Wonderful game. The amount of bosses is supreme, even though some of them are repeated, but anyway it is surprising. It seems this third part is a vindication from the part II with only 3 bosses.
I love the attention to detail with The Creature's animations, punching the background walls and pillars if he can reach one and stomping the ground if he can't. (It's most noticeable with his latter fight in Block 6)
I wonder if Medusa was originally meant to be the boss of stage 3? Sypha is found turned to stone, and it seems strange that Medusa would be a mere sub-boss when Cyclops Appears at 4 different locations... Not to mention one of those four fights occurs on the very next level, the very level where Medusa is a sub boss.
Very good theory !!! It would have made more sense in this scene rather than the same cyclops that appears frequently. To top it off in the western versions he changed her name to Snake Man Sentinel, so that she would not appear as if she was bare-chested. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Note: Grant makes the second phase of Dracula easy. Have him equipped with the Axe subweapon as well as a Triple Shot rune for such and plenty of hearts. Use those repeatedly on Drac (jumping if you have to) and he should mop up that phase in seconds.
Also, Trevor with Holy Water (and a Triple Shot) can also easily defeat the Doppelgänger. Just spam said subweapon and that boss will be toast in no time. ;)
The composers of the music for this and the other Castlevania games did incredible and memorable work. It's strange that we don't have more games to continue listening to these songs. 😍😍😍
Yeah, those doppelgangers are a bummer. It cost me a huge job to find a strategy on how to beat Alucar's without taking damage and in the end, with a lot of luck, I got it. 😉😉😉
The truth is that I don't really like using the Holy Water in Castlevania games, I prefer the Ax or the Cross. If you use the combo of the three Holy Waters the video would become boring. 😁
Yeah I just beat the doppelgänger boss with Trevor if I get to it and Alucard is my partner. If you pick up the cross right before and know how to fight it like you showed it’s easy.
I didn't really like that the secondary characters separated when you found another one. It was better to be able to select them. The only good thing is that the routes are different for each one. 😖😖😖

Best solution for the Doppelgänger? Spam triple shot holy water with Trevor. That will stun-lock it and make it take tons of damage. 😉
Get to it with holy water, there’s a vile in the green stairwell section. You can use grant or alucard to easily access it.

That’s how I always beat Dracula but you have to have mastered the stage to get to him with the cross, one death and you have to beat him without it.
