- Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!! I hope my viewers are enjoying the new 4K videos!!! Today, I'm running solo. Well, I have my trusted Peterbilt 389X #11 with a Miller Industries, Century 1150R rotator heavy towing and recovery unit with me. We have a little bit of a challenge ahead for the FIRST job of the day. Next week I'll show you the SECOND job of the day. Anyway, back to this job, a mobile parking lot (car hauler) gets stuck coming down a driveway out of a hotel parking lot. The trailer bottoms out on the crest of the slope and the whole thing comes to a screeching stop. He can't go forwards and he can't go backwards. We call this getting "high centered". Our ARC nemesis has to join in on the fun while we shut the road completely down to try to free this unit before some major storms hit. I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10". I could have approached this (any) job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result, safely.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

Some of us have been watching long enough we recognize a lot of locations, almost as if we have been there ourselves.
The only thing that got hurt was his pride he sounded like a decent guy .
Nervis !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
The fact that he swallowed his pride and told the tow truck driver, "I'll take any advice you give me", proved that he is smart. He took responsibility for his mistakes, and is willing to let someone with experience make the call.😊👍
I haul cars for the same company. If that’s the worst thing that has happened to him . He shouldn’t be embarrassed at all. A million things can happen when hauling cars. I’ve never gotten hung up in the thirty years I’ve been out here on any truck. Who’s to say it won’t happen to me tomorrow. We do our ten hour breaks in these hotels we’ve never been to all of the time. Some setups have a lift system, some don’t. I’m assuming since he said he’s in a spare he assumed that truck would clear. These things get hung up all of the time. Pray you don’t do it on a railroad crossing. Great vid…..
and a wallet. will cost money.

Thanks Ron for taking your FANS TO WORK TODAY....God Bless.
Another great video, the level of professionalism never drops but always increases.
I remember that call, it was another great adventure for Ron. The embarrassed driver was quickly freed and sent on his merry way. The asphalt scars are evidence a few rig drivers caught up unaware and in the same predicament. Not only do I really like your content, I am learning a lot as well. Watching the young guns growing into highly educated , safe operators is great to watch and learn with.
You are preparing a select group of great people to take the reigns when you choose to step back from the front lines to ready the next generation of operators. I think most followers likely know you'll be going on calls until Missus Prat says it time to enjoy our retirement years, with plans in the works for more adventures away from the shop and the hustle and bustle of an business owner's life. I think I can safely say; "knowing in my heart you will likely follow your father's knowledgeable and dedicated footsteps. To be there for a few little jobs when it's busy or when that day arrives that your knowledge and experience is needed on scene, and for your operators knowing when to make that call".
A fantastic video Ron. Thank You and God Bless to all of Midwest Truck's extended family.
1:06 Ron, i really appreciate your efforts in helping people and doing a very professional job during their hour of need.
I am 80 yrs young and still learning about life and you have helped me immensely simply by the way you are organized! I find myself now very deliberately putting away items I have just used back to the same spot I found them in weather it be tools, household items, my wife loves you for it!
Keep putting out these videos as they are addictive to watch. Fantastic job!!!
When you click on UA-cam and the first thing you see is your company on the thumbnail and you so happen to know the guy.
Fridays with Ron and the tator!!!!❤
My wife hates following a car carrier. She admits it's an irrational fear but she's afraid a car will drop off of the carrier and smash into her vehicle.
me too. I don't want to be any where near a truck. I pass them fast and won't let them stay beside me when they pass me. I have seen too many things fall off trucks to want to be close.
That is the HAAS Alert transponder. Thanks for watching and God bless.
As I've been driving for nearly 25+ years, I am completely with your wife... it's unreasonable that I feel it, but it's the whole final destination vibe..... What... if? Same way with logging trucks... Ron, thanks for all you do.
Cars aren't likely to fall off, but the trailer can kick up debris from the road that could damage a following vehicle.
I have seen one come off a car hauler
1:56- either truck has fast blinker, or it is warning a bulb may be out🤔
Directionals will blink fast when a bulb is out
I high center a loaded low boy trailer with a d8 dozer on it and it took two tow trucks to pull it off great video and great job with the recovering and God bless from GA and stay safe
Nicely done! That trailer dragging across the concrete was like nails racking across a chalkboard! Guess that shows my age as there aren't many of those anymore! Stay safe & God bless!
Ron, one summer years ago I drove a truck that had a 5 speed tranny and 2 speed axle. The terrain where I worked required a lot of shifting. Listening to Tator's engine as you went through the gears brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for the great videos that help make the lives of your fans very enjoyable.
I work for a small family owned towing company in northern Wisconsin & another option is to unhook the rear suspension air leveling valve arm & move it up, thus raising the car haulers suspension giving it more ground clearance so that the driver can drive out of a situation like that without having to winch the car hauler especially when it's loaded with vehicles. We sometimes have to also adjust the suspension leveling valve to tow those trucks as the mini fifth wheel plate is so low to the ground. Just another option.
Our ARC nemesis has to make an appearance even though it wasn't a factor.
Always a great job, Ron. Stay safe and God bless.
9:42- what is it you say, "theres multiple ways to get to 10?"🤔🤣🤣
Probably friendlier to cats than saying "multiple ways to skin a cat".
I used to work for Cassens Transport, and I saw a lot of Jack Cooper drivers come through my yard. Good people, good drivers.
I’m a Cooper
Nice work! Sucks that the pins wouldn’t fit. Pulling on those corners are sketchy and glad you went with plan b. 💪💪💪
I've often wondered how often those car haulers high center. They sit awfully low
Was thinking that. Hope he doesn't get stuck on a RR crossing !!
That car hauler is 80 feet usually we can raise the suspension however some you can’t raise
@@brianb8516 sadly that does happen.
Good Morning from NZ. Love this channel.
Love Ron's wit along the way.
Nothing better than a Friday afternoon with Ron and Tator.
Take it easy Ron ,there were a few Darns said there ,but know the feeling, the little things that just sets the mood .
Glad you showed why it's not always a straight pull out of a situation.
I am surprised that those trailers don't have a height adjustable system ,because I'm sure there are many driveways like that one .
We are always very happy when there isn't any injuries I'm those accidents. Some of them looked so bad when you get there. Thanks so much for service in keeping the highways and roadways safe Ron. God Bless You Guys.
Good job Ron you remember one thing never doubt your self
I was a bit surprised the driver let you struggle with the cable when he could easily have helped a bit. Anyway a nice job!
Amazing!! BRAVO!!
If that truck has air suspension, you could undo the bolt on the air ride height valve and raise the airbags enough to get unstuck and then put it back together once on level ground?
My husband and I just wait for you to put on a new job. Thank you so much for sharing. You do a great job. God bless you and your family.
What a super nice tow truck, I’m impressed with all it has for equipment….high tech!
The hotel should have a sign to note a steeper drop was ahead. Apart from trucks, low profile cars are also going to do a lot of scraping and panel damage.
Good plan B Ron
Hello, Ron. Just a little behind in watching the Midwest Truck & Tow videos. Good to view this an easy recovery, no person was injured, and the driver is on his way to the destination: Marblehead. And, always good to have an alternate plan. As you stated previously, ‘ there is more than one way to get to ten. ‘
Stay safe & God bless.
Praying for you all every day may God Bless you all
Appreciate all your hard work mr Pratt
Just watched a video from you awhile back where you were having a hard time lining up on the rails and commented on having a camera to help you. Ironically you did have a camera that could have helped you. GoPro’s have wireless Bluetooth functionality. Via the GoPro app you can connect your camera to send a live video feed to your phone, thus your third set of eyes. Hope this comes in handy… cheers
2:12 Nice of that little blue can to hang back, don't see it often enough.
Cool Ron thanks 😊
Thanks Ron ! great video God Bless.
Looks like a job for the Yankum Rope. God bless

A little Scratched Pride.

Hope you have a great weekend!!
Nice customer. Good thing he only had one vehicle on the carrier. And you missed the storm! Nice job, Ron. Stay safe.
Ah, that screech at the end. Glad it worked out. I've seen a few vehicles high grounded around southern Oregon, not all long trailers, but one always feels for someone in that situation. Always glad to watch your videos!
Jack Cooper been hauling cars longer than I am old and I'm old.
Thank you so much for the video please post more videos a week God bless you
another job done well
Nice job, well done.
Nice job Ron love your video stay safe
Great video Ron! Be safe!
Always awesome to watch stuff you do ron! I'm trying to post alot of what I do on mine since I learned alot of it from your videos
Good morning from GA
Good morning. Whereabouts in Georgia?
Friday with Ron and the Tater. Always a interesting video to watch. Also, the mid week video with Ethan and Gavin is also a nice watch as well. 😊
That tornado was a crazy night.
Good morning Ron Great video and may the Lord bless you and the crew like your videos
Kind of amazing how an improper assessment of what type of traffic and the flow creates a pocket of mayhem for everyone to work around. You can bet they’d never build a loading dock that angled nowadays.😏 Stay safe Ron.🙏❤️
Like how you mentioned outback steakhouse whilst having a kangaroo in the cab😊❤
Seeing all the gouges on the pavement, it looks like a lot of trucks/trailers don't 'like' that entrance! 😛
Not just gouges, there's a few areas of concrete that have been cut out and replaced due to previous damage.
ANOTHER JOB WELL DONE RON
God bless you and yours stay safe out there 👍
Well done Ron nice easy one for a change
Amazing 👍 👀🍀
Another fantastic digging s pull Ron
Excellent video! It makes a Friday not so difficult to get through ( probably cause you and your crew are doing the hard labor)!
Awesome 😎
No one hurt, a gr8 pull, Ron.
I've ben wanting to tell you, Ron, how much I enjoy your UA-cam channel. I like your professionalism and honesty. I am in Arizona and there is another company here in the Northern part of the State that has their own channel and I just don't care for their style. They get the job done, but their "shoot from the hip" style is not safe. I think your approach to these dangerous jobs is the better way to go. God Bless you, your wonderful Family, and all your employees. Stay safe.
Another great video Ron. Thanks for sharing this insightful problem. Where was your minion to tote, haul a save your exertion.? Wishing you and your team a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings. Peace brother.
portable parking lot
Expensive exit strategy 😁
Ron, it amazes me how situations like this come up. I recall a moving company going down a street with a cul-de-sac with a tractor trailer, and not being able to turn around at the end of the street. It was a bit of an issue backing out for them.
Good jobs
Hey, Ron! I’m glad I’m not the only one who huffs an ‘ puffs doing what use to not be a problem..
I just retired an too think of what I was capable of and what I use to do winds me just thinking about it.
I watching your videos and I have my bells on your videos and I'm subscribed to your videos 👍
trucker from Sweden since 1985,,,,,,
Good job Ron getting him pulled off the ramp! The ramp needs a longer slope!
good job
Great job Ron as always. Can’t believe the driver didn’t help you one bit. Think his bang out off order.
That looked like an easier job than you normally do Ron.
Stay safe.
Most Definitely nice toy there man!
Interesting video. Metro Detroit Loves you guys!!! G
Hey Ron thanks for another great video did you see Holmes has come out with a 600r medium duty rotator
It must be REALLY frustrating for the other drivers to find their parking lot entrance is blocked by another parking lot...
😄😁😆😅😂🤣
