Watch this very spacious 2024 Peterbilt 579 Ultra Loft Edition truck! Explore the truck inside-out and check out some of the very cool NEW features that Peterbilt have added to it.
One thing I forgot to mention was the updated cupholder design. They got rid of the plastic pull-out design and replaced it with a stationary, good-looking and very sturdy cupholder design.
Also, this truck doesn't have a hump (bump) in the middle of the cabin (where the rubber and carpet meet) so that you don't accidentally trip.
The steering wheel controls speak for themselves so that's why I didn't mention them, but I guess they're an upgrade too!
Anyway, I hope you like this type of review and that I deserved to subscribe and like.

I'm a company driver and they just put me in the new 2024. This truck is awesome, love it!!
Does your truck idle? I am also a company driver got this, but it doesn’t idle…
@@Msstrucker74 yes mine idles. You need to take it the shop and have them turn the no idle off. Mine has from the beginning but I have seen other drivers have the same problem.
table is crap
@@soflodoug it serves it purpose
Driver cool. Owner operator not so cool. I couldn't sleep knowing I owed that much. Congratulations on your new ride😊
I drove a 2017 for a while I loved it only problem it always had a coolant leak lots of people had same problem, and replaced air purge valve once other than that great
Peterbilt should really offer some sort of folding table like a 780/860 Volvo. They offered it back in the early 2000s with the Bed And Breakfast sleepers in the 379. Having this much room and offering very little in terms of practical use of the space is a bit silly. The W900 gives you 86 inches of sleeper and you at least get a couch. The Cascadia has a folding workstation, Volvos been doing it for the past 25+ years, I really hope Peterbilt brings it back.
I agree, i have started looking at an hdt and find cascadia, mack, volvo have the drivers lounge, why peterbuilt doesnt is just odd to me.
I wish they had better lighting in the bunk. I installed LED lights under the top bunk for better lighting. That would be an awesome feature 😊
Nice 579! Peterbilt is the ultimate driving experience.
They're all junk, with DEF regen BS. You'll be in the shop more then on the road.
Its definitely a beautiful truck an great video brother from outside of the truck to the inside well done but being a heavy hauler I need a 18spd manual transmission but like I said beautiful truck
It is very beautiful and excellent. Only when the engine was turned on, the room shook violently.
Very well presented! Thanks
Bro great dam video
Thanks👉🏾🔥💯💪🏽
Added a sub
Thank you sir! Much appreciated!
Good video 579 best roomy turns nice drives smooth with Cummings and 13 speed best truck. I drive older model I'm glad they kept gages not electronic
Gauges take forever to load up.
I'm used to 26 analog gauges, dono if I could handle "scrolling" for the gauge I want to see at a glance.
I drive 579 peterbrilt, so wonderfull. I am from MEXICO. .
Keep up the good work 😊
Thank you! Will do!
Very nice,,now test in winter months,,see if it can handle cold weather blowing snow,,🤔
Clever design. As a former OTR driver, it would’ve been nice to have something like that back in the day. 🤗
Agreed!
Nice truck amigo
Wow beautiful car 🚗, watching from Allacapan Cagayan valley
Awesome, I need one
Nice I could live in this truck
I like the table on the passenger side. I probably wouldn't use it but cool. I also like the glove compartment. And no never scene it. On the vents i always heard it was to keep the cabin from sealing up. So different take. On the driver side bunk door should be a two part deal. I wouldn't want to open up every time i need a strap. On the wood trim should be lighter color. That is different the mirror doesn't move while opening door. On the digital cluster hopefully that doesn't go out. On the bunk windows seem small for a big truck. My international has nicer back mirrors. Great design on getting to top bunk. I saw the net on top bunk but thought you can't stay up there while operational. I didn't see a tv section.
Trucks came a long way from the B61 Mack I learned on and drove for about 7 years
A Beautiful Truck 👏👏👏☺👍🙄♥️🇺🇸⛟
Nice tour!!
Thank you!
Awesome video!! You just sold a 2024 Pete!
Great tour. Nice and concise without all the fluff that some product tours have. You managed to get what some what have taken over half an hour or more, into a nice 15 minutes. Not quite a 379 but very nice truck. Though I would get any color but white or black.
Thank you for your kind words!
Hey there. Can I get a table instead of the lower bed, as option, like on Volvo 860? 🤔
As long as you’re a company, driver great
Do the auto Petes still lunge in reverse, or have they taken care of that?
Awesome job When do we get one lol 😂
I've been in one for 2 days now. Could you make the mirrors any smaller? That 50% reduction isn't enough. We really don't need mirrors anyway . I also like how all the instruments are on one cluster and their digital I also appreciate how you have to actually hold the pump in each side as you fuel I'm sure it's for a safety reason that the nozzle won't stay put. Safety safety safety
I would love to see that puppy outfitted with a #GreenAPU. Glad to see that it also has the Cummins ISX 15.
You have an awesome channel that brings awareness and gives a voice to hard working Truck Drivers.
My question is who moved the truck after she got arrested? Was it a CDL licensed driver that took possession of the truck or was it just another cop?
Thank you for your kind words, but who got arrested where?! What cop?!
Take forever dash power up. No 360 cam?
Is there any plugs at the bottom of the bed?
Too bad nobody can afford this beauty!
Finally a Peterbilt you can access the sleeper without having to duck or stub your toes on the piece of plastice between the seats.
I've heard that from someone before as well. Was it that big of a problem? I never drove a Peterbilt so I don't really know the struggles you had
wow what a nice plastic freightliner
I like 👍 it its come with a epu
So if I’m 5’6” and 250lb how am I supposed to reach the coolant fill
Is very nice and how much is 2010 model
Hey Peterbilt I've never seen a microwave that plugs into a cigarette lighter plug you need to start putting ac plugs back there
Whats the price for this unit?
Kenworth mirror is the same on the T680 Not on the door. I had more than one T680. Do you know what you are talking about?
what i find insane is that truck dont usually have gloveboxes... i mean, yea.. uve got a LOT of space elsewhere but still, idk why... haha
Красавчик👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
🔥
nice !!
Thanks!
I wish they had better lighting in the bunk!!!
Still nice...more room
That is a nice truck, but it kind of blows my mind. It doesn’t have disc brakes in the back or on your tandems… Right now I’m driving a 21 freightliner Cascadia and I have just brakes all the way around… And I don’t like the exhaust system either I like stacks.
There have been glove compartments in Peterbilts for at least 35 years. Where have you been?
I used to drive a volvo. I've also driven a KW and Freightliner but never a Peterbilt, that's why i was surprised to see it i guess.
@@trxexpress KW's have jockey boxes, they've had them for years.
Very similar to an older Cascadia
The only issue i have with my 2024 is the favorite settings on the dash screen never saves.
I wish that manufactures would put in two things. 1. would be a storage area that a driver could lockup things like computers, camera's and other bulky things. 2. I wish that they would make the vents in the back controlled from the drivers seat to open and close.
Beautiful truck. But, with it being that long. Might make it a real headache in some place like Chicago, New York or Boston.
You've got some really good points! Thank you for your input!
So true but all those are areas I don't go in personally but your point is absolutely valid especially when delivering in high traffic times which is almost st 24/7 in those areas
A false floor for lock up?
I run my 389 thru major cities all the time with no problems. If you can't, then perhaps you're in the wrong occupation.
Awesome truck, but the starting of the display takes imho a lot of time.
We had a bunch of them at Yellow, day cabs and I knew of no drivers that liked them in 32 yrs of experience I never felt safe in this tractor,I would not pull a set of empties in the winter with this tractor, had a much better feel of the road with a volvo, just my opinion.
J'ai regardé comme si j'allais m'en acheter un
The one i was driving broke down with only 13k miles due to transmission. Its a brand new 2024 . Sooooo
Two beds, a refrigerator, a dining table and place for a microwave oven.... Make it 5 feet longer and there will be room for the toilet and shower too.... LOL???
Where’s the crapper?
2024 peterbilt 579 a al barsha south drive tour
That mattress being split vertically straight down the middle would be an absolute nightmare to sleep on. I’d like to see them put a non split mattress and find a way to store it effectively without deciding to just cut the mattress in half.
Another Volvo. With a Peterbilt. Sticker
Why not make a seating area with a table and then have a flip down bunk bed?
The truck is pure awesomeness. However, i would be fearful whenever i'm parked because you are more prone to being whacked by another truck since you stick out more due to the extended sleeper. 😮
Oh please. Drivers in the 589 have to worry about that. In this truck you'd have to worry about getting your mirrors knocked off.
Все очень круто и красиво, но лично как по мне, так круче компоновки спальника с двумя сиденьями и столиком как у Вольво, еще никто не придумал / Everything is very cool and beautiful, but personally, for me, no one has yet come up with a cooler layout for a sleeping bag with two seats and a table like a Volvo
When will PACCAR design a decent interior?
i love you tractor trailer truck
I do not drive one
Cb radio
I want to Carrie the frights
I want to make money on the interstate
Give me such a Peterbilt
Where is the gear shift?
What do all you Truckers think of the Auto shifter. Give me feed back on Gear shifting verse Auto. I like my 1971 SeaGrave Fire Engine 🚒 because I can shift. No Allison automatic, like all new Fire equipment has. Plus you can walk through from drivers side to officers bench seat. Grat for when kids get in my cab. All NEW fire equipment has just a seat on both sides with BIG engine cover in middle of cab. 😊
steering wheel holders love them.
It's a huge sleeper, the biggest in class but the thing is it isn't packing an X15 I wouldn't even think about owning one. I heard and seen too much with those paccars
what video are you watching....that is absolutely a x-15
@@timschall8416 I'm aware there's one in this truck I'm saying most new kw and peterbilt come with a paccar
Lies he didn't realize it had the X15 and is trying to back track on his obvious mistake. Just own your mistake Anthony.
@NovejSpeed3 LOL what other engine Is completely red it's like a cat can't mistake it bc of the color yellow
@@anthonyhughes3531 the ISX15...... 😁
Lists for around 225k too without an apu.
Old spin on the older Kenworth Aerodyn....basically
any room for 'chamber pot' a midnight bathroom break?
Kenworth also has a glove box omg. have you ever been in a T680 at all
I've got a jockey box in my 2012 T800.
Same as a 2023. I drive a 2023 mid-roof w/out a top bunk. I see no differences.
Ditto.
Boy, the instrument cluster takes so long to boot up. Automobile industry would never tolerate that.
And where is the bathroom?..
20 years behind European trucks, especially with the passenger side work table
20 years you say. But y’all can’t figure out how to fit in a regular mattress without the drivers seat digging into it taking your leg room.
no one in North America wants anything to do with European junk trucks. you guys try so hard to get over here even buying the truck manufacturers but cant sell a euro truck here.
wind deflectors on the bottom are stupid, they'll crack and come off eventually
You know most of these 579’s aren’t packing that Cummins. They’ll be ruined w/the Paccar
Cuanto cuesta este peter .
👇 On digital dash idc if it's 2038 it's a truck not a luxury car put more emphases on the seat and the driver comfort
Settle down Blues Clues!!
It looks bigger on the outside than the inside
I'm not a 🚛. But wish I was. Truckers deserves the best. They are in it more than being at 🏡. It has to be extremely comfortable for long distance driving. When opening the doors. Will the door damage the mirrors by being opening to wide. The main thing is the 💵💰💵💰💵💰. Truckers wants to own an drive their rig not the 🚛 owning them and forcing them to drive long and late driving just to 💰💵 for a 🚛. Other than that they'll probably keep their old 🚛. Extra money. Truckers want a special color or design. 🚛
Don’t let his camera settings fool you.. it’s really not much difference then your basic peterbuilt
My girlfriend and I are considering going back to team driving. Most of the companies that called us back use Petes and Kenworths. Personally, i don't like either brand. But I think I could live with this, even if there's no lounge.
Как пел советский поэт Владимир Семёнович Высоцкий:
"На нашей пятой швейной фабрике
Такое вряд-ли кто пошьёт..."
😢
The interior is on a par with that of a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia.🙄
15:35
That sleeper is only big enough for one person .
No battery powered HVAC system, this should be mandatory for every manufacturer, instead of idling or use the annoying TRIPAC APU
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I drove a Crackcadia some years ago. The wiring was messed up and killed the lights on the trailer after 40 or so miles.
Those long noses make the trucks longer. When are they gonna build cabovers?
How much does a truck like this cost, roughly? And if anyone wonders: I‘m from Germany 🇩🇪, we sadly don’t have those beautiful US trucks here. Best wishes, Philipp 👋
It all depends on the trim level you get but they can go even up to $200k.
@@trxexpress Thx for the info! 🙏 Tbh: I do find that okay, price wise. Of course, 200K are a lot of money but you also get a lot of truck 🥴😉
To go trucking in a beautiful truck like this across the US and/or Canada: 🤤🤤🤤
Maybe some day… 🥴
It‘s really unfortunate that we here in Germany/Europe can’t buy and drive these trucks, I‘d happily do so 😍🙏
Best wishes from Bavaria/Germany 🇩🇪, Philipp 👋
@5ShotProductions it was my pleasure! It's definitely nice to be able to cruise around with this size trucks. I know EU has a lot more length restrictions and honestly the infrastructure doesn't allow such big trucks either. It's nice to see that these videos have reached the Bavaria parts of Germany. I actually have family that lives in Darmstadt now. Matter of fact, i used to live in Bingen Am Rhein. So I'm happy to see that i have an audience in Germany too 😊
@@trxexpress Oh wow, that’s an interesting coincidence 👍
Of course, our streets and as you rightfully said our complete infrastructure isn’t built for the good old big American trucks like the Kenworth W900 or the Peterbilt 579, and that’s a bit sad cause I really like the looks of those long nose trucks.
But the thing is, even with a normal Ford F150 pickup truck you‘ll get in a huge trouble if you do want to find a parking spot in a typical German city 🥴😉
You used to live in Bingen am Rhein? So: How‘s your German? 😉
I was born in 1978 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, raised up in a very small „wine village“ called Freinsheim and since 2003 I do live in Bavaria, since 2016 in a even smaller town in Mittelfranken, the town‘s name is Thalmässing. Roughly right in the middle between Ingolstadt and Nürnberg.
And Yes, your videos have reached the Bavarian parts of Germany so:
Viele Grüße aus Bayern! 👋
Keep up the good word and if you need help or advice when it comes to „Filming“ and „Editing“, it‘s my job 😉 I do work as a professional camera operator and video editor for 18 years now, so I do know a thing or two when it comes to „Filming“ and „Editing“ 🥴
Have a nice week and we‘ll see us in the next video I guess 👍
Best wishes, Philipp 👋
Is this really a 2024? You are sure it's not a 2004.
