Ive got the first model 588RTX wedges and they are excellent. My 56/10 sand wedge is wearing out on the sole a fair bit so Im looking to replace it. Now the newer wedges have this sole grind crap and I have no Idea on which one to get. Why do they overcomplicate stuff? One grind is for firm turf, one is for open face, one is for full shots, I do every one of these shots multiple times in a round??????

Sounds like you prefer to keep it simple...The RTX 4 wedge that would be most similar to what you've been using in terms of playability and performance would be the 56 MID.

@@2ndswing Just bought the 56/10 full. I figured my original 588RTX had no sole grind then the RTX 4 with the same loft/bounce and no sole grind would be very similar. Only diff is wedge flex shaft in the 588RTX vs S200 in RTX 4. C Wot happens.

I can’t decide if I need low or mid. I’ve been researching this for literally hours over the last few days. I plan to buy 52, 56, 60. I’m a 15 to 18 handicap. Please help!

Thanks for watching and commenting! Keep in mind that you might need the same sole for every wedge. In fact, it's likely better to have different grinds. For example, if you use a 52 for mainly a full swing, that will likely require a mid grind as it is best on full swings. Meanwhile, if you like to open the face of a 56 or 60, or you play on firm conditions, that's where the low grind can work really well.

@@2ndswing Thanks so much for replying :) That makes sense. In fact, I’ve decided to go with 54 mid and either a 58 mid or 58 low.... The 54 and 58 will space well with my 50 gap wedge... I’m just afraid a 58 low may be too difficult to hit yet I will be able to open the face better and the opposite with the 58 mid... What do you think?
