I keep a few of these around - I always have one in my purse so I can take my glasses off if it's raining and I'm running from the car to a store, until I started wearing glasses all the time I didn't realize what a pain it is to get raindrops on them! I also keep a case in the car. How and where would you use these?
I love the simplicity of this and you explain things so well. Could you give the details of the batting you initially used, mentioned at the beginning of the video. I would like to make a thinner one for my first attempt.
Thanks for this video. Is the foam at the bottom (which becomes the base of the case) sewn together, or does it just come to the bottom and stay open? When you sewed around the whole case with a quarter inch seam I couldn't tell if you intentionally avoided sewing the foam together or if you purposely sewed under it. Thank you again!
The foam has a fusible adhesive on one side to adhere it to the fabric. I did purposely avoid it when sewing the seams because it is too bulky when you get 2 layers into the seam. The only place I actually sew it is when I edgestitch around the top / opening once it's turned right side out. Hope that helps!
Can you add a pocket...my granddaughter uses them for reading only and has them on a lanyard around her neck i though of putting a pocket to hide the lanyard when not it use

how would i attach a neck cord or strap?
@@katnip63 to the case? I would put two little loops of ribbon so they would come out of the top and then attach a strap with small hooks. Great idea!
Thank you! Finally a simple one I can make! Thanks so much !

I just used a scrap of cotton batting I had left over from a quilt - you can use any kind you like.
