally but yeah good choices dude
I did most of my damage with the 1907 SL Sweeper and the Fedovov Avtomat
Medic weapon nr. 1 for mes is definetly them autoloading extended. The feeling and the close range capabilities arethe best out of all medic weapons and if u tap fire u can even fight in long range battles. Fedorov is nr. 2 because it can feel very inconsistent from time to time
At close range I'd alwasy want the autoloading extended, it's so good

I barely, if ever, see it mentioned, but the Mondragon Storm has to be my favorite since day 1. It excels in all ranges, except maybe close quarters against decent Assault players.
The mondragon storm used to dominate the game, it can be really good. I think there are better choices that are more versatile but at mid range it's one of the best

It can harassing scout and also still manageable when pushing the sector with The assault and medic as long use right perks, maintaining the distance atleast not in effective range of any type of SMGs and know where to settle up the gun.

Martini Henry Infantry delivers a heavy punch. Love making double kills with it, hitting two enemies in a row :)

@@lugi25 Scout I see in BF1, but in some other games I saw they called it Recon. Which is not exactly right I see now. Recon should be used only without actively engaging the enemy. Which doesn't happen in any online FPS game I play, so you're right should always be scout.
Honestly, my absolute fav for the scout is the 1895 trench. It’s incredible. You can go up against SMGs if you can aim it. (Plus, with peacekeeper you get to do the yee haw loadout haha)

seby m1916 all series is kinda op to tho for a new player, and farqual hill is good to, perfect damage range and rate of fire
I like them both, good balance at range and fairly close. I’m seeing a lot of people opt for the selb marksman recently

Mondragon Sniper for Medic is a good option as well, if you want longer range. It takes 3 body shots (or one headshot and one body shot) to kill, though. The fire rate helps, however.
I like it too, you have to use the bipod though or it's a struggle
Eh, I have been using it without using the bipods. In fact, I didn't even remember it having bipods lol. I just run around and take potshots from afar while standing still. It's really easy to use.

MP18 Optical for large game modes
1900 Slug. Total skill cannon. Up close insta kill and you can snipe with it. Just don't miss.

Farquaar Hill Optical like an EZ mode RSC you can spam a bit more
Support
Huot for run and gun
Parabellum for distance/mounted/defensive
Burton for killing planes
Recon
Martini Henry because it's a skill cannon and fun to use
Good choices, lots of scope for different playstyles there
We don't mention the smg08 anywhere. Just forget it exists so people never look at it.... Hopefully....

the lmg 08 is very good i would snipe snipers with it and close range its good to only you have to remember to relaud when you can the less rounds left the longer the relaud takes

Im still not sure about my list im level 94 and used some weapons breifly but:
Assault: automatico, ribrolleyes for the bipod
Medic: Avtomat trench, not used the optical yet, the rsc, selbstadder 1906 is great up close as well as 3 shots at range
Support: madsen mg storm, chauchat low weight, bar trench i can control it at medium range cause vertical recoil
Scout: russian 1895, ross infantry favorite iron sights, gewher m. 95 infantry and silenced sniper
i heard this guy does really good streams and have a funny and nice community 6 days a week, and to break the ice u can bully me
and his mods are out of control
My main medic gun is the selbslander m1916, idk why but that gun feels so satisfying
it's a nice 3 tap kill, good choice

Nice list. I think shotguns get missed off because they are so situational. Some maps they can be amazing but for most of them it can be quite punishing for most players
@@DameOver I mean, you are rigth about shotguns, they are situational weapons and pretty hard to use effectively. But once you master them and learn how to flank, they become absolute units. The 10 A hunter its a no brainer, it has the capacity of killing 6 enemys on succession whitout them landing any shot on you, because of the one shot potential. For me (Even against veteran players) picking the 10 A is like putting easy mode

Medic:Howell Automatic Factory w/ AA sights, mondragon optical for counter sniping
Support: Lewis low weight, Burton LMR for harassing planes
Sniper:Ross MkIII infantry, Gewehr 95

It might be slow and only good at close to mid range my favorite weapon for assault is the model 10a hunter
it's a lot of fun depending on the map. I go with the factory variant more often than the hunter but the extra range on the hunter is nice
Assault: Automatico Trench for sure. Does what assau ok t does best and if you trust the hipfire, you'll win at surprising ranges
Medic: Howell sniper. Reaches far, 20 round mag and has half decent hipfire
Support: Lewis Low Weight. Can do almost anything except closer quarters, can't overheat and has a fast reload
Scout: either Ross Infantry or Arisaka Infantry. Both are excellent at aggro scout
I started using the arisaka more recently and I forgot how good it can be
1907 Sweeper, SMLE carbine and automatico storm (dont really play support)
good choices. I prefer the 1907 factory personally
no shotguns.. not even as a honorable mention...disappointing.

I'm sorry man. Shotguns are fun but I think are a bit too limiting to fit in this list I'm afraid.
Solid choices though, the Burton is always a good shout for close quarters

I’ve had a few people say that. Up close its smg08 all day but the hellriegel takes it a little bit further away for most players. It’s very user friendly

I would imagine that the best guns are the same ones when the last major balance patch came out years ago? Have the devs actually changed anything recently or is this just moreso the most popular weapons at the time? Not thowing shade I'm genuinely curious 😅
It's shifted a little as the player base has risen and fallen really. There's a wider gap between the skill canons and the easy weapons. Anything that's a jack of all trades gets used less nowadays

As a pretty bad player in all fps games (lvl 56~ in BF1 rn) I like the following:
Assault: Hellriegel or Hellfighter
Medic: Fedorov Avtomat
Support: Bar storm or 1917 low weight
Scout: I don't play scout.
I want to edit this as now a lvl 78~
Assault: hellriegel or annihilator
Medic: mondragon storm or Fedorov
Support: 1917 low weight, burton optical
Scout: I've been enjoying the gewehr 98 sniper lately
the scout one made me laugh. All reliable choices though, there's always a toss up between efficiency and ease of use. That's why BF1 has so many viable options in each class
@DameOver yeah I really like the variety. I've actually been using the annihilator today and I've been doi g fantastic. Scout is just way too difficult for me since I can't aim fast enough or well enough to headshot.
@@The_Real_Quantum If you are on pc try experimenting with the sens and practise. The feeling of hitting HS with snipers is so rewarding and taking out pilots every now and then is amazing when you have gotten more used to sniping.

it can be in the right hands and situations, admittedly it's very hard to beat when it's used correctly but I've found there are better options, of course that's just my perspective, I know some people would argue otherwise. I suppose the lethality is different becasue of the aiming for PC and console

Nearly everyone uses these and nearly everyone has 100 service stars. I use all three slots for all of my classes and don't have more than 30 service stars with any weapon because I vary which ones I use quite a bit. There are my classes.
Assault - 1897 Trench Gun Hunter, Annihilator Trench, MP18 Trench
Medic - M1907, Fedorov Trench, RSC 1917
Support - BAR Storm, Chauchat, M1917 Low Weight
Scout - Gewehr 95 Infantry, Lebel Infantry, Gewehr 98 Infantry
Sometimes I change one or two out just to mix it up. I'm not a pro, but neither am I a bad player. It just sucks to see everyone use the same guns with few exceptions. Like why play the game? You're not good, you're just using the easy mode weapons. I'd think it would get old quickly.
People will gravitate to what's easiest most of the time but it does leave room for the people using the skill canoms to dominate
This game is so fuckjn hard, but so rewarding once you figure it out
Once you learn enough about it it's a lot of fun

Playing on PC (750h), I always used Roze and Kht's tierlist on reddit but its rather focused on the PC version of the game

best weapons:
Assault: Smg08 on PC, Hellriegel on Console since having reduced H- and Vrec makes this a nobrainer
Medic: RSC (2 tap machine on pc) or Selbstlader M1916 Marksman aka 3 hit machin for long to medium ranges - close range take either the autoloading 8.25 ext. or the M1907 Trench, forget about the sweeper thats a noobtrap on PC atleast
Support: You wanna MMG from 200+yards? take the M1917 MG (Telescopic) and there you have your laser that goes across the whole map (also good to take out any bomber, yes even big ilya muromets bomber that fly out of reach of the Flaks)
You want and LMG for cqb: grab the Bar M1918A2 (Thats only for preordering BF5) else grab the BF1 version in the storm variant
You wanna fuck with attack planes? grab the Burton with its incediary rounds (that work like incendiary rounds planes carry)
Recon(most played):
Long range: The silenced Enfield is fine, else take the M1903
Mediu: Gewehr 98 for sure because of its velocity youll gonna hit more of those shots, great beginner weapon
Close range: Arisaka Patrol for sure (that thing is a beast) as its my most played weapon as i like good handling on guns + it has an extra feature that allows for you to reload at 1 bullet left but still insert a clip of rounds into the chamber (dont know if thats on purpose because of how other guns with clips function correctly with the 1-bullet at a time instead of inserting a clip reload)
Quick tip for recon: USE YOUR 2 FREAKIN FLARES BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE, thanks.
As sidearm: 1911 for sure for its 3btk and best performance overall and a mag instead of cylinder (silenced variant prefered since it gives no minimap detection)
The only time you really want to play a revolver for everything except its style is for 2 shotting people with melee attack: 1 shot revolver->melee with heavy/medium melee weapon = enemy dead in 1 animation since you cancel out the shot with melee attack animation

Thanks for taking the time to write all of this out dude. I was asking for a bit of both really, generally people consider the guns they like the most as the best ones. I have been having a really good time with the arisaka lately so I'm glad someone else likes it a lot too

it's definitely up there and is one of my favourites. I could've mentioned so many guns that come close to being the top choices. Would've made the vid an hour long most likely so thought I'd save anyone that watches from that fresh hell

I'm so sad with this game because everyone else has all the good guns and I am level 1 for all classes pretty much and I don't even level up I feel like the game is bugged. It sucks so much.

I find it odd there is no mention of SMG 08/18, I presonally really dislike it ,'cos its just too op, and I dont use it for that reason, but it is without a doubt the best cqc weapon in the game
I've had a few people say that and it's understandable. In my experience the smg08 can get outshot fairly easily even just outside of smg range. Within 10m it's defintely top dog but I was aiming for more rounded choices for these picks
The ross rifle is insanely good, and it has that canadian patriotism, nice gun overall
If you listen closely you can hear the bullets say 'sorry' as they leave the gun

I call the RSC the Reload Rifle because you'll spend so much time reloading it. Don't like it in very close quarters, which is where I find myself a lot of the time. I'd prefer a 3 hit takedown with a ~20 round mag (Farquhar Hill) than a 2 hit takedown with a 6 round mag. But yeah if you have the skill for it's a fun skill cannon
It can be tough to pull off but one shot from the rsc puts the enemy into melee takedown range (with the heavy ones) can be super fun to one tap and then beat them with a shovel
it is pretty much a reload after every fight so i get you. It's a trade off with the power per shot
I do the same thing with the high damage melee weapons

The Gewehr M.95 is the best recon weapon
I really like the m.95 because it needs a higher skill level. It's becasue it's a difficult skill canon it doesn't make the list, the trade off between ease of use and capability isn't quite enough but I totally understand why people love it

The cei-rigotti is great for medics, very fast time to kill but the reload is a bit tricky. Mp18 trench is a great one as well for assault
