Hey Mr Kiddo, I love your style of silent & peaceful presentation compared to terrible background scores. I also liked the 'tring' sound effect while you highlighted feat that you liked 😊 nice touch there! I had seen this couple of months back, but came back here again after watching your Z900RS review. CB1100-RS has made permanent place in my heart 😇 and your review of it, was like cherry on top kind of feeling, for my love for this masterpiece. I'm from Mumbai, INDIA 🇮🇳 & we don't have this model available here! 😞 Thank you for this, keep doing great work, maintain your style of reviews!
Namaste! 😊 Thank you very much for your kind words, I'm glad you enjoy my videos! I also have special feelings for the CB1100RS. In a few weeks, I will make a comparison video of the CB1100RS and the Z900RS. Some people look at factsheets and think the Z900RS is better. But in my opinion, many things actually make the CB1100 really special (liquid-cooled engine, dual exhaust, Honda's built quality and attention to details, etc.). This is really of piece of art ❤️
MrKiddo, नमस्कार 🙏 😊 haha CB1100-RS is a masterpiece indeed. I believe, it isn't made, it's rather crafted with passion. Performance & elegance put together in a simplest manner possible. 💝CB1100RS FOREVER💝 Have subscribed, so looking forward for another CB1100RS video from you. Take care, Ride safe.
Obrigado! Glad you've enjoyed this video 😊 Absolutely, this is a motorcycle for life: well-built, reliable and very enjoyable to ride. As I like to say, Ducatis are beautiful mistresses, Hondas are perfect wives 😉
Great review, I have just bought the exact same bike, waiting for a call from the dealer to pick it up. You need to see this bike in the metal to really appreciate the quality of the build and finish. The bike is a stunner.
In America they were available in 2014 only in all black, of which I have one. Even the engine cases and cam covers were black. 2014 was the first year of the 6 speed transmission. Importation was halted in 2015-2017 but some red and silver ones came in in 2018. Sadly production has ended due to emission standards incapable of being met for an air-cooled engine. Perfect bike
Dear Mr Kiddo, thank you for your honest words. You are right. Your work on youtube is very important. If i choose my First bike with my 46 years i will inform you. Keep on Riding and thx a lot for beautiful pictures from your lovely city!👌🏍
I have this bike. (2016 CB1100EX in black with the seams on the tank, wire spoke wheels, all grey engine, and that little grey cover that you have…mine is in black! Noice!)….I also have a GSXS750 2021 with an M4 Exhaust that is loud. The CB1100 is the first bike I have had where the exhausts don’t need to be changed, they are in keeping with the style of the bike and sound perfect!
That's such a beautiful machine..a perfect marriage of retro design and modern technicalities...and of course that grunty exhaust note...good to see that it comes with a centre stand as stock....hope it makes way to India...
That's a great bike indeed! I've just checked the website of Honda Motorcycle India. It's crazy to see how much their product range is different from the one offered in Europe! I had never heard about the Unicorn, the Shine, the Navi... 😵
Yes, the air cooled engine is a masterpiece, not only it sounds and looks beautiful, it's also nicely torquey... ❤️ I had more fun riding the CB1100 than many more powerful bikes!
Nice video and very!!! very!!! nice bike!!! A few years ago I saw a moto magazine with an article about new cb1100 and I fall in love with cb1100. And after a few month riding Ducati s2r1000 I recognized that the only bike I need to use for every day happy riding its a Honda!!!
Finally someone understands this bike! It's one of the most true to its roots authentic retro bikes out there, especially the styling on the EX. I only wish they made a 550cc version or in that smaller size range. It's still a tough pick over the T100/T120 Bonneville but the Honda is more special I think because of how Honda designed and produced it.
Glad you've enjoyed my review 😊 Yes, I think the CB1100 is underrated as it's really a fantastic bike. It has something special I didn't feel on any other bike I have ridden
This bike has real presence. I lusted after this at the time I was buying my XSR900 from the Honda dealership (second-hand), however I felt the engine was a tad too big for me, and the price was a bit too north. Beautiful machine. Good review.
I love the sound effect you inserted when introducing Showa shocks, air cool engine and radial brake caliper, it makes me smile. :) PS. I am expecting my red CB1100RS to arrive soon! :D
Thanks Vitaly! Yes, that was a nice day for a test ride :)

Chouette moto !
I love how it looks so unassuming, simple, classic, and just plain NICE looking. If it had more power[perhaps swapped for a 3 cylinder], was given a belt drive, a tail tidy/fender eliminator, bar end mirrors, perhaps straight or straighter bars that are a bit narrower, a bikini faring, and aftermarket exhaust, it'd be perfect. Of course, aside from the motor change and belt drive, you can pretty much do all of that already. Lol.
No!!! It wouldn't be a genuine Honda CB if it had a 3-cylinder engine and a belt drive... 😉 You should really test ride it, you would see that its inline-4 is amazingly torquey, feeling more powerful than what the factsheet says. Without hesitation, I enjoyed it MUCH more than the 3-cylinder bikes I have ridden (Yamaha FZ09 and Triumph Street Triple RS).
MrKiddo Okay, it can keep the 4 banger for all I care if its torquey, but I mainly wanted the triple for the sound and to narrow the bike up some. I want the belt drive because zero maintenance. I couldn't imagine servicing a chain every 500 miles at all. I don't want to and I'd be far more likely to just say fuck it and forget it. 500 miles could be easily be 2 weeks or possibly even 1 if I end up enjoying riding as much as I think I will.
Great work with your reviews, minimalist yet very informative. Between this CB1100 and the kawasaki z900 (modern inline 4) which one did you enjoy more and would recommend for everyday use (city and highway commute and occasionally long trips). I'm guessing this comparison will pop up once the upcoming z900RS is released.. Thanks..
Cheers, glad you enjoy my reviews! 😊 The CB1100 and the Z900 are two awesome bikes, and both are great for an everyday use. I personally prefer the Honda, as it fits more with my relaxed riding style and my tastes. Sportier riders would certainly prefer the Kawasaki, as it feels lighter and sharper. I really look forward to test ride the Z900RS, the first pictures are promising 😍
"first impression : pretty heavy" ... it's lighter than my 650cc.... not, my bike is not a train, no no ! :D I love the look of that bike ! Must be frustrating to have such a wonderful piece of machinery for a test ride and being stuck in the city :( peace ! V
Haha! 😄 That's the bike life in Paris, my friend... I have to ride many miles in order to leave the city, and there aren't many curvy roads around 😔 Ride safe ✌🏻
Boxster Spyder spotted at 1:35. Those are very, very rare cars... Nice review, the sound has a rumble to it, but also has that high cc sounds at the top. As for the looks, it's cool and oldschool but that back end seems too big. I'm thinking about a cafe racer style, with a simple back, not a huge plate holder...
Well spotted! You know cars better than me... I noticed it will editing, and I was wondering why the soft top looked different from the other Boxsters.
MrKiddo I'm a Porsche nut so no surprises there 😉 have only seen a few. They are the soft top equivalent of the Cayman GT4, only less hyped and smaller production runs (I think). Very little people know what they are which is quite cool imo.
I can hardly say, I'm myself 5 foot 8 and it's perfect for me. I think it could be okay for you as well because it isn't a small bike. But the best thing is to see it by yourself at your local Honda dealership ;)
I have a 2014 standard model and am 6'-1" and 220 lbs. I feel a little big on the bike. I feel my other bike fits me better, a FJR1300. I still love riding my CB1100. It's retro cool, smooth, bullet-proof, and feels lighter than its stated weight.
Dear Mr Kiddo, thank you for your Great vids! I Love the way you make the Videos! My questions is, do you think that the Honda CB1100RS Could be a beginner bike for an middleager? I like the style of the bike, i don't Need a sportier one, i also like the EX Version But for me is the RS the modern bike! A Lot of magazines and youtube vids spoke of an not easy handling in curvy roads. They meant that the thicker Front wheel is the problem. Did you mentioned with your experience anything about this? Thank you! Best regards Peter from germany (Rheinmünster)
Hallo und danke schön Peter! Any bike could be a beginner bike if the rider is wise and cautious... 😊 Cornering won't be a problem actually. Indeed the front wheel is thicker than the one of the EX version, so the bike feels very stable, and you will need to push harder on the handlebars to make it turn. Actually, I think it could help you to become quickly a better rider, as you will get used to corner with the right technique. However this is not the most suitable bike for beginners for 2 reasons. First, it's a heavy bike. As soon as you ride it, you don't feel it anymore. But you will need to be very careful when handling it at very low speed (i.e moving and walking the bike without power, for example when parking it). Secondly, the engine is pretty powerful and very torquey, much more than usual beginner bikes (CB500 or CB650, MT-07, F800, Z650, etc.). So you will need to go easy on the throttle, and progressively get use to the power. Impossible to do for an immature young rider, but middle-aged riders are supposed to be smarter... 😉 If you can deal with those issues, it could be a beginner bike. In any case, getting a lighter and less powerful bike (like the CB650 for example), acquiring some experience with it, and trading it after 1 or 2 years for a CB1100 won't cost much, and would be an easier solution.
That was a good review my friend but i am not to sure about the twin exhaust on each side. Maybe it's just me but that's the only part I don't like. Hope you have a great day Mr. Kiddo :)
Thank you John! The 2013 CB1100 had a single exhaust, it already looked great in my opinion. But I remember that many motorcycle journalists blamed Honda for that, telling that the legendary Honda CB750 Four had 4 mufflers. And when the twin exhaust was introduced in 2014, some of them kept saying that it still needed 2 more mufflers 😉
Wow that's very interesting to know 4 mufflers no way! lol Is it possible you can do a review on the Honda Rebel? I really love the looks on that bike and I hear the performance is great.
It depends on what demo bikes are available at my dealership. Currently they haven't the Rebel. I will visit it again next month for the annual service of the CB650F, so I will check again what demo bikes they have :)
MrKiddo what a Beautiful Bike but that taillight is sticking out way to much. It would be a deal breaker on sight. do you think the joy of driving it will make up for it? best regards, ride safe
@Roland Roovers: I can't say, as it's up to you. I personally like this LED taillight because it reminds the one of the legendary Honda CB750 Four (goo.gl/LvTG8d). Ride safe too :)
It was too comfortable and easy to ride. Riding a sport bike (like the GSX-R: ua-cam.com/video/X0ycVPv2tnI/v-deo.html) in Paris would be more efficient for body building :)
How would you compare CB 1100RS with suzuki bandit. I am owner of 1200 k6, previously 600 year 2004. I like classy look, its almost miracle that something like this is on the market, I though suzuki ended classic nake bike range by killing air cool engine and replacing it with so called improvement or modernisation. Nowadays some bikes getting look like from some star wars or so. Thank you for respond Radek, Reading
I can't say as I have never tried the Bandit. But the specs seem pretty similar. I agree with you and I like those classic-style bikes. At that time, there were the Bandit 1200, the XJR1300, the CB1300... Then, manufacturers launched manga-style modern bikes. I'm glad the classic-style is now becoming trendy again, with this CB1100RS and also the Kawasaki Z900RS 😍
One thing I can say, is your style of driving splitting lanes squeeze in between two cars. You’re looking for an accident waiting to happen it’s just way too dangerous type of driving. Maybe I’m more of a conservative than you are. It’s a matter of time driving in that manner that you’re going to have an accident. I guess I believe in safety first and that’s why after driving for. 45 years. I’m able to stay out of accidents.
The 2010 had quite a bit of vibration over 3200 rpms. How is the vibration on this one as the rpms rise over that point? It was not good on the freeway.
I truly understand your feeling. I sometimes visit the Japanese website of Honda ( www.honda.co.jp/motor-lineup/ ), and see all the models which are not marketed in France and feels a bit disappointed...
MDR !!
Man I love the fact that it has that old school growl to it!
Yes, it sounds like a good old carbed engine :)
Hey Mr Kiddo, I love your style of silent & peaceful presentation compared to terrible background scores. I also liked the 'tring' sound effect while you highlighted feat that you liked 😊 nice touch there!

Huh, no wonder my two dream bikes are this and a Ducati Monster S4RS Testrasetta...
Great review, I have just bought the exact same bike, waiting for a call from the dealer to pick it up. You need to see this bike in the metal to really appreciate the quality of the build and finish. The bike is a stunner.

Keep doing the great reviews, top job!

At 0:44 I was so confused about the sound :D
I would have been so upset if this 1100cc bike sounded like a 2-stroke 50cc scooter :D
Haha.. also that guy seemed to rev the scooter in sync with MrKiddo's revving lol :D
awesome demo, thanks for that. and the ride thru Paris. love that bike, the sound, the gauges, love the whole package.
Cheers, glad you've enjoyed this video. And the CB1100 is a fantastic bike indeed :)

MrKiddo haha...yeah it's poles apart.. however there's Honda and other superbikes available too.. officially
Nice bike . Liked the air cooled feature - old school charm.
Yes, the air cooled engine is a masterpiece, not only it sounds and looks beautiful, it's also nicely torquey... ❤️ I had more fun riding the CB1100 than many more powerful bikes!

Combination of CB and Paris. It’s fantastic.

Nice. Lovely ride around Paris too - with all the conditions catered for ;-)
Thanks Vitaly! Yes, that was a nice day for a test ride :)

I love how it looks so unassuming, simple, classic, and just plain NICE looking. you could eat the miles up with a bike like that !
Absolutely 😍
Good one man! The bike looks great and indeed the exhaust has a deep sound, not like a typical inline 4, nice video!
Thank you, ABK! Yes, it sounds like a good old engine with carburetors 👌

What a bike, it looks stunning!
Indeed :)
After market exhaust, should complete this bike.
Wish this was available in the USA.
I don't know why Honda doesn't introduce the RS version on the US market. Weird decision...
please honda build the same bike but with twin cylinders and 50kg less and with a 270deg crank. I would buy one!!!!
3 cylinders, only 50 pounds less, and 20 more HP and torque. And a belt drive!!
Beautiful bike. Beautiful city.
Cheers :)
@Roland Roovers: I can't say, as it's up to you. I personally like this LED taillight because it reminds the one of the legendary Honda CB750 Four (goo.gl/LvTG8d). Ride safe too :)
Nice review... Enjoyed that... this is my next bike ;)
Great choice, enjoy! :)
Great ride! Thanks for sharing 🥂
Cheers :)
God damn, how much I hate the sound of 50 ccm scouter!
Same for me... 🙉
Buy one of these in Paris, and in two weeks it will be sporting Paris body work :)
I took bose headphone Q3 on, what a sound, if didn't know it's motorcycle, I would say it's some good sportcar! Rumble in the jungle!
45 years. I’m able to stay out of accidents.
looks and sounds nice! Ride safe
Cheers :)
I LOVE your country, very beautiful
Cheers :)
Im in love with this bike.. how can i buy or import in pakistan ?
Is this Paris if so what a lovely city
Indeed, this is Paris :)
And I was wondering what city, he was riding in, et voila..regardez le Arc!
Exactly, c'est Paris ! 😉
Good sound bro
Cheers :)
what a nice bike
Indeed
The 2010 had quite a bit of vibration over 3200 rpms. How is the vibration on this one as the rpms rise over that point? It was not good on the freeway.
I didn't feel any disturbing vibration during my test ride...
When cb1100 coming to India. Late by 10 yrs
It's not anymore marketed in France too...
@@MrKiddoMoto ok. I thought its next in line. Then which is Honda bike in 1100cc plus range.
magnifique!
Ahahah bon courage alors!
Merci ! :)
Is the RS available in America? I know the EX is.
Only the EX version is currently available the USA
Awesome bike ^^
I agree :)
Thank you Mr
You're welcome :)
Is it good for 165 cm tall rider?
Sorry, I can't say... All I know is that I'm 174 and it's perfect for me.
I rode a CB500 for my test and it was so uncomfortable even the instructor said it didn't seem like it was made for a human being
I've never tried the CB500F. I rode the CB500X for a few days during my vacation in Greece (videos here: goo.gl/i2fdiU), it wasn't that bad... 😊
I had to lift my whole leg to change gear and my hip was hurting all the time but eh still passed lol
Congrats, you're now officially a member of the coolest club in the world ✌🏻
That was a while back but thanks
Honda super dream 250 on steroids
So upset that us lowly Americans don’t get the RS 🙄
I truly understand your feeling. I sometimes visit the Japanese website of Honda ( www.honda.co.jp/motor-lineup/ ), and see all the models which are not marketed in France and feels a bit disappointed...
very wonderful
Cheers :)
Definitely brakes!
Hello, is it a good first bike for a grown man?
A bit too heavy and too powerful for a first bike. But it could be fine for a wise and cautious beginner...
nice
Cheers
Great!
Cheers :)
👍🏼
Is it an electric? lol
No, wind power 😉
MrKiddo Damnit, Thought so
Not as much as your life
