Along with the 'Shrouds of the Somme' and Peter Jackson's 'They Shall Not Grow Old' I found this one of the most moving features of the 14-18 Now Programme.
Honor them always !!! they gave their lives for you. Bless them all. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them. The Ode comes from For the Fallen, a poem by English poet and writer Laurence Binyon.

A very moving and creative gesture.
Thanks for covering our performance, Brenda

What a beautifull gesture. Do they do this every year
As of now 2-3 times more British died on the first day of the battle of the Somme than there are views on this video.
I wonder how Germany and France commemorated the battle, if they did at all.
Makes me cry every time. Look up from your phones, privileged and igorant Youth..
Mehitabel I used my phone to look this up
Mehitabel you’re the ignorant one assuming none of us care
Tom Pope many don’t
The 'privileged and ignorant youth" are the ones who took part in this art project to begin with.
This battle alone should get more recognition then pride month

@@Blankoschaeck ... their own kind of freedom. Very bold of you to assume that they'd approve of what has happened to the modern world.
They waisted their lives for nothing....in both sides
