    Is it too stressful to transport fish and bamboo shrimp from their aquarium to fresh dechlorinated water for a ride 20-30 minutes to their new aquarium home?

    I watched the 45cm reset video, it helped a lot on resetting my tank. I wasn't sure what to do the the live stock tho (during the scape and after). I guess I will find out.

    Could you please suggest how to do a reset and ensure that a planaria infestation does not get transferred to the new layout? Do u need to throw away the filter media as well? I have seen some of the planaria in the filter as well.

    So far quite useful but as mentioned by someone else what to do if you dont have a second tank? As you have to move the fish what to do exactly? Buy a good sized bucket? Use a smaller cheaper glass tank for the time being?
    Prolly use the filter on it with a heater, what to do about light?
    Will the plants survive if i just dump them into the bucket/tank and if i setup the new tank and i have to use my filter again what to do with the bucket and fishs inside? Like adding a sponge filter prior to the tank before disassembling to prime it with bacteria? use a small internal filter for the time being?
    And how long till my new tank is cycled while using the filter i used before...1 week or 2 or 3?
    Can you even recycle a part of the old soil as a base for the new tank as its Nutritions rich?
    Or just how quick you can insert the fish again...i guess if you know what you are doing and add beneficial bacteria you can slowly put in snails and shrimps pretty quick, then algea eaters and hardy fish and day by day add a few more but as you can see there are many unanswered questions that you didnt cover and i hope to see a video about it too =)
    Keep up the good work! Gambate!

      Official WASABI Moderator: A temporary tub large enough to house your livestock would be sufficient. Have filtration and a heater (if required), and do water changes as usual. Plants will most likely die if they aren't wrapped with something and put into lead (if they aren't planted into the substrate). If filtration is setup correctly, a tank may take up to 1 month to fully cycle, but generally safe after 2 weeks. Never recycle any substrate, that means the soil and power sand! 🐟🎏

    hi, what about leaving the filter media in aquarium water with an air stone pump to preserve the bacteria ?

    • @NORIaquaCh
      @NORIaquaCh 3 роки тому

      Official WASABI Moderator: An air stone may keep some beneficial bacteria alive, but they may starve of insufficient nitrite/nitrate, depends on how long you have the filter "offline" for 🐟🎏

    Not a reset question but I would like to know what causes CO2 build up in a heavily planted non CO2 injected aquarium with high aeration and surface agitation.

    • @NORIaquaCh
      @NORIaquaCh 3 роки тому

      Official WASABI Moderator: That would be the plants expelling oxygen, slowly forming a bubble. Once the bubbles have reached capacity, it will be buoyant and float to the surface.

    For 90x45x45 can we use a filter of 400 ltr- 2500ltr per hour (adjustable). For aquascaping.

      I have reused my soil. I washed it and the reused it in a new scape I wouldn't say anything has been different compared to fresh ADA aquasoil version 1 except for hundreds literally hundreds of liters of water changes in the first few days to get rid of cloudiness. But now its been a few months and its fine. Some things to note though I am dosing APT complete all in one fertilizer, my soil was only 9 months old when I reused it and I have added root tabs to keep nutrient content. Also I wasn't concerned about the soil no longer lowering KH as I am using RO water and only remineralize gh.
