After years of collecting, I decide to sell of some of my best find form the past few years! A BIG sale is brewing! See what we are letting go! - Розваги
Last Amazing Fantasy 4.5 sold on ebay in June for......62 000, Cha Ching. Looking forward to this Auction.
I hope his does as well or better! 👍👍👍👍 Another Great Video Alex, loved it! ❤❤❤❤❤ May God Bless you and ALL of your loved ones ALWAYS! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I want to say 60K-80K estimate.
@@lordstanleyjr2015Floored! I had no idea.
What did it sell for?
I got tickled when you were talking about Sherri Lewis' puppet Lamb Chop and called it Mutton Chop...sideburns. Of course, her calling it a cut of meat isn't something most of us kids picked up on either. Great stuff. Should be a terrific sale.
Haha whoops!
I chuckled at the "Mutton Chops too".....
@@CuriosityIncorporated That was funny! You have some awesome stuff!
@@CuriosityIncorporated It ain't so easy being extemporaneous. 🙂
I had a giggle too! Love Lamb Chop. My daughter & grandson each have 1 puppet!!
Thank you for sharing! It is so interesting to peek into the past and imagine what life was like for the original owners of all those items. I have seen a lot of changes, from a toddler living in an ancient off-grid log cabin, watching my mother hand-scrub laundry on a scrub board, after she chopped the wood, hauled the water, heated it on the stove, and finally to hang it out to freeze on the clothesline; and now I have to worry about my granddaughter interacting with Artificial Intelligence online.
Nice collection for Auction!!! 💓💝💘❤💖 watching your videos, thank you for sharing and have a great evening!!
Isn’t it lambchop? Hahah… mutton chops would,be those crazy old sideburns
I laughed at mutton chops too! Bad Gen xer, Alex!!!!!!!
Wouldn't hold my breath for any big win on those comics going thru Kastners.
My sister last month sold 50 years of items she collected because she was moving in to a smaller place. She was surprised at what the total sale was! Good luck
I think the reason why Alex is doing this at this time he has a tremendous big heart. Would it happen in Hawii was a horrific event and it could’ve affected their family. I think he is so grateful that his family is OK and I think he’s heartbroken. What happen in Hawaii, but he probably realizes that the stuff that he’s collected for so long isn’t as important as life and caring about one another. You could see it in his eyes when he talked about the tragedy, the death toll keeps rising as I write this I pray for the healing of the family and friends, and also for the state of Hawaii and because they are part of the US also for all of us as well everyone is in my prayers and thoughts as I am up now, drinking my coffee and reflecting upon the gifts that I have been given in my life I’m sure Alex was reflecting as well as this tragedy was unfolding.🦋
While he is big hearted and may want to make a donation to Maui I think he needs the money. He doesnt work and this is his source of income
@@rosanneciccia7918He's making a decent income off of youtube as well, so he has that income as well. His videos are part of his "work".
The amount of time needed to prepare, package, and photograph every item means he's been working on this auction for weeks, if not months.
@@rosanneciccia7918 “He doesn’t work”.? Au contraire! I don’t think you can find a person who works harder than Alex Archbold. Maybe he doesn’t punch a time clock but watching him clean out and sort through houses owned by hoarders wears ME out. He is usually on a timeline and it is backbreaking, dirty, sometimes dangerous work. He makes numerous runs to charity shops, the dump and sellable items are taken home for sorting, cleaning and repairs before auction. His sweat equity has provided a wonderful life for his family and they were able to build the house of their dreams. He deserves every dollar he’s earned but is such a caring guy he generously shares what he has with many who are less fortunate. Yes, Alex works.
@@cahatlady The photography is done by the auction house. I think they also do some of the packaging.
What a surprise at the end! I hope all the best for you on this auction! I'm not a comic book kinda gal, but IF I WAS...! WOW!!! 🤩
I think close call shook him and his family and getting items sold just in case so family isn't burdened with it later...things in order in case of emergency.
What close call? Maui? He's been working for weeks, if not months, to prep this auction.
I understand that you don’t normally put a reserve on your auction items. These are outstanding items that should command a decent price. Please consider setting a reserve on at least the high end items. You deserve it.
The auction was in progress before he made this video.
@@GuyWithTheDogs He said in the video that the auction for this lot of stuff will be in late September.
@@FlawlessJah September 30. The items are up on Kastner now.
@@FlawlessJah It's an on line auction and it's active now. Ijt ends on September 30.
@@GuyWithTheDogs Sorry mate. Yeah read and interpreted the comment wrong thought you were saying it was already done and not still active. Sorry again
there is no known value for the original X-Men #1 in mint condition, we estimate a value of well over $500,000. The highest valued copy, a Pacific Coast edition, was rated a CGC 9.8 NM/M and sold for $492,938 in July 2012. Now watch Kastners get 300 dollars for Alex's copy in their typical way.
This is what makes me sad that he doesn't have reserves
Maybe he’s okay with letting someone else take a profit. (Didn’t they also just sign a huge television deal?) Alex thinks differently, that’s why he’s so fun to watch!
he got $32,500 at auction for the X Men, and $41,000 for the Amazing Fantasy one - Still pretty impressive if you ask me. Some people are easily parted from their money for an old comic!
I want you to know this Alex. There are only two or three UA-cam channels that I have not missed an episode and yours is one. This commitment to wonderful things is why you keep us coming back. I wish you so much success on the sale of your most treasured items as I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more. Thank you for sharing your life and talent for wonderfully random facts with us all. Can’t wait for the auction. ✌🏻🤍
I just shared the current auction from Kastners when it popped up on my FB feed.
I'd be so nervous just leaving it all at the auction house.
Oh how I hope you do great.
I'll promote this auction to people I know that collect items.
I know I can help sell some jewelry.
I'll be watching and probably buying something.
Thanks Alex and best of luck! 🤞🍀
There are many great finds here. However, I'm much to old to be getting collectibles or shopping for antiques, I am the antique lol. I love watching these vids and hope to watch the auction. Wishing Alex and family great success with the sell.
Good luck Alex! I really admire your faith in putting all those things through auction. Hope you will get some good sells!!
personally would have taken my comics to Heritage or Goldin, best place for high end collectibles
There is nothing stopping you!
I hope this auction is getting more publicity than previous ones.
Alex - Please put a reserve on your items!
Also, direct people to your own site and build a following that you own off of social media. It's a little bit a work but it's worth it.
He doesn't have a site. All UA-cam & Facebook.
The auction was in progress before he made this video!
Shari Lewis puppet was called Lamb Chop. Greatest ventriloquist ever.
Great mix of items in this sale. People may find themselves doing early holiday shopping. Keep promoting this auction.
Best wishes on a landslide sale event. Totally precious stuff.
I would be terrified with no minimums. I admire your courage.
Alex, that is a phenomenal collection 😊! I feel sad for you letting all of your treasures go 😢. Boy, lots of folks will get tremendous items. All the best ❤.
The Archibold's minimalism journey is their gain and our gain. Beautiful collection, Alex.
Incredible inventory!!! I'm excited for you -- can't wait to see how it goes 😊
You have an impressive collection up for auction. It covers a lot of different interests. A little something for everyone. The 1789 art looks interesting. I think you will do well.
I wish you lots of luck on your safe Alexander, you definitely have quite the collection there that's for sure!!!
I Love the miniature cameras
I'll never really understand why Alex keeps selling valuable assets like a #1 Spiderman in a near-anonymous local auction house like Kastner Auction... This kind of stuff needs ALOT of visibility to get the most out of it... I mean, just those Marilyn Monroe pictures... I know it's easier to go dump stuff there because it's close from home... but dang, some stuff miss some highlighting!
Alexander has already shared that for him, a fast nickel beats a slow dime every time. He takes the risk of a profitable below-market offer to cash out fast. Kastner pays out within a week of an auction. Other auction houses can take months to appraise items (like the MM pictures) before they even get a date on the auction calendar which could be months away.
I'm interested in seeing what the Marilyn Monroe unpublished photos garner monetarily! My hubby(RIP) left quite a MM collection that I now have to deal with.
I hope either the auction house or Alex really advertise the sale widely. I'd be contacting every Marilyn Monroe biographer and collector known to the internet about those photos. As for making a fast buck over a slow dime, how long has he help on to some of this stuff? The musician's house auction had some really expensive jewelry selling for pocket change because they described diamonds as clear stones or gold as yellow metal. Making a fast 50 bucks on a ring worth 5000 or ten thousand dollars is insane. He's been able to pay his mortgage, buy land, build a McMansion and a pool house, take his family on vacation to Hawaii, have his kids' university paid for in advance - stuff most people might only afford by retirement if ever. So maybe he's just rolling in so much money that he doesn't care if he gets 50$ for that Spiderman comic while someone else sells it on for an astronomical sum. But here's the thing; this time he's selling things that he can *know* have a huge value. It's not a bunch of oil cans. It's like the musician's jewelry: some research and contacting the right people and he could have got a proper price instead of fairly handing it over to people who sold it on for what it's actually worth. Why not put it on ebay for heaven's sake so you can reach more people than some unknown But auction house in Edmonton? But maybe he's so rich he just doesn't care?
serious collectors search auction houses all around the world, those Monroe photos will earn more than the comics, word gets around fast in the collector's world
What an impressive collection. I will be sure to tune in for this one. Best of luck on the sale!
Amazing collection. Looking forward to seeing the result of what these goes for.
Liked, shared and commented!
Good luck Alex. It must have been hard to give some of those treasures.
Nice ! My dad was a bodyshop manager at a volkswagon dealership..we had thr Red and white one also. .
Lamb Chops was Sherry Lewis' main puppet, not mutton chops. Love you guys.
Mutton chops 🤣🤣🤣
Lamb chops are food. The puppet was named Lamb Chop.
Wow 🤩 Fantastic Stuff‼️
Spiderman first one is already at 4100! Great going!
Wow! I scrolled through some of the items last night. I haven't had time to see them all yet but it's an amazing selection. Good luck, i hope you do well!
X-Men # 1 wow.. that is amazing.. I hope they lock that book up in there safe. Thanks for sharing cheers from Ontario!
Nice items Alex, I love and appreciate how you enjoy items for awhile and then let them go on to someone else to enjoy. ❤❤❤
Alex, I wish only the Best for You out of this Auction!!! I know and many more know, how hard you worked to collect these items!!! You deserve to get what these items are worth and much more!!! Good Luck, or let's say, Many Blessings!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
so many auctions i cant keep track, guess the other ones ended.i like watching the live auctions see what people paid, ill check for the videos
His auctions are rarely back to back. But he does so regularly because that's how he moves merchandise, especially since he no longer has the store.
I love the "after-show" aka comments..... What a lovely lovely collection you are "letting go" ....it's all about YOU.... Best always! ♥ from BC
I would love that bike. I had a BMW 800, but too big for me. This one looks ideal. 😊
Your collection of collections !
We all have collections ,some of us
Just know when to sell !
Good luck everyone ,good pickin' s 🙋
You have some very interesting articles in the auction .Loving the phone and anything Beatles . I'm at an age where I rarely collect anything any more but there are a lot of people out there who do . I really like the little Pyrex dishes .They are very practical . I hope this is successful for you . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
Same for me....I've done my collecting.. enjoyed it, now time for someone else to enjoy the items.
Totally awesomeness of a stack of vintage Gold Collectables! Thanks again for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😎👍♥️🇨🇦✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️💯💯💯💯💯💯
Sweet! room for collecting more stuff!
I'm nervous for you Alex! I hope it turns out to be the best auction ever for you!👍👍👍👍 Another Great Video, Irelly loved it. ❤❤❤❤❤ May God Bless you & ALL of your loved ones ALWAYS! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
best wishes for the sale ❤🏴
You will do great!
Best wishes for a successful auction ❤
Good luck with the auction 😊
Please stream the auction. Would love to see how it goes!
Wow! Spider-Man number 1 and x men number 1! I will be interested to see what they go for! You should do a video just on those items! 😁👍🏻
Someone will get a bragain for sure. kastners does NOT get good prices. Time and time again he has sold stuff there for far less than what he should have gotten. He also never puts a reserve on items. Big mistake, especially with those comics !
Speaking of old telephones.....did you know that Alexander Graham Bell
tried to popularize the greeting " Ahoy-Hoy " as a greeting when a person answered the phone.
Thomas Edison preferred " Hello ".
Alex my love friend. Honey, I know it took a lot of courage to put up all the items for auction. I can see in your face the emotional attachment you have for beloved pieces. I hope everything goes well for you. Life must go on. You are looking very handsome. Well my beloved until next time. Take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🙏❤️👍🕊😇🌹🌈🇺🇸🌞
I don’t know how you do what you do! I would lose my mind finding snd organizing snd then selling would be tough for me. A labor of love and madness perhaps. I sympathize and honor it all. I hope the auction is wildly successful! 🤩
What a COLLECTION ❤❤❤
Good Luck Alex, It will be a Great Auction. Georgia Mad Mike
Holy crap on the comics! 😳🔥 That AF15 looks beautiful - I hope you get a great sale price for that! That great grade on Xmen 1 also makes me weep!😭😂 Classic - thanks for sharing!
I really hope you get what these things are worth in your auction!
Thanks Alex!
I wonder if barely escaping the Maui fires made you want to move out your inventory…
Very nice items in this upcoming auction..😊 I would certainly be a nervous wreck too Alex..😮😉 Love the Spider-Man Comic book's..😍 Good luck.. Take care..👍💕🔥👊
I think you are doing the right thing for your family and getting rid of not so tradeable items that arent negotiatable for barter in a really poor economy..and hope you turn that into an investment for more useful and barter options in a real first world true crisis...js
I know you will do good. You have some sweet stuff.
Wow amazing collection thanks for sharing hope you do well
much luck, all the best
Alex,very nice collectables.Especially those comics.
Please keep us updated on when the auction is. I want that Happy doll😃
The auction is live now!
Had to give you a like for the Mr.Miyagi shoutout
It is sad to part with our treasures BUT on the bright side it makes room for new beautiful items. You will do well. 👍👍
Good luck with the auction
Good luck Alex! 🤞❤️

The funds gained from this auction should help you with any debt you may have , college tuituin for your children or any donations you wish to make. Giving up your cherished collections must truly be difficult for you. However, the goodness this sale brings will be very rewarding.
I hope that this auction’s results exceed your expectations. I am a little shocked and saddened to hear that you are doing this. But I have purged some of my collections and I am grateful to have downsized now. I have SAVED this video as an Inspirational video and I will be SHARING it on other Social Media platforms. You might want to remind others to do the same. Thank you.
The presentation is Nice.
The grading with cards isn’t just about being pristine condition. The image being centered, the color saturation, white space edges, etc.
Fascinating. Can I ask why you don't put minimums on some of the very special items - Just to be safe?
Wow! Hope it goes well for you
My kids loved Lamb chop as I did when I was a kid❤
Enjoyed.
another great sale, the comics will be nice to see what they go for.will let my you tube comic friends know about them
Amazing courderoy too!!!
Awesome again 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Hope you do well. The Spiderman and X Men are brilliant WoW
I wish you would save your silver…it’s sure to rise in value, it’s real money.
good luck with the auction. I had many early Spiderman and X-Men comics but my mother gave them to a sick child who lived near us and they never came back
Thank you
Alex must have found a new car he wants... lol! Great collection. You gotta be nervous putting it all up for auction. Wish you well. BTW... Sherry Lewis's main puppet was "Lamb Chop." You were close though with "Mutton". lol
I hope you timed the comic book sales with your premiere episode of the show we all hope is happening!?
🤪❤️❤️🤷🏼♂️🤓
Sweet!
Wow!!!
Did you ever consider purchasing Kastner Auctions (or starting your own company) and owning the whole business model yourself? From finding or purchasing items all the way up to their sales point. More work involved, but profits would be greater. And if you purchased Kastner's, they already have a great team in place to run that part of it. Either way, you've found a good business model to buy and sell items without owning a store!
What he would save in commision costs would probably pay for his mortgage on the business !
He has found a good business model without owning an auction house!
My brother is a big spider-man fan and I’m sure he has that issue 300 around. Although his copy is in like 3.0 grade since we read it so often. Good collection of things!
For telling us in the past that you dont hold back much, you sure do!
Probably said to deter burglars... I mean look at the value of that stuff, it's extraordinary!
My son would love those Spider-Man books. But just opened and bids are CRAZY. over 4 thousand for a comic book. Sorry kid.
