I do jail ministry and and am currently helping to get a sewing program up and running. The Lt. in charge of programs wanted to make eyeglass cases to donate to the hospital to give to patients to put their eyeglasses in before surgery. I found this super cute video and am so excited to teach the women that I am working with how to make these. Thank you!
I love everything about this! I do hope you make them and share a photo with us over at my Fan Club on Facebook, I rebranded to @SookieSews now :)
This was super easy even for me who is not great at sewing, thanks! I think my mum will love it!

Cutest eyeglass case...love the faux sashing!!! Thank you Sue for another fun, and easy, project!!
Oh my gosh!! I think I’m going to be making a lot of these! Your fabric choices are always on point!
This is really cute. I changed it a bit. I when it was time to sew the sides, I left the lining open on end pulled it right side out and made the seam on the bottom of lining.
Awesome. We’d love to see a picture. Tag us at @sookiesews
Love your directions and easily adaptable to any size you want to make!
Love having the lining form a header on the eye glass case!
Another easy and fast project that will make great gifts. I really like how Sue uses the clips.
I had hand surgery yesterday and they gave me one of these eye glass holders !!! I love it! It’s made with Christmas material. My favorite holiday❤.

Love it! I am an experienced sewer and sometimes doing a simple project like this is a nice change. Beginners will have no trouble with your instructions. Way to go!!
A great way to use scrap quilting cotton and batting.
Thanks so much
How much would you sell these for?
@synoladesignsboutique usually the average is cost plus time. So if it cost you $6 in materials and 1 hour to make and you charge $15 an hour then around $20 but also charge what’s fair and what you think ppl will pay for it. It’s always easier to start high and go down. I’d probably keep it around the $14-16 price range.
I love your eyeglass case. Such a cute pattern. Thank you for sharing.!❤
glad you like it and thanks for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment, hope you subscribed!
I love how you sew smarter, not harder!!! I am learning so much easier ways of doing things, thanks to your lessons!!

I am going to have to make one of these 🎉🎉🎉
Please do!
What a great way to use up scrap fabric! Attractive and useful, too. EDIT: And I've just finished making my first one for my spare pair of glasses! I used some batik that's been in my stash for gods know how long for the outside. For the lining, I used a mermaid print in a similar color scheme. I deliberately chose the mermaid print because I don't like it very much - there's just enough peeking out to complement the batik without it being the main focus, and it doesn't feel like I "wasted" pretty fabric on a lining that will (mostly) not be seen. I will definitely be making at least one more of these for my everyday pair of glasses.
Thanks so much for sharing such detail! I love when people make my projects :)
Excellant
Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed
