A lot of resellers get that. People think they " Stage" their finds because when they shop at the same goodwill they only find crap. I just think that they don't have the "Eye" for picking out what is worth money or how to stage items in their own home. Not everybody sees the same beauty of an item🤷♀️ Anywho people are crazy🤪
@@rikkemeek1506Literally, timing is everything when shopping at GW! Twice this month I’ve arrived later, like noonish, and saw people carrying out items I definitely would have picked up had I arrived earlier. It could’ve happened the opposite as well, and I got the good stuff.
For the wood horse, I've found the best way to remove permanent marker is to trace over the ink letters or numbers with a dry erase marker, then wipe it off with a moist cloth. I use a baby wipe, works well. It lifts the permanent marker up. I usually have to repeat the process 2 or 3 times for older marks, but I've been very pleased with the results. Good luck. The horse is great!

The fact that you can use Baby Wips to remove permanent marker tells me that you shouldn't really use them on your baby😬

Another way is to have an old t shirt available then go directly over the numbers with a sharpie(black) then rub it off fast. I worked customer service for Ethan Allen for 13 years.

The emerald green bowl you pulled from that shopping basket is called Burple by Anchor Hocking. That bowl is a small bowl to a berry bowl set. My great grandmother had this exact set.
OMG..You have found an ORIGINAL E. H Shepard drawing. He is the original illustrator for all the A. A. Milne books on Winnie the Pooh!! Plus you have the providence from the Albert and Victoria Museum where they were donated. Make certain this gets in a real auction for original art work. I would bet a number of museums would want this for their collection. The drawing you have is from the "House of Pooh". Please do your research on that sketch. Most of the drawing were simple pencil sketches in the book. I'm sooo jealous!! What a find.
I loved that frosted glass owl! I would have definitely picked that up. It would have made a great WhatNot item!

Jocelyn, Axe men's spray deodorant has always worked to take permanent marker off of any non-pourous surface for me. Dollar Tree has a knock-off that works just as well. It's like magic...well worth a try. I've been enjoying your videos for years. You have a beautiful family, too. Take care.

That wooden horse made my "eyes stick out on stems"! If I'd have found it, I would've geeked out! What great finds!!!!! Both visits to this particular Goodwill were well worth the hour & 45 minute drive. Regretfully, the Goodwill in my area doesn't offer a whole lot, but have found some treasures there. I go regularly because you just never know when a treasure will show up that wants to go home with me. I look forward to your videos as I shop vicariously through you. Thank you!
I love picking stuff up at my local thrift and goodwill stores for the garden. Always thinking outside the box and you can make some interesting decor.

Luckily 1st trip was exciting with finding so much so quickly with Andrew in the car while Laurel was napping. Very nice artwork on the 2nd trip and the horse for the booth.

13:32 I have good luck removing marker with Goo Gone on a Q-tip. I would start out tracing over the mark with a Dry Erase marker and wiping it off, then use Goo Gone on any remaining smudges. Note: Goo Gone can leave a grease spot, but it is volatile, so the grease spot evaporates in a few hours to a few days.
You had so much fun the first time, finding great treasures. Of course you must go back!

Lots of finds! That blue bowl behind the paperweights is pretty.
Those acrylic flower bouquet's can do $50+ sometimes( you can cut them out of that base and sell as a bouquet). SO glad you got the black kitty😻for your garden, and some great artwork. I cant wait to see how the horse🐎 cleans up and watch you add it to your booth!

I’d drive an hour and 45 minutes for that Goodwill, too. On your second trip, I think there was a fourth Japan plate in the cart with new merchandise- but it was hard to tell since it was sideways in the tote with dishes. I love the artwork you picked up.

I have Agoraphobia and I have found your videos have ABSOLUTELY saved me. Your soothing voice,, your laughter,, and as crazy as this all sounds the noises from you going through plates and moving things around are therapeutic and strangely some Noises are triggers sending me into a panic attack,, but never while I watch your videos 😊. I watch everyday. I’m a domestic violence survivor though it seems survivor isn’t the right word since I have this fight or flight panic .. I felt I should explain that so people don’t think SHE’S OFF HER ROCKER Lol,, but anyway Thanks for sharing yourself and beautiful story and family and for being my white noise . It’s really great how your videos are my therapy 😅

It is always nice to find a shop that still has decent prices. I understand that times change, an so do prices. But the quality of the goods shouldn't go down. ( I wasn't referring to this particular Goodwill )

So something tells me that was a Belair Maryland and Goodwill. Belair was a very affluent neighborhood in the 60s and 70s and 80s so you’ll probably find really good stuff in those Goodwill‘s because the young people won’t know what their parents had and they’ll just get rid of it.

@@Diana-ng2xv its very pretty. My grandparents, aunt and uncle and a family of bunch of cousins lived in Churchville during the 50s, 60s in what was the Old Churchville Inn. The cousins scattered everywhere throughout Harford Cty. I grew up in Elkton actually just across the river. I enjoyed the CLL video about Harve de Grace. One of my favorite places to visit!

You can use dry erase markers over sharpie to get the sharpie off. Just write over, let dry then use a dry magic eraser to whipe it off. It may take multiple trys but it works. The horse is awesome.

You can remove sharpie marks bbb by coloring over it with a dry erase marker and then willing off before it dries off. It may take a few times to get it all off.

I don’t understand those that think you stage your finds. You can tell by the way that you film that it wouldn’t be possible. For the items you miss and go back to.. that would be a pretty elaborate setup to accomplish.
