Pathfinder: WOTR is an isometric single-player role-playing story game currently in development by Russian studio Owlcat Games and published by Deep Silver, based on Paizo Publishing's Pathfinder franchise. Announced through a Kickstarter campaign in February 2020, the game will be released for PC, Microsoft Windows, and macOS on September 4, 2021. A console version for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X Gameplay, PS5, PS5 Gameplay, Playstation 5, Playstation 5 Gameplay, will be released at a later date. The game is a sequel to Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

In WOTR the realm of Sarkoris was destroyed when Areelu Vorlesh opened a rift to the abyssal planes of existence, and hordes of demons invaded the world of Golarion. Led by the evil Demon Lords Deskari, Baphomet, and Nocticula, the abyssal forces crushed all who stood against them, turning Sarkoris into a demon‑infested land now known as the Worldwound. Join the Crusade against the demonic invasion and rise as a new hero wielding unimaginable powers in this classic CRPG. The fate of this world lies in your hands.
Pathfinder has dozens of classes and subclasses with thousands of abilities, feats, spells, talents, and buffs to choose from. The spell listing allows you to choose from Evocation (Damage Dealing), Enchantment (Crowd Control), Necromancy (Undead), Abjuration (Buffs), Illusion (Crowd Control), Divination (Buffs/Disruptor), and Conjuration (Summoning). This is combined with an insane amount of class/subclass options including Alchemist, Arcanist, Barbarian, Bard, Bloodrager, Cavalier, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Hunter, Inquisitor, Kineticist, Magus, Monk, Oracle, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Sorcerer, Warpriest, Witch, and Wizard! It is Owlcat's goal to give each of these classes at least 5 subclasses each!
Choose your Mythic Path and embody an Angel, Demon, merciless Lich, wily Trickster, superhero Azata, law incarnate Aeon, truly evil Swarm, merciful Gold Dragon, or forgo all of them to stand alone as a Legend. Each path will allow you to improve your hero in unique ways, adding a new layer to character development and making your hero and their allies a true match for their powerful enemies.
There are more than a dozen potential party members in the game including Camellia (Half-Elf/Spirit Hunter), Seelah (Human/Paladin), Lann (Mongrel/Zen Archer), Ember (Elf/Stigmatized Witch), Arueshalae (Succubus/Espionage Expert), Woljif (Tiefling/Eldritch Scoundrel), Daeran (Aasimar/Oracle), Sosiel (Human/Cleric), Regil (Gnome/Hellknight), Wenduag (Mongrel/Fighter), Nenio (Kitsune/Scroll Savant), Greybor (Dwarf/Slayer). All of these companions have their own backgrounds, alignments, and motivations. All of them are fully voice acted with unique character models. There are even more followers that are locked behind specific story/mythic quest options!

What I've been waiting for: the redemption arc! Lich into Dragon seems like an awesome concept, especially with your added roleplay to it.

Lich into Dragon, super interesting choice. Never considered playing a redemption arc in Act V. Dig it.

During my old AD&D days, my very first character I rolled up was a paladin. Now looking at Iomedae and Nocticula, think I will prefer hanging out with Nocticula lol...

nocticula tries to manipulate you at every step mate. She says she won't mindcontrol you.....yet she tries it twice....and so on.
@@mihai000000 lol shes more fun though, with the correct incentive and approach (get that little gal to preach to her lol)she changed for the better. Theres no changing the elitist arrogance of iomedae.
@@adrianleong8537 How is she elitist , lol ? She literally tells you that your power is dangerous , and volatile , and that it was used to manipulate you into closing the world wound even if it takes your life , and those are factual.
If you are on an evil path....even more so , since she is proven right. A lot of people don't actually try to look at things from her perspective at all , and just fall for extra loot and tits. Iomedae can't intervene even if she wants to ..... because a god smiting a demon lord will start an apocalyptic war between planes , with golarion stuck in the middle. You dont even realize the scale of such a war.
As for you....the PC , you're literally a child with a nuke in her eyes. Yes you might use that power to become a force of good , but you might also use it to become worse then deskari.
Considering that , would you let a kid have the nuke ? 50-50% are nice odds for you ?
And even tho you can become evil , she still does nothing to stop you (unless you're a swarm that walks i guess ). Just voices her opinion , and lets you make your own choice.
Nocticula in comparison tries to manipulate you , and when you defy her , she literally tries to impose her will on you. Yes , she is the fun "aunt". She's cooler , and sexier , and gives you cool toys , trying to buy your affection....because it benefits her , and not because she cares about you at all.
Iomedae is the stern aunt , who you kinda dislike because she's no fun whatsoever , but deep down , you know she means well , even if she is a bit pompous. But yea....she is literally the goddess of paladins. wtf do you expect ? hookers and parties ?

I'm going through a lich playthrough myself atm and my character has kind of organically been going through a redemption arc in act 4. I was thinking about going into legend in act 5, but this might make more sense
(Really trying to figure out if the gold dragon is cool, or if it's just samori's voice acting that makes it seem like the coolest path in game)

It's all funny how some of them says that your mythic powers aren't useful when without it, you would have been killed by Minagho at very beginning and other severals powerfuls demons and would have never gone so far in the worldwound. Do Iomedae attend to give you some of her powers? no because without it, i don't see how a simple mortal will succeed.
Nope as a Legend you really have to make it without powers. It gives you some really interesting unique dialogue with Areelu.

Honestly... I do not know how I feel about this. I mean imagine it from the point of Nocticula who is actually ancient. A twenysomething mortal who was grafted with a droplet of blood from a demon lord took the path of a gold dragon. And he acts as if he was actually thousands years old to a relatively new goddess who is still among the youngest ones of her kind with her 900-ish years. I mean... "Thanks for the advise but look at me and you shall see I dont need any" is stomach churningly pompous... If the MC was a REAL gold dragon I believe it would be a fair exchange as Iomedae can actually be a "youngster" to the oldest of these wyrms... but... you are not.. you may have the power of a dragon but you don't have its memories and "the wisdom of millenia" you have the wisdom of .. like.. 20 years... :D and you chide a centuries old goddess who submits to your wisdom - while being watched by the first succubbus who is like...older than the continents... it's ridiculous... everyone is so utterly - disgustingly pompous in the scene :D

You misunderstood what the mythic power are. You don't just get a droplet of demon blood, Arelu basically cheated the system by giving you what can be described as "DM for a day" power. With these mythic powers you can become the embodiment of what you choose to be, you twist fate itself to alter the reality and make yourself what you want like you want to be.
You can see that clearly in the trickster path, being unhinged you aren't bound to what you think you can or cannot do al literally cheat with the rules, or in the aeon path, where you've always been the aeon, and you basically created yourself, but in the other paths too you can CHOOSE what you are.
It's not just you becoming a dragon, you change the rules to make true that you are a dragon, always been.

Okay, what is the actual lifespan of dragons? the game says that dragons can live up to a millennia but you're talking as if they are immortals like the elves.
Gold dragon only makes sense if you're demon or lich first. Redemption isnt redemption if you never did anything that needs to be redeemed.
I'm currently playing a cross blooded sorcerer. Which is an slow developing class but after level 7 becomes uber strong. The way I'm playing him is an star eyed hero like Lann but was born to rich parents and has an naive approach to life but without Lanns survival ism. Garidan is shocked by the realities of life and is constantly confronted by life beyond the comforts of his lavish life. But clings to his idealism. The way the story constantly shocks him into the reality of the world he really lives in alters his perspective of life but he still clings to his naive aspect on life but he struggles, increasingly struggles to rationalize his beliefs with the reality of the world he lives in. Then Garidan learns to stop doubting himself and trust in in beliefs. And when he does that he stops being the guy thrust into destiny and starts to truly become the commander!!!
Oh FYI if you are an Cross blooded Sorcerer you get to choose a 3RD!!! Bloodline! Other than kineticist is the most overpowered class.
Yeah I am strongly considering Crossblooded Sorceror for my Azata playthrough.
@@SlanderedGaming I'm playing an Arcanist with a Dip in Sorceror for Elemental Blood Fire and Brass Dragon and just got red throught Mythic Path and with favoured metamagic bolster my fireballs and Chain Lightnings are crazy powerful, I'm also Azata so they need to roll twice for saves is extra fun

this is very cool but..how did you get that green skulls aura on your lich ? like did i miss something on the Lich mythic path or is it a Mod ? also damn you have some voice range very cool
Thank you! The spell Negative Eruption puts a buff on undead party members that is visually represented by the green skulls.

I find the Gold Dragon stuff absolutely ridiculous, from start to ending "solution". I wonder if the developers also intended it that way 😄
Okay... I admit; I laughed at Daerun... BUT from everything he says. Literally every word - he is a dead man. "I shall remember this moment for the rest of my life..." = which will be about all of two seconds, as soon as Iomedick gets done with the K(F)C. [He went from a lich to a gold dragon; so at least now he's got some meat on dem bones ; ) ]
* Kidding aside: That speech on first getting the option of Gold Dragon is exactly the right argument for why this particular redemption is so immersively powerful. Veneration of death as the ultimate answer to life, Vs. the realization that it's NOT that we're going to die eventually, but what we DO with that life while we have it, that truly matters.
* Tristan: My Brother is wise - No he's not. (Attribute Spread Notwithstanding about it) He damned near destroyed himself chasing you, when you've pushed him away at every turn for the few times I've seen you in these videos. He doesn't even recognize KC - who may be romanced in this run? - turned to Gold Dragon. He's lucky you just went Good Neutral, or he'd be the one over dragon's breath who ends up in someone's extra crispy dinner bucket lol.
