Legitimately so glad they didn’t just turn Dracula into his usual giant demon form and instead put a creative spin on the big ghost head form from the original, definitely the most unique take on Dracula’s 2nd phase in the franchise
His Usual Giant Demon form only appeared in like 3 games (4 if you count Symphony of the Night or the Rondo of Blood Remake in) In other games he usually takes other different forms
@@doomer3468 And the trick is to focus on death. Both share a health bar but Death has lower defense so it makes more sense hitting and using Grand Cross for Example to hit both Death and Dracula when they are directly above each other
As much as I really enjoyed Haunted Castle Reimagined, it just made me want The Castlevania Adventure Rebirth. That game was exclusive to the now defunct WiiWare store, and was really good.
You know, I had no idea with Frankenstein's monster that the skeleton was moving and throwing the switch. I was so focused on Frankie that I didn't notice it. Great little detail in the fight.
@@FouseJ Imma be real here, more game companies should try this move, Grab one of the worst game of their franchise and turn it good . My personal suggestions would be Castlevania 64 , Megaman DOS , and Zelda's CD-I games .
@@nx2917 Castlevania 64? Nah, see if they can somehow fix Order of Shadows. Now that would be quite the challenge. The 64 Castlevanias at least have SOME defenders - nobody even wants to remember Order of Shadows exists.
I’m not even gonna lie, this might be one of the best Castlevania games ever. it’s basically like the original but without any of the BS difficulty. The soundtrack makes me wanna cry tears of joy, the medusa heads are gone, and the flea men are 10 times less annoying than they are in other games. What more could you want?
@moreheyfrankevans6085 That's correct. He is also exclusive to Reinhardt's campaign in both 64 and LoD, so you wouldn't see him as Cornell, Carrie, or Henry. However, he still exists in the game, so no issues there. If you wanna be SUPER technical, the Lords of Shadow version of Death (Zobek) is only a boss in LoS2 and has no appearances in MoF, but he does appear as a character in LoS1. He also has a notable absence in the Netflix series until the final season, but that version of him isn't Dracula's underling (Netflix took a TON of creative liberties).
I wonder if this'll actually convince Konami to make a brand new castlevania from the ground up? This is certainly the most out of nowhere pick for a bonus game. Maybe they're testing the waters to see if people are actually interest in a new entry?
I'm actually somewhat positive it'll happen since they don't really add new games to these collections. It's usually just the oddball picks that wouldn't fit anywhere else. So hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

completely agree, was super surprised when I saw the four dracula heads lol
In portrait of ruin death and dracula team up as the final boss it was kinda silly but its the most unique dracula fight in my opinion

Definitely a big fan. Bit short, but as an add-on to an already good collection, couldn't ask for anything more

Good graphics, music and fun gameplay but way too easy. Even on Hard was fast to beat. But i guess since it's just a side game included it's fine
