Very useful tips🥕My favourite ones are easy peeling garlic using microwave. ( I love garlic but don't love the smell on my hands) 🥕Also the air fryer clean up using baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, water.
Your kitchen hacks are absolutely brilliant! You've turned simple tricks into game changers for anyone who loves to cook. I’m amazed at how creative and practical your solutions are. Keep up the great work!
They also work well just as the dried skins put into boiling water then let cool. Water your plants with this antiseptic water orchids especially. Or when sick, cut an onion in half and put it on a plate on your bedside table to absorb germs. Works great!
Hello! First time watching one of your content, and I love it. Wonderful how one can find all kinds of tips and tricks with various items. To top it off, it's like making new friends all around the world. I do have an additional suggestion for what to do with onion skins. which I've used over and over again. Turns out onion skins are a powerful inflammation fighter! That's right. What you do is store the outer layers of the onion skins (the dryer the better) in a jar, no cover though because that will promote mold. Anyway, I crush /chop the skins once they've dried and put them in a loose leaf teabag. Make yourself an onion skin tea! I can see your faces now, eeewwweee I'm not drinking that stuff ! I like to add a bit of honey and a few squeezes of lemon. Turns out the taste is not to bad at all. The best part? How good you feel after you've had a cup or two. I have some extremely sensitive skin and my face burns and itches on a regular basis. I have nerve & muscle swelling, hurting all the time. I've used the tea for many physical situations. And, two weeks ago I decided to try the tea for a sinus flair up that had been going on for weeks, with terrible headaches. I was totally amazed at the results! My head, jaw, cheeks and eyes were so relieved, absolutely incredible. I know this post is a bit long, but my hope someone out there who has been suffering from one thing or another try this tea, I bet you will be passing on the onion tea solution to all your friends. And by all means, feel free to talk to your doctor first, or whatever medical professional you see and talk with them about the onion skin tea. Thanks for listening, and be blessed with good health!!!
5:26 this works for fruit and veg as well. Just change the paper when it feels a bit damp (don’t throw away let it dry and use for wiping up). Stuff keeps much much longer.
I love garlic in recipes, but I hate all the work required to end up with minced garlic. I wouldn't have believed your two methods for peeling and mincing garlic if I had not seen them. And I am definitely going to try the easy skins method for creating a garnish for potatoes. I'm glad this somehow got recommended to me. Happy New Year!
Yeah, I don't bother with many single-purpose kitchen items, but a garlic press is worth it. I personally recommend the pampered chef one, its design is the overall best I've encountered. With that one, I don't even need to get the annoying skin off (it doesn't get pressed through with the garlic due to some form of physics magic, yay) and it comes with tools for easy cleaning. Always rinse & get garlic bits out of the press before they can dry on, but even with that step it turns the entire task into a super simple and quick one
Another useful hack, I take all my vegetable peels like potato skin, garlic skin, carrot ends, onion skins, cilantro ends and everything else vegetable and I store it in the freezer. When I need vegetable broth I boil the veggy scraps until aromatic flavors are filling the kitchen, add some salt and bam you have flavorful broth!! Strain out the broth.
When you have enough for broth, prepare your broth, pour into muffin cups or ice trays, freeze and then put into a glass container labeled as to contents and store in freezer. That way it is ready when you need it.
More incredible tips. I' going to do three of them today! I have a good salami chips recipe you might want to try. Thinly slice8 ounces of salami. Preheat oven to 375 f, line two 15" x 10" x 1" baking pans with parchment paper and set 2 oven racks at the center-most positions. Lay the salami slices out in a single layer in the baking pans and bake for 7 - 12 minutes [depending on thickness] until they are evenly browned and rigid. Transfer to paper towels to drain and cool -- the salami will crisp further as it cools. Arrange the salami chips in a bowl or on a plate and serve with a mustard dip made with equal parts of sour cream, mayonnaise and Dijon mustard; I made it with 1/4 cup of each.
Not seen the seasoning hack with the onion and garlic skins before, we will give it a try. Normally we save the skins and add them to stocks for flavour and the onion skins for a natural amber colour. Thanks for the video. take care, God bless one and all.
Just use Dawn spray on an air fryer. It literally melts debris off. And use a damp cloth with Dawn on it. Won’t waste parchment on pans. Cooking potatoes in plastic isn’t good. Lots of chemicals. You can get the same steaming effect by putting them in a covered glass bowl.
