Considering the encounters your character would've gone up against at this point in the story, these are some really delusional demons. "What will you do without your army" isn't something that makes sense to say to a character who rushed the abyss with only six people and won.

Well, you were kind of under the protection of the ruler of that part of the Abyss.
If anything than beating up Baphomet should be terrifying, but again: they likely linked that to Nocticual - who overall is know for just such things, what includes that Baphomet was there in the first place (sure, not because of Nocticula or you, but kind of stupid betrayel of his own daughter, but what demon should even know this?)
I love that Iomedae treats you as a well-meaning child if you go Azata. "aww you are such a good kid but this is grown-up stuff!"

Well, she does talk down to you if you're an Angel, too.
She asks you where you think you are leading your people with beautiful promises of freedom. I would respectfully ask what her followers have accomplished in four crusades with their mindless discipline and order. The Knight Commander is producing real results. Iomedae is letting her hatred of Areelu Vorlesh override her good sense. Even one of her own paladins disagrees with her judgment.

It's overall more the "Bard" setting. Azata got a lot of empowering stuff and the whole "we fight for freedom as an union" thing going on.
So it's less about what you summon, then being that beacon of freedom, waving the standarte and everyone follows you.
Power of friendship in anime is just bullshit, especially because friendship is nothing special for good and against evil. Actually evil people tend to do even more for their friends, than good people, because good people have to care for more than just their friends. Only caring for for your friends is actually more an evil (=egoistic) than a good trait.

In this case, wouldn't "Power of Friendship" be more like neutral aligned?
I mean, neutral alignment is always about being selfish.
Meanwhile, evil people can be caring to their people but not always.

LOL He tried but failed. Yeah Seelah disagreeing with Iomedae is pretty awesome.
When I declined a romance with him on the "not date", the roses disappeared.

CG is the complete opposite of LE, so...
He is mainly fine with still delivering results, but the methods are clearly the complete opposite of what he favours.

I know if you choose Gold Dragon there is a friendly good bye between the two of you as she goes back to Elysium. Not sure if it is the same for Legend.
I know it's 4 months late, but in case someone will be wondering this later: She shrinks down to her original size, says that she understands that this probably the right choice but it still makes her sad and when she is sad she is silent, then when you complete legend quest she leaves you as a companion, but later returns as a council memeber
Sanctimonious goddess, I rolled my eyes when she said her route took longer with years of training. Pushing that her way is more justified. False divinity. The KC has already proven to themselves against the seduction of the power. I would love to see another storyline a la Gorr the god butcherer.

Azata's are celestial creatures from Elysium.
The only take away I get from this game with Iomedae is she's as worthless as Galfrey just wow these useless diversity hires. Maybe that's why Paladins of Iomedae aren't very lawful like Deity like Heralds.
It’s crazy how much disdain I had for iomedae herself when I met her, yet her Herald was and continues to be my favorite character
