I have a very, very severe S curve that goes in the same directions as your curve and tried these stretches tonight in search of pain relief. I heard the loudest popping noise in my spine that I have ever heard in my life and now my back feels much looser and I am in so much less pain. Thank you so much. I didn't know this level of pain relief was even possible for me any more.
I just found your account and I just wanted to say you're doing amazing work. I have always been active but have been dealing with scoliosis for six years now. Thank you for creating a safe and active space for everyone

Hi, for dextroscoliosis, please confirm if I follow the side that you are demonstrating in the video (if I see you lean to YOUR right, I am actually leaning to MY left). I know this video was posted a while ago, but I would so appreciate your answer. Thanks!
@@vickymaster if you have left throcic right lumbar you must do opposite what she did, you stretch the throcic muscles, on the right side cause it's concave side and the muscles are near each other, and do stretch for the left side of the lumbar curve for the same reason, and you can follow many of Christian videos and anderstand what I say, I hope this helps 😊

Hello! My curve is the opposite to yours, but I feel a bit confused as the physiotherapist I saw told me to only stretch my right side, as that’s where I get a lot of compression and muscle tightness from the lumber curve, whereas yours (when I reverse your advice to suit my curve!) seems to say the opposite. I felt a little palmed off my the physio I saw - it was in my GP surgery, and just a quick one-off appointment. Now I’m a bit worried I’m doing the wrong thing!
It really depends on where your main curve is! Mine is a left lumbar curve, the thoracic is only a compensation for me. Very often people get the tightness on the convex side but that doesn't mean you should stretch it! Better to release it and stretch+strengthen the concave side.
Hello I just saw your post ! I was wondering how your daughter is doing, as she must be 13 now🤩 My daughter is 11 and I am craving some feedback for the progression of the S curve scoliose ??? I would be very thankful to have a couple of sentences 😍 Thanks and God bless !!
if i do these exercises will it get rid of it it’s o lay like 10 degrees and 12% what’s most notis me is my tube cage is rotating so my right rib cage ribs are more out then my left ribs
hello, thx for your best videos,i have scoliosis opposite of yours s curve ,i want to know if i do my exercises that my Physiotherapist teached me and those of yours regularly ,how long it takes to vanish curve? note that i have 10 degree scoliosis
hamed if it’s functional scoliosis it might not take long. Structural scoliosis however is difficult to reverse! I would focus on staying strong and healthy 😊 your curve might or might not reduce but the most important thing is how you feel in your body. Yoga can certainly help with that 😊
Mikhail Zaid functional is if the muscles are simply imbalanced and are pulling the spine into a scoliosis. This can be from a leg length difference or from overuse of on side. Structural is if the bones are actually affected and you can see a structural scoliosis in the Adams Forward Bend Test. There will be a rotation and the ribcage might protruding on one side.
Mikhail Zaid i would say it depends! Your age, your curve, if there are other conditions etc. The younger you are the higher the chances. You can certainly prevent it from getting worse.
Which is better if I doing these stretches first then I do my exercises ( cat cow, side plank, opposite leg and arm extension....) or I doing my exercises first?
Lamya Naem why don’t you try both and then see what makes you feel better! I would do the strengthening on days that you don’t have back pain. Some days you might only feel like stretching, other days you might feel really energetic and ready for strengthening!
I can help you put a programme together that will be tailored to your scoliosis curve! This can help your posture, appearance and help you move and feel better in your body. It might or might not improve what you can see on an x-ray... Feel free to send me an email at info@yogaberry.net
You can reduce your curves and you can certainly make sure that they don't get worse. It depends on a lot of factors though (for example age, dedication etc)

is there any way to get rid of scoliosis permanent

Spinal fusion
Do we have to do this excercise one time a day or two?
That depends on the individual, age and curve pattern!

Hello... My left side hip is curvy 😢 please reply me😢
So sorry to hear that. A shifted hip is very common with lumbar scoliosis.
Is it true that people with scoliosis surgery can’t bend forward or back?😢
That depends on the type of surgery and the location of the rods!

absolutely not. I'm a yoga teacher.

Don't forget that scoliosis is 3 dimensional, not 2D. The rotational component is equally as important as the sidebending :)
absolutely! Trying to keep it simple in this video
