Incredibly inspiring, on every level of body, mind, and spirit. 100 thank yous Amanda for showing yourself with full transparency and vulnerability. This is what courage and conviction looks like. You are a beautiful soul. Thank you Dr. Berry, I always drop everything when you post a video.
@@CarnivorousMe1 💯💯💯 totally agree. This has been a very serious journey for me, and only those like you who have faced saving their life understand, and inspire. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I have watched several of her videos, and I will say her smile definitely says it all. She is glowing with confidence and the knowledge of the fact what she is doing is working. Way to go.
Always a great story! I lost 80lbs due to diabetic digestive complications (no effort on my part) and I couldn't be happier. Now I need to get my thyroid meds figured out and maybe I can keep it off, with low carb.
This is life changing and so relatable, as I sit here 150 pounds to lose and excruciating knee pain. MRI tomorrow. I’m in tears, but because this video has given me HOPE. Autoimmune, LPR, high CAC score, swelling, foot pain, depression, the list goes on. I’m starting this minute. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 🙏
Wow what a fantastic journey you are on Amanda. Such a insperation! Im a swedish man 32 years old and just started my canivore journey four days ago. Im at now 295 pounds. Wish me luck
Time is running so quickly 5 month on keto I just could not get on carnivore too drastic for me but I know it would be probably be better got to plateau on sugar and weight still need to lose at least 15kg reduced medication but still need it journey was not so difficult never could stick to any other diets Keto is already life style not diet
Perhaps after Amanda's journey is complete, she can go back to physical therapy in the capacity of weight counseling. She could definitely help a lot of people one-on-one, in addition to her social media presence. She is truly an inspiration!
Looking around there are hundreds of thousands of potential clients too. Amanda should do a course in counselling while she is on her own weight loss journey. It would help her be more in demand.
We (my husband and i) are starting carnivore tomorrow morning. We have spent the last month researching and preparing. We are so excited! We are documenting all of our weight and measurements and symptoms on video tonight. I'm 5'4" and went from being a very healthy 130lbs to over 200. We have been through some pretty horrific trauma over these past 6 years. This is a huge step in healing. Amanda's story and strength are so inspirational and I'm sobbing but so thankful for people like her and Jordan peterson and Mikaela Peterson telling their stories and motivating people like us. ❤ God bless you guys and thank you so much Dr. Berry for all of your videos and information!!!!!!!! You are pivotal in our start of this journey🥰
@Jen Bob sure! We did extensive research on foods we can eat and what to expect our bodies to do once switching over. We stocked up on meats that we already knew we liked and some cuts we haven't had before also grass fed butter. We bought travel cups for water to keep cold and to add our salt to. (I HAVE to have iced water). We ordered redmonds real salts for travel and for home and a couple different brands of electrolyte powders including redmonds. We completely cleared out our freezers and refrigerator and pantry of any temptations. We only left things the kids would eat and promised ourselves we wouldn't cheat with one of their yummy snacks hahaha So far so good! I'm still drinking coffee but now I have black coffee with butter and it's delicious like a cappuccino! We have been documenting our journey pretty thoroughly and will be posting it to UA-cam probably around our 30 day mark 😀
@Jen Bob oh also we ordered raw Jerky cuts of meat from our trusted local butcher that we will pick up this weekend so we can make our own Jerky in our dehydrator that is sugar free. Much cheaper than buying carnivore treats.
I lost 160lbs already. I’m about 40lbs away from my goal weight and the final stretch is so damn difficult for me 😂 I’m almost there but it’s just hard to stick to my workouts rn. But I’m experiencing the same benefits that she is and it’s awesome. Very inspirational. edit: thanks for the congrats and advice. it's shocking to me that I even got this far. but for those who are curious of my fitness journey, I started at 460lbs early 2020. Like around spring time. My first year I dropped 60lbs just from eating properly and doing low carb low sugar and high protein. I only got my sugar from the fruits I ate (Apples, Oranges, strawberries, and blue berries mostly.) I'd throw them on my Oatmeal. sometimes with natural honey too. Then my second year, I introduced weight lifting into my routine. I just needed some kind of exercise to boost my progress, so I went with that. Also because I HATE cardio lol. That year dropped me down to 305lbs. And recently life got busy and I slacked on my workouts. I still eat right, but that's the issue im dealing with rn. I'm gonna follow some of the tips and tricks you guys gave me. Thank you. p.s. I guess I was wrong on my math. i dropped a little more than I thought. Haven't done the numbers in a while.
I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it a million times happily. Amanda is a rock star, she’s a beam of sunshine, she’s an indomitable spirit warrior! I’m so glad to have Dr Berry, Dr Cywes, Dr Ovadia, Dr Chaffee, Amanda, Kelly H, Kelly from Homesteadhow, Bill from Alaska, and so many others along my journey towards health. It’s wonderful to have a tribe!
Hubby (T1 Diabetic) and I both lost 60+ pounds on Carnivore! We were hugging this morning and both of us could wrap our arms completely around the other with zero belly "in the way"!!! We celebrated and we will NEVER go back!!!!! Celebrating with you!!!!!
WOOT WOOT!! I realized yesterday I can bring my knees to my chest and hug my legs!! Its the small things like that, that make a world of different to us!
I needed this video. I lost 66 lbs on keto then 100 on carnivore then the pandemic hit. My stress eating got out of hand due to having to work more than ever and change shifts daily and weekly. I gained back 40 pounds. Thank you Amanda this really inspired me to get myself back together and back on track. ❤️❤️❤️
Amanda you are so beautiful and amazing. I love your story. I am 70 years old and 15 days on carnivore. I have knee arthritis and pain, so hoping this way of eating will reverse the inflammation. I have noticed cravings for sugar and junk food is gone, so easy to feel satisfied after just eating meat. Dr.Berry thanks so much for your videos....you are saving folks ! I'm from Canada by the way. Thanks again 😊
I’m proud of this woman! I started this journey at a bad place! 60 inch waist, fatty liver, sleep apnea, all of it! I’m 5 months in on keto and I’m 40 lbs down and feel extremely better! I have a long way to go and my knees still hurt like hell but I’m not stopping!
Congratulations!!! I was never up at your weight or waist but I just cant imagine how difficult it is to live in that situation. I'm so glad you found the correct solution!!! Keep up the good work
My highest BMI was "only" 45 but I experienced exactly the same issues with pain, mobility, GERD, sleep apnea and depression, thank you Amanda for describing so accurately what severely obese people go through ! You are such an inspiration.
I've only been on carnivore for 4 days. My kids talked me into it. I've tried so many diets and nothing works long term. I have several conditions but last Nov. I was diagnosed with primary lymphedema. I went home and researched for a week and cried. I've been watching lots of videos trying to learn a lot about this diet. Amanda, thank you so much for doing this because you have given me a shot in the arm. I'm getting so excited to lose weight and feel better. You have such a sweet heart. Thank you again!!!
“No matter how far you’ve fallen, you can get up” Amanda, you’ve got a new subscriber! I’m 64, and a life long emotional binger eater. I lost close to 50 lbs 4 years ago on keto, I felt fantastic but never dealt with the emotional stuff. Fell off the wagon hard, gained all the weight back and fell into self pity. I’m ready for a fresh beginning. You are my inspiration! And Dr. Berry, I “can still fog a mirror with my breath” lol, so I’m going for it! ❤😄
YAYA KIM!! Life throws curveballs at us constantly and its learning to deal with them, still to this day I get knocked down at times but it is the getting back up that truly matters
i can't love this video enough. Amanda's bravery has broken the glass ceiling. She's incredibly generous in trying to help others and get through to them. ❤
@@CarnivorousMe1 you’re absolutely precious! I’m only 30 minutes into watching! I’m in tears…happy tears for you and the many others that are being inspired by you! You’re a lovely soul!!! It’s always been there in you…you’re just letting that shine now because you believe in YOU! God works all things together for good…! Romans 8:28 You rock and you’re helping others to roll on! So rocking and rolling together! 👏🙏🙌🏼🤗
I'm almost where she was, and even though I was on the fence about doing carnivore before this, she has convinced me to take the leap. I'm having so many aches and pains and also have sleep apnea. I'm done with feeling like crap. Thank you Dr. Barry and Amanda!
I love her! She's so inspiring, like Kelly Hogan. I am 13 lbs down on Carnivore and have about 77 lbs to go. Learning all I can along the way from you, Dr. Berry, and your guests :)
This is the third time I’ve watched this and it’s just still totally awesome to hear this interview. When Dr Berry asks, “What inspired you to post these uncomfortable pictures and share your story…” the thought that comes to my mind is “Because Amanda is a total bada$$ out there rocking the world!” :) You are both amazing!
Amanda, as a former physical therapist, has a unique perspective. She is so well spoken and inspiring. I hope she does write a book. It should be an audio book, because she is a very good speaker, as is Dr. B. She is one of the brave carnivores who is showing not just the after but the process of transforming on carnivore, slip ups and all.
I follow Amanda, she inspired me to actually start carnivore. I also appreciate her husband for loving her so much that he was willing to do this with her. He is an excellent example of showing true self-sacrificing love.
Amanda's story is such an inspiration! She has a new lifetime follower. I am 41, overweight with PCOS and have had RA for 10 years. Discovered a lot of my RA symptoms are due to mast cell disorder. Rheumatologist just took me off my biologic only three weeks into low histamine ketovore. I feel better than I have in at least 10 years. I crave movement and getting outside again.
I was 280 lbs when I started carnivore 3 months ago. Every diet I started, I was obsessed with the scales, Loosing, not loosing, stalling. I would get so depressed. With carnivore, I decided to make it a health journey instead of a weight loss journey. I can tell by the way my clothes fit that the weight is coming off but the way my body is feeling is amazing. I am more active, joints not hurting, it’s all about getting my health back.
Love the interaction between you two. Amanda has done so well on this journey. Her skin is amazing. She’s glowing. This is the best interview you’ve ever done, Dr Berry.
Amanda, when you said "A voice came to me and I knew I should share this", I teared up. That was your Wisest Self speaking to you. You are helping so many people this way.
I am almost 53 yrs. old and post menopausal for over 6 years. Im only 4'10" and 190 lbs with a bmi of 39. Nothing ive done has taken off the weight and im ready to just give up and live on the couch. And then comes Amanda! Im not as young as you but im willing to try this. Thank you and thank you to Dr. Berry as well. I feel like maybe there is hope for me too.
Katie, there is NO age limit. I started carnivore only 3 months ago at 70 years young. No longer pre diabetic, blood pressure now normal. No longer on medication. Weight loss down from 88.6 Kgs to 77.2kgs.
I can’t love this enough. Amanda is the reason I started carnivore. She is beyond inspiring and I love her sharing her journey, stumbles & all. I have a perfectionist personality & would have given up with my first off carnivore choice, but Amanda’s encouragement of keep going is what has let me “forgive” myself & keep trying.
Thanks Amanda and Dr. Ken Berry… I too was 346 pound 155kg-lost 72Kg so far in 3 years- still ongoing … just switched from Keto to full Carnivore- Everything you both talked about is so true. I have major improvements in my Osteoarthritis pain… from crutches and Walker to walking freely again.. not so far yet but getting there… my lipoedema is a little bit better since carnivore and that’s only 3 weeks ago. Thanks for all you do on Social Media-- I am in Australia…
At 82 years, 4’11”, 160 pounds. Started carnivore diet 4 days ago. Feel good , although having been a grazer for so many years, it is a big change. Grateful for doctor supported tips to start this journey.
Way to go Amanda! When you drop the weight you want to move more anyway. In my experience, I got to the point that I could t do it without a lot of discomfort. After losing 40-50 pounds I wanted to move, and could move. My discomfort is wayyyy lower! Your story is inspiring and will help others.
Thank you Amanda and Dr. Berry for this interview. Amanda I appreciate your frankness about personal struggles. Too many times people don't share these potentially embarrassing things and it leaves us listeners to think we are unusual or the only one having a certain problem or struggle. Thank you for sharing. Dr. Berry thank you for a great interview and asking the questions not only of her progress but asking her to share how she felt both physically and mentally at different moments. It made Amanda's story that much more relatable. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AMANDA!!
If they were still alive I would share your story with my sisters. Both were morbidly obese and suffered from autoimmune diseases. I am sure that if I had found out about carnivore 20 or more years ago they would still be with us. I can't do anything about them, but I have made changes for myself. Once I have enough improvement I will be sharing with my last remaining sister. Praying she will make the changes as well.
That is amazing to keep pushing forwards not only for yourself but your last sister. It took my mom 8 months of watching my journey to get on, so you keep being that shining light for your sister!!
Amanda's interview was the best one I ever seen on UA-cam. Thank you so much Dr. Berry for sharing Amanda's testimony with your viewers. I was really impacted by her experiences and her journey. It made me cry to hear such similarities of my own life. Thank you so much, I consider myself one of the 10 people and I'm sure many more that she's helped through your interview. She has given new hope to me and to many others through her courage in sharing her journey. Thank you.❤
A year ago this month I was 344lbs and after a hospital visit for neuropathy and cellulitis, am now 264lbs 5' 10" tall doing Ketovore for 9 months. Hazzah!!! Been watching you for all that time thanking you the whole way for giving me mental clarity about physioligy and metebolic health! Thanks for the information on the most misinformed subject in ours & others societies diet and the impact on our metabolism!
You give me hope I am 5' 10" and 69 yrs old. On April 20 ,2023, I went to the doctor and weighed in at 297. I told him I will not be taking medicine for type II diabetes. Today, 5/18/23 down to 284. I started carnivore OMAD 5/21/23. CAN you share more about your journey.
Thanks Amanda and Ken. Am 6 weeks into my 20gm carb or less daily. 66y/o ,5'5", 209 today. Started at 221lb. Unable to walk without crutches because of meniscus Injury to both knees and IT band syndrome. Knowing that it's okay NOT to walk/run is a big relief.
YES, DO NOT push yourself. Do what you can around the house! I have SO many times got in this "I have to learn how to jog/run" in the past and only ever hurt myself and quit because of it. Give yourself grace and know that what we eat has MUCH more of an impact on weight versus "exercise".
Thank you Dr Berry and Amanda! This was an excellent interview. My wife had a Roux N Y gastric bypass 28 years ago, losing 175lbs. She still suffers through Addison's, iron deficiency and a few other results of her former obesity and the bypass. Many of the things you talked about are similar to things she's said to me, so this interview really hit home.
I love hearing these stories. I relate to this one so much! I’m down over 180 pounds. I got 40 more til my goal weight. It’s not easy. But it needed to be done.
I saw her video posted on her site. Very impressive. She has a great personality and is well spoken. I am so proud of her. God bless her journey and keep on doing what works for her.
Your story has validated so many of the things I have felt in my life. Things when I verbalized, others told me I was wrong or just didn’t feel what I was experiencing. You give me hope. My doctors have made the most disparaging comments of all. I am 5 weeks in on ketovore. Dr. Berry’s videos have given me the best help in 30 years of searching for the answers.
Add me to the list of others who feel this is their favorite video. Amanda's intelligence, compassion, honesty & drive are outstanding. Thank you Amanda!
I can so relate! I started carnivore at 336, I am at 230. I can relate to each health issue but was too ashamed to even tell the doctor. Carnivore will be my lifestyle forever
When I was 270 lbs. I was able to walk on the treadmill 30 mins a day at my gym at work. I took it slowly, and worked in the Fat Burn level to keep my heart rate low. This was a gentle intro back into exercise, and it did help with body composition as I began to lose while doing a Whole 30. I didn't start on the resistance machines until I was below 200 lbs. Now, 80 lbs down, having held that off since 2018, I'm able to walk a couple of miles a day, easily. Doing Ketovore now, and am working on getting the last 30 lbs off.
Amanda’s story completely resonated with me. I’m almost 61 years old, and I’ve been “dieting” since I was 13! In February 2019, I finally found the right combination for me to successfully lose 225 lbs, with no surgery, in three years, and I’ve kept it off for over a year since then! Everything I did was in phases, first the diet, then the fasting, finally the exercise. I totally relate to all of the physical problems of obesity, even though I was very lucky not to be diabetic… I had the knee and ankle pain that made it difficult to walk, swelling, and just the overall feeling of ill health brought on by my junky, sugary diet. Amanda, I have no doubt you will succeed and maintain your successful, healthy new lifestyle! You now have a new follower!
I am watching this one year after and reading all the comments as i do with all the videos i watch. It is amazing how many people have been positively affected by these videos. The comments tell everyone what can happen when you fail forward and keep failing until you succeed. The perfectionist midset held me back for so many years and its still a battle i fight every day. Patience really is a virtue.
I like what Amanda said about carnivore giving her the space for self-assessment. I never thought I had depression or anxiety. Looking back, I must have. I've been on carnivore for three months. Part of the change I've experienced is emotional. I recently told a friend that I feel so comfortable. The air around me feels soft and peaceful. Carnivore is some awesome stuff. And bonus!! It's sooo simple. It's the easiest diet I've ever been on.
I follow Amanda on her channel and she has been a wonderful inspiration! I started at about the same time, and have reached a goal of where I feel I need to be, have lost 60 pounds. I weigh 150 and am 60 years old. Meat is where it is at! My husband recently joined me and it makes it so much easier to be on this together!
I will have to find her channel and see what she's eating because this is very inspiring especially to see all of those diseases disappear or be substantially reduced. I have started a similar diet some keto meals and some truly carnivore meals and noticed I have far more energy. I thank Dr. Berry and Amanda to put it succinctly: inflamed body > inflamed brain > depression (or in my case low energy and ambition.) I'm probably starting about 50 lbs lighter than Amanda began but would be thrilled to get where she's at and be able to walk 6 miles again. At 63 I too have the high triglycerides, sleep apnea, and probably a fatty liver. No pain but I walk just like Fred from Sanford and Son. . I actually started a change in diet to encourage my SIL that you can lose weight without surgery but sadly she got the sleeve last week. I will keep Amanda's story in mind for anyone else suffering from various conditions to show there's another way.
What a great interview! As a person who has struggled with emotional eating, this interview has articulated what it feels like to keep taking advice and fail over and over! Thank you for putting this together.
Oh my goodness this video is amazing. I am heading toward 76 yrs of age. I have believed in my heart that this way of eating is the ticket to optimal health but for some reason have never really gotten serious about it. I know where I am going when this journey is over so death and dying are not a concern for me but living with all the illness and pain this old body is in is not fun. I’m only about 20lbs over weight but that is not the issue. Feeling good and being healthy is so that I can serve others by going and doing until the LORD takes me home. This young woman is so very inspiring and I pray for her continued success. Just this video alone will help so many other people. Thank you so very much for sharing this. You are the best Dr Berry. GOD bless you❤❤
There is an extremely large man working at our local Wallyworld. My husband struck up a conversation with him last week and learned he now weighs 365 lbs down 390 lbs from his original weight. That is a driven man! 👏. NEVER GIVE UP! Thanks to wonderful people like Dr. Berry, people are LEARNING, CHANGING and getting HEALTHIER!!! ❤. (I just read something about sugarCANE being more addictive than co-CAINE and I truly wonder!)
AWw That is amazing LJ!! Its hard being on the other side when one has lost (or is losing weight) most other assume you havent done anything about it. That brings tears to my eyes your husband chose to reach out and talk with him, YAYA!!
@@CarnivorousMe1 You are on such a wonderful healing path now! So helpful that you have a loving husband, and now -- an ever growing support network of people who appreciate the journey! ❤
Amen! It's all about what goes in our mouth. Exercise will come. I'm almost 71 and have been following Dr Berry for about 3 years. This is where I learned about Keto, OMAD, and Intermittent Fasting. I personally have never gotten on a scale but have gone from XL 18/20 to M(petite) 8/10. Also recently bought a size S. It's how I eat now, never snack, but I will have birthday cake, if I so choose. Also, I no longer eat my emotions. It's been an amazing journey for me. I do exercise daily. I go out to eat at least 2x a week and make good choices and totally enjoy it. We can do this!!! 🙏 💪👍 Edit: great, interesting and inspirational video. Thank you both.
Great story, good job Dr B and for the woman in the story. USA citizens need to hear this story, please share it so it will get shared over and over again. Thanks.
@@CarnivorousMe1 It is good story for many health reasons, not just obesity. Our food nowadays is void of nutrition, fatigue, anxiety, depression, skin conditions, etc. Stories about the carnivore diet/plan is full of folks telling us that their health issues cleared up with eating mostly grass fed meat. The body can detox if we quit eating all the chemicals in processed food. Dr Bery has a ton of videos of testimonials to prove it. 😁👍🇺🇸🥇☝️🇺🇸
Amanda, you are a rock star! I’ve just started carnivore, and you are such an inspiration. Dr. Berry, the think that struck me throughout this entire interview is the degree of compassion you have for those of us who are overweight. Thank you , thank you, thank you.
Loved your interview with one of my FAVORITE Carnivores!! I went to Amanda's local meatup, and this woman out-hiked ALL of us! She is a wo-man with a plan! Hazaah!!
Amanda is adorable and I'm so happy for the changes she made in her own life. I'm needing to lose 100+ pounds and on carnivore for 5 months and I've gained 5 pounds so far, not lost a bit of weight. Love the diet but getting no results eating beef, tallow, electrolytes and water.
Amanda not only inspires, she is thought provoking. I have heard the term emotional eater before but only associated it with MAJOR stress and junk food, it wasn’t until her video a few weeks ago where she was posing the question of what true hunger cues were that it hit me like a ton of bricks that you can have a problem with eating healthy food as a way to cope with smaller emotional reasons too. She’s got a true understanding and a level of relatableness that most people don’t have. Her videos are going to help ANYONE who finds them, regardless of their weight, deal with whatever demons they are fighting.
I can completely resonate with Amanda’s life journey. I have been dieting since I was 13. I currently weigh close to 350 lbs and feel at a loss for how to tackle losing such a seemingly insurmountable task. I have really struggled with Keto and Paleo type diets, falling off the wagon time and time again. I feel inspired by your story! Thank you😊
I relate to Amanda in a lot of ways. I have a binge disorder which has gotten worse the past couple months. It helps a ton to see how far she has come. It gives me hope. ❤
Hi Dr. BERRYand Amanda!!! Amanda you look beautiful!!! Been following your journey and you are such an inspiration to do many! Love you both soo soo much and thankful for you guys!!❤❤
❤Thank you Dr. KEN and AMANDA! I too, have all those "before" things. I started Carnivore 2 days ago. Down 6lbs. Thank you both for loving us and for being so honest. God be with you ALL!!❤
Have been following Amanda for a few months now. She is a beautiful inspiration. At age 50 weighing 224 lbs I hired a nutrition specialist. She had me do 1200 calories
AMAZING yayaya!!!!! With the fasting, my hair fell out as well its quite a stressful thing to do when not done with large time gaps between! So glad you found the PHD!!
This is one of my favorite interviews, Amanda is so inspiring to me! I'm only 5ft and got to 275 in 2020. That was my highest weight ever and I had so many problems just moving and taking care of myself. I've lost 30 lbs and feel sooooo much better. I'm determined to stick to carnivore/ketovore this time as I feel so much better physically and mentally.
When you interview all the prominent Physicians the impact for change is not as great because we aren't Doctors, We are just people who have been misled by Doctors. Real people with real stories have a much better impact and really elevate the feelings that we can accomplish what we have thought to be impossible and told there is no cure for. I'm well into my journey but have gleaned so much from the real people interviews that have not even crossed my mind while listening to Keto/Carnivore Doctors on UA-cam or otherwise. Love it, and keep em coming Doctor Berry.
Amanda is just what you said, a superstar! I have followed her journey, since she started her channel, and she literally brings tears to my eyes! She's educating herself, she's trying things out, she's honest, she's good with her words. She's such a gem for our community ❤
I’m only day nine on bbbe, suffering from diarrhea today, so staying close to bathroom which gives me time to watch some UA-cam. You have an amazing outlook and are very inspirational Amanda. Thank you for sharing your story.
EVERY time I look at someone obese pure sympathy and sadness resonate through me because I know to my core that there is something hurting deep down inside that caused the obesity.
@@CarnivorousMe1 - Me too! As I listened to your story I thought about all the other morbidly obese people and the things they are struggling with day in and day out. And I also became very mad (again) with our current health and diet policy/guidelines, etc.
I am down 60 total but my sugar is out of control. Just started eating lower carb trying to work my way down. No grains at all though I am a sucker for potato ships and I cheat now and again. I am nearing a position where i might be able to exercise the way I used to. Coming out of my depression was the single cause of this all imo. I broke my ankle years ago lost my job and had a mental break because of it. Went into heavy depression gained 160+ pounds and several illness including type 2 diabetes. I quit a 38 year smoking habit 3 months ago, I was 430 pounds and weighed in this week at 370. My first milestone was to stay under 400. My second milestone was 375 and third 350 after that i'd truly be happy to get back to 240 which was where i felt best in my life. Good luck and god bless you all, make small achievable goals and if you fall off the wagon just get back on don't let it derail you because you will fall of that wagon 40 or 50 times easily...
I'm so glad you mentioned The Biggest Losers. I hope people will think about the connection between that and this; between the "not the healthiest and dangerous exercise" weight loss vs "healthy and safe" weight loss.
Im not quite as overweight but everything else is almost spot on that Amanda describes. I started "Carnivore" 5 days ago. I'm 75-80% pain free!!! I have a long list of medical serious conditions. I love the idea that we all have the power to change someone's life for better. No one can save everyone but we can all save someone. ❤❤❤
Amanda is so adorable! She is my motivation to want to start doing UA-cam videos more regularly and to do keto or carnivore videos to tell my story as I go and help myself and maybe even someone else along the way!! 😊
Thank you so much to the both of you for this extraordinary conversation! Amanda’s story is very similar to mine. It is very generous of Amanda to share her story here and on her channel. It’s a blessing to hear the highs and the lows of someone’s life story. It’s so motivational and inspiring to know I am not alone in this journey. Thanks again to both of you for all you do to bring facts and inspiration to us! Love from Vermont
Thankfully, I didn’t, but it was my grandmother‘s love language to me. I was taken away from an abusive mother who is mentally ill. I was very undernourished actually malnourished. And my grandmother bribed me with sweets. It was the only thing she knew how to do to get me to eat. I have struggled all of my life, trying to learn how to feed myself. I am still at work in progress. I am new to carnivore, but the one thing I can say is that I totally relate to you. And I have slipped twice but got right back on the very next meal. I appreciate, you being honest and taking the shame out of it. Because I’ve been riddled with shame around food all of my life. Somehow, with the grace of God, I taught my children how to eat by letting them know when they were full on their own. Thankfully, they are adults. Who know how to eatI so appreciate all the help that I’ve received from all the wonderful information that I am getting listening and absorbing. Thank you so much.
WOW JUST WOW! Such a brave story and right on time. I only need to drop 30lbs and I’m on day 2 of getting the junk out. Your story is what I have felt the last year with pre& menopause and it sneaked up on me before I knew what was happening. Such a reminder for me how food can control us in so many ways. Your transparency is an honor to have heard. I know that you will help many more people on your journey!
Incredibly inspiring, on every level of body, mind, and spirit.
100 thank yous Amanda for showing yourself with full transparency and vulnerability. This is what courage and conviction looks like.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 🙏
You are definitely not alone. You got this! ❤️
Good for you. You can do it. A little at a time and have patience with your self!

Change your choices going forward. I like that.
Looking around there are hundreds of thousands of potential clients too. Amanda should do a course in counselling while she is on her own weight loss journey. It would help her be more in demand.
Suicide often is not wanting to die but just wanting the pain to stop. Glad you got thru it and have begun to be such an inspiration to so many.
I always say "I'm not suicidal but I wish I were dead". I would not kill myself but want to die most days at 350 lbs (and was 395 awhile ago).

As far as "preparing" can you give a few things you have done to prepare?
@Jen Bob sure! We did extensive research on foods we can eat and what to expect our bodies to do once switching over. We stocked up on meats that we already knew we liked and some cuts we haven't had before also grass fed butter. We bought travel cups for water to keep cold and to add our salt to. (I HAVE to have iced water). We ordered redmonds real salts for travel and for home and a couple different brands of electrolyte powders including redmonds. We completely cleared out our freezers and refrigerator and pantry of any temptations. We only left things the kids would eat and promised ourselves we wouldn't cheat with one of their yummy snacks hahaha
So far so good! I'm still drinking coffee but now I have black coffee with butter and it's delicious like a cappuccino! We have been documenting our journey pretty thoroughly and will be posting it to UA-cam probably around our 30 day mark 😀
@@realtalkwithrebecca8526 THANK YOU
so...just meat and eggs/butter?
@@jbob1548 yes. We are not doing it with dairy. I'm trying a brown butter recipe tomorrow. The molds are coming today. Wish me luck 😉
Congrats! That’s awesome!
Amazing! Keep it coming 😊
Huzzah!
You can make it! I am amazed at what you have already accomplished. You are an inspiration.
CONGRATULATIONS! Never stop working to get healthier!!!!
A great continuing success story. I lost 70 pounds over 14 years ago and have kept off 60 of them.
You lost it by eating carnivore ?
Congrats...please how much meat is allowed per day ? 2 Times or three Times eating a day?
Is a bit veggie allowed?
I needed this video. I lost 66 lbs on keto then 100 on carnivore then the pandemic hit. My stress eating got out of hand due to having to work more than ever and change shifts daily and weekly. I gained back 40 pounds. Thank you Amanda this really inspired me to get myself back together and back on track. ❤️❤️❤️
Love Amanda. I'm so grateful she found her way to health.
Aww TY Marney!!

😭🤗
Thanks for having Amanda on. She’s very articulate and real. Such an inspiration.

Yayay Rachel!
Love the interaction between you two. Amanda has done so well on this journey. Her skin is amazing. She’s glowing. This is the best interview you’ve ever done, Dr Berry.

AWw TY Kaza!
Are you willing to share what diet or plan you followed? Thanks!
Go AMANDA!!! GO AMANDA!!! GO AMANDA!!! She’s so inspiring! I wanna see more of Amanda and her amazing story!!! 😍😍🙌🏽
Lori I am STILL so overjoyed your husband finally decided to join in with you!!
@@CarnivorousMe1 me too!!! (:
Spot on! Amanda is very wise.
Alight now I'm sitting here tearing up ready to cry Lea!!

Thank you😊
So fantastic Amanda. So proud and happy for you to have found a winning way to health!
Me too!!! and my most amazing husband as well! (also cant forget the doggos!!)
AWWW THANK YOU JEANNIE!!! You have been SUCH a HUGE supporter along this journey with me!!
Extremely well said! Its hard to trust one doctor over another once we have been mislead so many times. Real people real stories are SO important!
That's why I fired the entire medical system 35 years ago😅
@@Billybritt-s4t I wish I had your wisdom 35 years ago.
@@Charlie12874 well we live and learn from our mistakes...good day sir
Amanda is just what you said, a superstar! I have followed her journey, since she started her channel, and she literally brings tears to my eyes! She's educating herself, she's trying things out, she's honest, she's good with her words. She's such a gem for our community ❤
We Need More of Amanda’s Out There to Share Their Testimony of what the PHD Will Do 🥩 Thank You Miss Amanda and Doc Berry for Sharing This Video ❤️
Thanks Lee!!
I’m only day nine on bbbe, suffering from diarrhea today, so staying close to bathroom which gives me time to watch some UA-cam. You have an amazing outlook and are very inspirational Amanda. Thank you for sharing your story.
So terrible to hear about the terrors Amanda went through, but so lifting and glorious to hear about the accomplishments she has made so far!
Brilliant interview guys, and well done Amanda on your carnivore successes!
Amanda you look so pretty, you are radiating!!! Im so proud of you! Your journey is helping so many folks. Continued success!!❤
Aww TY Sherry!
YES! Its crazy to see how many of the contestants end up move overweight/sicker post show!
I’ve been following Amanda since the beginning 😊 Her journey has been amazing! I feel like she is going to inspire millions! ❤
The big Pharma boys won't be happy
Im not quite as overweight but everything else is almost spot on that Amanda describes. I started "Carnivore" 5 days ago. I'm 75-80% pain free!!! I have a long list of medical serious conditions.
I love the idea that we all have the power to change someone's life for better. No one can save everyone but we can all save someone. ❤❤❤
Woot Woot Day 5!!! If we all just give a hand up to those around us, the world would be very different place
@@CarnivorousMe1 so very true indeed
Thank you Amanda for the courage to put yourself out there to help others. You are a champion👏👏👏👏
Amanda is so adorable! She is my motivation to want to start doing UA-cam videos more regularly and to do keto or carnivore videos to tell my story as I go and help myself and maybe even someone else along the way!! 😊
AWw YAYA Kimberly!!!
Thank you Amanda from a grunt truck driver from uk. Wow. Insperanational. Thank you.
Aww Thank you Rebekah!! No matter where you start, you CAN do this!! Every step even if tiny adds up into a HUGE mountain over time
Thankfully, I didn’t, but it was my grandmother‘s love language to me.
TY Whitney! YAYA to Day 2 !!!
So motivating….thank you Amanda you will never know the impact you have made in my journey. Nothing else has moved me like this has.❤❤❤
