    My Uncle, Ernest John Pullen, was killed on the Somme in 1916 he was 21.

    Along with the 'Shrouds of the Somme' and Peter Jackson's 'They Shall Not Grow Old' I found this one of the most moving features of the 14-18 Now Programme.

      My great great great uncle died only miles from the Somme in the department of Nord

    Honor them always !!! they gave their lives for you. Bless them all.
    They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them. The Ode comes from For the Fallen, a poem by English poet and writer Laurence Binyon.

    As of now 2-3 times more British died on the first day of the battle of the Somme than there are views on this video.
