- Finally got time time to throw the “ is " lip on the E30, as well as give the New CSL air box a good look through. Went with a Haimus racing box, and I’d have to say, it is something else. Enjoy!

I’ve got smog coming up and may have to go back to stock manifold. If I do I’ll try and film an install video, it’s fairly simple !

Hey, is the airbox as loud as the original Weithje CSL Airbox?
Die weithje was very particular with the overall thickness of the carbon ply’s, as he has mentioned that the thickness is the biggest determining factor in the sound, and the weithje boxes are generally pretty thin in order to get that classic CSL grunt. I would say that this is is equal to if not one tick louder than the original airbox as I sprung for the Motorsport design which has one fewer layers of clear coat, which will mean one less layer to dampen the sound. It has an amazing growl at around 3-4K and screams all the way up to 8k. On the other hand, when your just cruising it is very civil and has the right amount of volume. Cheers! 🙏🙌
