Don't let people on UA-cam or social media silence your opinion no matter pro-gun or not. No one is forcing anybody to watch or listen. Really like the Hatsan. Great home gun. I've been wanting to get a pump escort. Ive heard they're good quality shotguns at a reasonable price.
I did a ridiculous amount of research when I was looking for "just the right" defense shotgun I settled for the Hatsan Escort Gladius Legacy 20 gauge defense shotgun. Very well made, good solid rifle. Has sling strap, a forward pistol grip (adjustable) and the stock is adjustable too. Its The gas piston makes this lightning fast. A little heavy (as most shotguns are) but with adjustments it handles very nice, no kickback, good for seniors and my lady is not afraid to use this shotgun. In my opinion, The Hatsan Escort Gladius a great asset for home defense.
Its a great shotgun for the money. It has a bit of rough edges here and there but function has been flawless for me so far and I know hatsan enjoys a good reputation in general. I dont believe quality is up there with Mossberg though. I'd say Mossbergs made in USA like my 500 are better in terms of quality and finish. Again, nothing wrong with Hatsan if you want a strong, reliable tool.
Even in a free state like Utah or Wyoming, getting a 14” shotgun is a long process. How ironic that anti gun Europe thinks a so-called “short barrel” shotgun is perfectly OK to own!
The sbr sbs part of the nfa is a reminant of unsuccesfull attempt to ban handguns , but sbr and sbs remained while pistols got removed from the nfa. The 16 inch rifle limit used to be 18 inch but the govt made a mistake selling milsurp m1 carbines (which were 16 inchers) to civilians and decided to lower the limit to 16 inches to not have to deal with milions of unsuspecting m1 carbine owners
Hi, nice video and shotgun i have the same too. I have a question for you, do you think that this shotgun could be more tactical with a pistol grip stock? Thank you
Hola Fernando, are you shooting at Lince on Saturday the 22nd ?.................... I have been looking at buying one of these short barrel Hatsan's ? ......... Un saludo................Steve.
Hi Steve! I'm trying to get this book done by the end of the month so I'm not sure, Ive been at it nonstop these last few weeks. If I can make it I'll be there.
Fernando Hola buenas tardes, soy de Argentina y tengo una Hatsan Aimguard a trombon en 20" pero no puedo encontrar esa AutoDefense, se consigue acá o estas afuera en el valhalla?
perhaps your right on not talking about U.S. gun politics.. it may come off wrong. like comparing gun age and owner ship in France. really may come off wrong or not as you intended. Got your book, love your vids. Thanks!
Well, what I said was all true. In EU you are an adult once you turn 18 and therefore can own guns, no matter if its a long arm or handgun. Ironically, Florida now passed a new Gun Bill raising the age to 21 for all guns. People much better informed than me told me that now that they had a pro 2A government they would get to pick "from the menu" and would get full auto, sound suppressors, SBS, SBRs, you name it, no more class 3, NFA. Instead they got a bump stock ban and talks of "taking the guns first", due process later.
The NRA-ILA has a lawsuit filed about the age being raised to 21.. However as for France show me an AR-15, SKS or AK-47 you picked up in a gun store there (at any age) lol
???? not sure I follow. I have an AR (actually a Colt M4, 14.5" barrel) and an FN FAL, and a CETME. And yes, you can have them in France as well. At age 18.
Not that it's a great source of fact but from wiki, France: Category A: Firearms restricted to law enforcement that cannot be owned by civilians. Includes firearms disguised as another object, select fire firearms, firearms of a caliber greater than 20mm, handguns with a magazine capacity greater than 20 rounds, and rifles and shotguns with a capacity greater than 31 rounds. No civilian may carry any of the Category A weapons. A special form allows a civilian to apply for a 1 year carry license, which allows them to carry a handgun and a maximum of 50 rounds, if they are "exposed to exceptional risks to their life". In practice, such authorizations are rare. as for Spain wiki said "Rifles chambered for certain "war calibres" are prohibited, such as .223/5.56 NATO and .50 cal. and Winchester 308 and 7.62x39 (AK round) is only permitted in bolt-action or single-shot weapons" Please tell us the low down on Spain's gun laws from someone who is in Spain and owns them, too much junk info on the inter webs.. Thanks!
inthego. In the case of France notice that cat A is for more than 31 rounds in long arms. Cat B would be less than 30, so say for example an Ar15 with a 30 round mag for ipsc would be fine. As for Spain 223 is banned for semi autos but 222 is fine. Same for 308, for fals and ctme its 307w, which is basically the same but rimmed. Any other caliber is fine, so if you want say an ar15 in 300blk thats ok. But here 222 is very common, affordable and not a bad round at all for a 14" carbine.
I bought this product. Disgusting impression. I shot four packs of cartridges of 32 grams from the box. And a dozen magnums. Not a single automatic recharge. I reloaded everything manually, twitched the bolt. He cleaned the gun, oiled it. The next day, I shot 15 rounds of magnum from Fetter. Here the recharge was about two meters. Then I reloaded 32 grams again and again manually reloaded. I disassembled it, the gum is in place, the piston goes perfectly around the store. I don’t understand what the problem is. The store said to shoot 100 magnum rounds and then a machine gun will shoot. But I don’t believe in this run-in.
You have no idea what you are talking about concerning EU gun laws. It is more difficult to get through paperwork than to teach Americans to use metric system and shift-stick.
@@clarino2 "Except they are never used" as you can attest by looking at their rental parking lots. Concerning EU gun laws, you have no clue. Take a look at UK as they tend to speak English and are enjoying restrictive but not unique gun experience, then you can take a second look at Germany and France. Or Poland with maybe 100.000 gun owners.
@@clarino2 Why you get derailed into discussing about transmissions in order to prove your very dubious idea in remote territory completely disconnecting from the movie I have commented, just because your perception differs very greatly from majority's perception of US citizen's ability to use shift stick we observe in every car rental in Europe?
Biggest garbage I ve ever bought. after 50rds of high quality ammo ,it started double feeding, jamming, and finally completely unable to lock in when loaded, thus unable to fire. ANYBODY who gave a positive review for Hatsan was either very lucky, or NEVER fired more than 20 rds, or was paid by Hatsan, or is a gun dealer carrying Hatsan garbage ( made in Turkey). Here in US we called stuff made in China garbage. But I lived in Europe for 18 years - there EVERYBODY know that Turkey makes the biggest crap in the world. China products are LEVELS above Turkish junk!!! There are a couple of big name gun manufacturers who also have production in Turkey, but they are BIG names and stand behind they are products, not "HATSAN USA"!

It's why I left england.... now I own several tools in many calipers... short, shorter and long range
You must be from Burnley, Lancashire.

Fernando that is a sweet little shotgun thanks for the review
youre welcome, thanks for checking it out ;-)
Hatsan are quite popular around Latin America. My friend in Costa Rica had two Hatsan´s and were as reliable as my old Mossberg.

In the US you can buy a shotgun or rifle at 18 in most states. Two have no age restrictions. For pistols most are 21 but some are 18.
Good presentation. I like that Hatsan shotgun. Any shooting vids?

That's right,in Russia I've got remington 870 12.5"
Most countries in Europe have 18" as minimum barrel length for shotguns.

I own both of those shotguns !! Super amazing home defense products 👌🏻
Hi Fernando,
great video! Thank you.
Is this shotgun capable to use magnum shotgun shells?
i have a hatsan and very good gun!! Have also a Bergara 308 and a Fabarm.. all very good guns for good price
Hi, nice video and shotgun i have the same too.
I have a question for you, do you think that this shotgun could be more tactical with a pistol grip stock? Thank you
I got a hatsan marine (nickle) escort couple years ago from my wife. For our anniversary.
Love that gun! Cheap, reliable and exceeds expectations
I cannot find this, nor the Defender shotgun anywhere. I own the Escort Aimguard.

I am new in guns so here is a silly question.... where does the red dot attaches? I do t see any picatiny rail....
Same question
There is two dovetails cut into the reciever. You can get a dovetail to weaver mounts if thats what you prefer
What is the device on the barrel? What brand is it. My gun does not have this thing.
Its a heat shield.
Amigooo cuántas Hatsan tenes?
Es la misma pero sin pintar
