Would love to see what would happen if the Minutemen Militia merged with the Followers of the Apocalypse. I wouldn't say they have the same ideals, but both factions are trying to help the Commonwealth/Mojave.
I absolutely adore the Followers and have been waiting for an episode about them. Thanks for the high quality episodes you put out on such interesting factions! Your videos honestly make up like 75% of my fallout playlist, it's almost bizarre how much lore you've covered
I as well, if we do end up one day having a full world of Fallout released, allowing us to visit all the places in one go, I'd think it should be set at least a decade after Fallout 4. It'd be amazing to see the Followers working hand in hand with the Minutemen, as their altruistic nature, and "One for All" behavior is very similar, it wouldn't be hard seeing the Minutemen giving protection to the Followers, and the Followers giving aid along with the Minutemen.
Lorekeeper Ronan If they could ever reach each other that is. I'm absolutely salivating at the idea of the MWBoS and the Enclave being in the same city (Chicago). Basis for a kick-ass fallout game if I've ever seen one.
Could be possible, if we assume that the Sole Survivor brings back the Minutemen in to their full glory, and they begin expanding outward, offering a place where people could live in peace like they used to. The Followers hearing word about their goal, they set an expeditionary team to make contact.
That's what i loved about the Followers, their strength is their flaw (They are idealistic to a fault, The White Wash being the prime example) whereas the other factions are more "they are (Pros) but they are also (Cons)"
@@krashface4870 The followers' flaw is the same as their strength, their Idealism drives them to help others but they also harm others due to it. as in the quest "The White Wash" where a follower murders a innocent man so the town can keep stealing water. meanwhile factions tend to have disconnected flaws and strengths, so they are this good thing but also this unrelated bad thing.
@@nonamegiven202 aaah, thought you were speaking of something like "there are not enough black men/women" stuff with White Wash. Fair enough, I agree with you, while the idea behind their actions is noble and pure, the means that they have to choose for maintain said ideal are at times questionable and fallacious. They want to help people by been noble doctors and saviors while at times involving saboutage, stealing and, as you said, murder. Caesar draws some of this with him too: he sees his cause as noble and right, while knowing well that the means to his voctory and realization of his goal are ferocious and brutal, but cover this in knowledge of the old world and flood the mind of those who question him with philosophy. The Followers are nothing better than a bunch of educated rascals, but at least, passed their many flaws and limitations, are willing to land a hand
@@nonamegiven202 No the other factions have mirrored flaws and strengths as well. The Authoritarianism that House would employ is what would allow for the technological development he wants. The replication of Old World governments in the NCR leads to the same problems of corruption and business over people. The Legion are fascists, pretty self explanatory.
Asclepius was actually only a demi-god son of Apollo who is a god of healing among other things. Asclepius was still taught healing by the hero training centaur Chiron. The staff that is on the coats shoulder is actually a caduceus staff which Asclepius carries. However there are 2 types of caduceus staffs there is the one with one snake coiled around it which is the healing staff. But the one more commonly seen is the one associated with hospitals with the 2 snakes which is a really bad symbol for hospitals because that is what Hermes carries. And one of Hermes main jobs was Hermes psychopompos which means he guided the souls of the dead to their resting place in the underworld.
Great. I am still trying to play my latest runthrough in such a way as to trigger Arcade Gannons side quest. It's actually pretty hard to do unless you are paying attention to where you are in the games plot. Great stuff as usual. Roll on the next Fallout game. Oh and also a guide on the pros and cons of the various weapon upgrades and ammunition types in New Vegas might be a good addition to your library of vids, and congrats on reaching 700k viewers as well.
Getting the trust points with Arcade is easy, and you only need two. You also have to do The House Always Wins, V; Wild Card: Change in Management; or For the Republic, Part 2 to unlock the quest: fallout.wikia.com/wiki/For_Auld_Lang_Syne
The first time ever heard the name, followers of the apocalypse I thought they were crazy psychos like the children of Adam Turns out they’re one of the best, if not most under powered faction in the entire fallout universe
I kinda want a fallout game made by obsidian that either lets us go somewhere new or have us go back to past areas like in fallout 1-2 to see how much its changed. I'd like to see what LA looks like 200 years since the bombs fell i could see old locals plus new ones. I wouldn't mind a mee location like maybe Miami, new Orleans, Houston, or maybe san Antonio
The Gunrunners are stationed there (they're the people north of Adytum that Nicole referred to), as well as a gang war between the Blades and the Regulators. By the time of Fallout 2, this entire area is said to be absorbed into the NCR, so I imagine it would be almost unrecogniseable by the era of New Vegas. But it sounds like it's a much better place to live at that point. Perhaps they brought the printing press back as well? They have an entire library of books to preserve.
6:00 There's my boy! I can't wait to see Oxhorn's bio of him! If I were making the title, I would call it, "Arcade Gannon: The Realist Idealist". (Yeah, I know. Please don't throw tomatoes at me.)

That's what I subscribed to this channel for. I do watch some of the Fallout 3 and 4 videos now and then and really did enjoy the Mothership Zeta series, though. If I ever get FO3, then I already know where the loot and enemies are aboard the UFO. Wish we had something like that for New Vegas. Sure, there's Old World Blues, but that wasn't aboard an alien spaceship and didn't have aliens in it. Now, I can't wait til Oxhorn covers the NCR, Yes Man, and Legion paths. Also, the aliens in FO3 and New Vegas (after the Wild Wasteland trait) were suspiciously humanoid somehow just like in almost every sci-fi story ever. If we really did find any civilized aliens, they won't look a fucking thing like us for the same reason that they won't speak English. For all we know, they might not even have the same chemical basis as us. Earth life is carbon-based and depends on liquid water to survive. Whatever aliens we find might be based on boron, silicon, maybe metal oxides. Different planets, different host stars, different planetary masses, different gravity levels, different environments, different selective pressures.

I love the Followers of the Apocalypse. In a world where violence reigns and kill or be killed often is the way to go, the Followers favor saving lives, spreading education, as well as hope, it's such a lovely and much needed contrast. And you know I've always saw the Followers and the Brotherhood being allies(not sure if they are), the Followers offering the aid and education to the wasteland and the Brotherhood offering to a reasonable extent their knowledge on technology. In a way I kinda saw Lyon's Brotherhood as a militarized version of the Followers of the Apocalypse, mostly in how they supported the idea of fixing the Water Purifier, something the Followers would most certainly agree with. It most certainly wouldn't be an easy alliance given the BOS's tendency to care more about themselves and technology, however get the right Elders in place, make some much needed convincing and boom!
Started playing fallout new vegas for the first time about a month ago and i just randomly stumbled across this channel. Great to see that people are still making videos about such an old game. It really shows that you put a lot of time and research into these videos. Keep up the good work man!
If the followers of the apocalypse and the minutemen came together they would be a great faction to join helping people bring people into a peaceful society
Dude these videos are too good, So stoked to hear you're going to be doing some fallout 1 videos, i only started playing fallout 3. It would be super cool to see a full playthrough of the OG fallout games.
Oh hey... So isn't there a quest to convince Jack and Diane over in the Great Khans to start selling medical supplies... I wonder if you can get the Followers a deal with them?
This is quite funny. This video was published one day before the release of my funeral doom metal album entitled "Followers of the Apocalypse" (fully inspired from the fallout series of course). Going to share this video lots of time. Great work Oxhorn, thank you.
If you want to get ultimate health regen then get the health regeneration implant than get the rad child perk than get critical radiation sickness than get the scorched Sierra power armor from lonesome road this give's a slight bonus to health regeneration if you combine all of this you can out heal most damage rates and basicly become immortal except when fighting deathclaws
Was a brilliant touch to have Caesar hail from the Followers. Aside from the logic of it, it's a reminder to the player that knowledge can run toward any destination.
Thank you for this video Ox. I'm running a d20 Fallout game and I'm having a group for Followers make an appearance. This really helped me flesh out their ideals and goals.
You didnt mention the fun glitch with the fridges! Either when dr luria has just left or when shes there after you've saved and then reloaded (experiment around with this until it works), the fridges will restock every time you open them until you leave the building and come back. Every single time. You'll get random food like iguana and squirrel bits, soups, things on sticks, cooked meats, pre-war food, soda, produce like apples and jalapenos, and occasionally alcohol, even the ever rare Atomic Cocktail. It can also happen multiple times! You can cheese this for infinite food/healing, some quests and challenges, and a LOT of caps. Its a great lil cheaty cheat for survival players who dont wanna fuss with collecting food *all the damn time*.
Hey Oxhorn, since you've now done a video on the Followers of the Apocalypse, you should do a video on Arcade Gannon either sometime, or tomorrow. Also, the FOTA, thats what I say for short like the BOS or NCR, are one of the best factions in the Fallout universe, and they would possibly work well together with the Commonwealth Minutemen and the Railroad.
If only The Followers of the Apocalypse had been able to influence the approach of The Institute. With their collective combined intelligence, the technology of The Institute, and the morality of The Followers, they'd be unstoppable. That is the civilization I would like to see rise out from the atomic ashes.
Wow! I thought I had done all I could with the followers, and was a little disappointed that there was nothing further to do with them. I had no idea that you could join them through donations. One more reason to go back to New Vegas, I suppose. Thanks Oxhorn!
I've never shot to attention so fast in my life until I heard you say you had a series coming up on Fallout 1. Ooooh, I'm already exited for the first episode. :) I know nothing about the first two games, but I've always been interested in knowing more about the beginnings of Fallout.
I am so happy for more Fallout 1 lore. Oxhorn, I know you get a lot of comments but I’m curious, do you think you’ll ever do a video about the various raider gangs that eventually appeared in NV as well? I’m very interested in a video about the Khans in Fallout 1 and their relationship to the Great Khans in NV.
Just a small correction, a castle is a fortified residence , if it has walls it would be the “keep” so the tents inside wouldn’t be very defendable. For more information you can check out shadiversity’s video on what makes a castle.
Been watching you for about 2 weeks straight for back ground when I play fallout and when I’m at work makes the time go by faster and now I subscribed. And I love how you do every dialogue option for example I thot I knew all most everything about fallout3 but I dident know you got a perk for stoping the waste land survival guide
At this point you've made so many videos that every couple references is "You can check it out in this video" xDD Not complaining, I love your videos! It's just amazing how in depth you've gone in on each part of these games :)
Small note, but the Monocyte Breeder would dramatically reduce maximum lifespan by the way it's described. Age is literally the result of imperfect Cell Division (the genetic code becomes corrupted, kind of like when you photocopy a photocopy, thus start missing pieces), and stimulating it would take a lot years off you, especially if it was implanted at a young age and it was used often for major injuries from say a Deathclaw.

Lmaooo
The what now ?
Askin as an outsider of english-speaking countries
@@krashface4870
The followers' flaw is the same as their strength, their Idealism drives them to help others but they also harm others due to it. as in the quest "The White Wash" where a follower murders a innocent man so the town can keep stealing water.
meanwhile factions tend to have disconnected flaws and strengths, so they are this good thing but also this unrelated bad thing.
Arcades side quest is definitely my favorite companion side quest
James Horsey Walsh just wait before the battle of Hoover fam
Getting the trust points with Arcade is easy, and you only need two. You also have to do The House Always Wins, V; Wild Card: Change in Management; or For the Republic, Part 2 to unlock the quest:

Combined with all the implants from OWB, and the turbo implant perk, you can turn yourself into a damn cyborg. Which I usually do, honestly.

This adds to my head cannon that "The Courier" is a synth. Lol.
"Ill do a story on Arcade Gannon in his own dedicated video, which is *coming soon*"
Well I'm for one on pins and needles. Im excited
You probably know this, but just in case, he did the video.
The first time ever heard the name, followers of the apocalypse
I thought they were crazy psychos like the children of Adam
Turns out they’re one of the best, if not most under powered faction in the entire fallout universe
Oxhorn finds spilled water glass.
"Truly a tragedy and a reminder the evils humans are capable of"
I kinda want a fallout game made by obsidian that either lets us go somewhere new or have us go back to past areas like in fallout 1-2 to see how much its changed. I'd like to see what LA looks like 200 years since the bombs fell i could see old locals plus new ones. I wouldn't mind a mee location like maybe Miami, new Orleans, Houston, or maybe san Antonio
New reno Chicago texas are my choices
I really want to see Florida mainly because of the gator claws and or Seattle
Or downeast maine
John Doe that is the commonwealth thpugh...
My favorite faction in the entire series, so underrated. Love to see more of them in future titles
Oh, there is that good stuff...
*Revels in lore*
Cass looking at you like, "What!? You said you wanted to kill em"
Great video Oxhorn! I didn’t know that you could join the Followers but in my next play through I definitely will. Thank you Oxhorn and congratulations on 700k subscribers! Keep up the great work.
I too didn't know that you can join the Followers either.
I hope the Vegas Ending where the Followers of Apocalypse and the Great Khan join forces to build a flourishing empire has canon truth to it. A peaceful and educated community with strong guardian warriors sounds like an awesome place.
Nice to be on New Vegas again
Still waiting for the "Why X is a bad choice" vids on the NCR, Yes Man and the Legion, corresponding to the Mr. House one.
If I remember right with the water pipe in Freesideafter you purchase a drink hold down the action button for as long as you like taking a longer drink and the king thug won't turn hostile just don't try again without paying first
Or you can wait until your Freeside rep is high enough and they let you drink for free.
Nicholas Cross Just be a King. Life is better as a King.
It's not too often to see a humanitarian group in the wasteland so the followers are interesting
Their one of the few groups that are trying to make a difference and help people
I love it when I learn something I didn't know about New Vegas. I had no idea you could become a member of the Followers, that's amazing.
Congratulations on 700K subscribers! I hope you reach 1M soon and earn your Gold Play Button. I can't think of a channel that deserves it more. Once you receive it please make sure to unbox it on video so all your fans can enjoy it too.
All the progress he made in the last 2 years ☺️
Oxhorn, you should do your "Funniest Fallout moments" where you show us the moments that made you laugh the most (voicelines, written scenes, trigger events etc...) And add some backstory to them. :)
Edit: Oh, and congrats on your over 700k subs :)
Ox needs to play Fallout 2 before he makes such a list. FO2 is the funniest game in the series, hands down.
+Thagomizer I'm pretty sure Ox said once before that his computer cannot run Fallout 2, sadly.
Then he should put off the creation of a "Funniest Fallout moments" list before he finds a way to get Fallout 2 to run, obviously.
Ahh good ol Fallout 1....
i just bought one of your shirts and i can’t wait for it to come in.
thank you so much for all the work you do and the amazing videos you put out.
i appreciate & love you and your channel! please keep up the great work 💖

"Factions that need help" brings back memories
I love these guys and I always try to help them.
Curie would love these guys.
Almost to a million keep up the awesome work oxhorn.
I love that little reaction you had to Cass dropping Dixon before you even got a shot in.
700k congrats brother love you 🖤🖤💗
Oml i got noticed I'm crying😍
My favorite faction 🎉 can't wait for Arcade's video. His sass is my life ❤️
The followers are the best. Anti establishment, for the people. I love these guys.

Are you going to cover the Enclave Remnant when you do Arcade Gannon’s story?
Yep
+Oxhorn Awesome! I'm so pumped for it. I love your videos, they're absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much for making them.
Doctors with mohawks.
I like it that you can become a member instead of becoming the leader like in Skyrim
Started playing fallout new vegas for the first time about a month ago and i just randomly stumbled across this channel. Great to see that people are still making videos about such an old game. It really shows that you put a lot of time and research into these videos. Keep up the good work man!
If the followers of the apocalypse and the minutemen came together they would be a great faction to join helping people bring people into a peaceful society
responders too if we really consider 76 as canon
I wonder what the name would be if that would happen?
The best fallout channel on UA-cam
I never knew about joining the Followers or the safe house in New Vegas. The game is so deep.
Dude these videos are too good, So stoked to hear you're going to be doing some fallout 1 videos, i only started playing fallout 3. It would be super cool to see a full playthrough of the OG fallout games.
My favourite faction :) Thanks Ox for covering the outfit details, I'll be cosplaying them later in the year and needed a close up!
The followers are my favorite faction. Joining their ranks as the courier is always nice.
Oh hey... So isn't there a quest to convince Jack and Diane over in the Great Khans to start selling medical supplies... I wonder if you can get the Followers a deal with them?
You know usually I’m angry when I see ads on a video but not with oxhorn because I like to make sure your making money that sweet sweet ad money
This is quite funny. This video was published one day before the release of my funeral doom metal album entitled "Followers of the Apocalypse" (fully inspired from the fallout series of course). Going to share this video lots of time. Great work Oxhorn, thank you.
Ox, I love your content and can't wait for your white glove society video.
Coming soon! Ish!
Oxhorn Take as much time as you need.

I wish after this one we follow the story of Arcade Gannon.
I am working on his video now. However I need to get through many quests at McCarran before I can tell his story. Stay tuned!
41:30 "I'll just mark it mark it on your map" hmm slight error there Obsidian
mariofan101 should've learned from Preston.
Congrats on the 700K man, you deserve each subscriber and more. Keep up the great work ;)
The implant system is amazing. This game has so many ways to build your character I love it
If you want to get ultimate health regen then get the health regeneration implant than get the rad child perk than get critical radiation sickness than get the scorched Sierra power armor from lonesome road this give's a slight bonus to health regeneration if you combine all of this you can out heal most damage rates and basicly become immortal except when fighting deathclaws
Congrats for the deserved 700K🎉🎉 now the mil😉
your reaction times are already so fast its a wonder you cant catch bullets. yes i can catch bullets but most of the time its with my head or chest.
Was a brilliant touch to have Caesar hail from the Followers. Aside from the logic of it, it's a reminder to the player that knowledge can run toward any destination.
By far, my favorite faction in all Fallout Universe.
Thank you for this video Ox. I'm running a d20 Fallout game and I'm having a group for Followers make an appearance. This really helped me flesh out their ideals and goals.
49:39 I've got Preston Garvey flashbacks.
Best portrayal of Anarchists in a video game so far!
Realists.
Those outro animations are pretty darn cool! Also love how theres an Ace of Spades there.
Almost 48 minutes of content? Bless your socks, Ox!
Dixon: "Ooo, I always enjoy a good scrap!"
Cass: "Kowabunga it is!" 🤠
There's nothing more punk rock than helping your fellow man
Hey oxhorn, I really do love the references to fallout 1 and 2. Those are the games I never did get to play.
You're a really good storyteller and lore teller. I am glad to be a subscriber of you
You can use the Black Widow Perk on Dixon, but I don't. It's just too gross.
why use dialogue when you can use the big iron on your hip?
@@ceasefire2825 Hecc Yes!
IMO, I think Ox is a better Fallout Lore narrator than Shoddy Cast.
Well done for 700k subs . makes my day these videos random but your voice makes it more interering and mysterious
Can't wait for you video on Arcade Gannon. I never used him in my play through but that that he was a interesting character in the game though.
That is the civilization I would like to see rise out from the atomic ashes.
imagine minutemen as enclave
I really do love the Followers as a faction. They are so good and pure
My favourite Fallout faction. I loved the video, as always...good job, Ox!
Congrats on 700k!!! I’m happy to see your channel growing, you deserve it!
At this point you've made so many videos that every couple references is "You can check it out in this video" xDD
Not complaining, I love your videos!
Thanks Ox I don't think I've ever known about joining the followers.
Ox you help me get through my 9 to 5 job. I listen to you while working all day. You da man!
It's been too long for Mr.Oxhorn has uploaded New Vegas, it's good to see it back
