I always used an RMR on my carry gun but about a year ago I switched to a 6 moan EPS carry and I don’t know that I’ll ever change it. Can’t speak for it as a “duty” optic like the RMR clearly excels at but it’s the only enclosed optic with a good form factor for conceal carry (other than the new Sig one which looks very similar). Keeping lint and stuff out of the emitter is honestly great for daily use. I’ve broken some of their “budget line” optics but their “nicer” stuff like the 509t and AEMs have proven to be pretty solid for me and many other people I know. I’d buy an American made alternative if it existed out of principle but not because the product itself is bad.
Love my 6 moa eps carry! Been rocking it on my daily since March of 2023 and have shot a few USPSA matches with it and probably at around the 2k round mark with it on this setup. 👍🏼
EPS Carry's window is still bigger than Acro and only a tad smaller than RMR. You can keep it as a backup when your Acro catches condensation or gets its glass shattered...
I started with a EPS carry on my sig, then got a Trijicon RMR for my Glock 19. I couldn't believe how bad the RMR seemed in comparison (glass clarity, fishbowl). The EPS carry actually feels larger, though it isn't. I am fine with the RMR (after a couple hundred rounds) now because I understand it is a tank.
Trijicon is guilty of not innovating much. With most of their products and especially the rmr’s. They were the only game in town for years, but not anymore (for a long time now). But they still act like no other company makes life-depends-on-it pistol optics
Wait until a little dirt or something gets into the emitter on the RMR or it gets fog from condensation. There is a reason the military uses closed optics. In my experience and opinion (retired military GWOT Veteran of 20 years) nothing that will go wrong will go wrong. I would love to see Trijicon come out with a closed system. I used ACOG’s and Aimpoint optics on my carbines during multiple deployments. I get it, not everyone is a “gear bro” type of person. But if you want something bomb 💣 proof run the “Combat proven” system.
@2AToday in their defense, why fix something that's not broke. Their dots have been the standard for years until a company surpasses them I doubt we will see innovation from trijicon. Same goes for glock. They haven't innovated much because glock has been the standard to beat. In my opinion.
@@sneak916 In the SRO's defense, Trijicon says up front it is not as durable and should not be used for 'duty' (self defense, anything where lives depend on it). But do I wish they had made the SRO just as durable as the rmr etc..
Been carrying with an EPS on my G19 for about a year and a half now and at least a few thousand rounds down range. No complaints, though I do wish I had an option to select between a circle dot and stand alone dot. Feel like a circle dot helps with the learning curve
I love my 2MOA EPS carry. It might be my favorite pistol dot of all time.
I'm thinking of getting one of these for a G43x.

Been running a 507 Comp on my Shadow Systems MR920 for almost a year. So far so good !
Holosun is my affordability option. 10 kids. $ is tight always.

It has seemed like robustness is tied to price point. Holosun and any other brand. Btw, the intro music was awesome and your haircut looks great!

my thoughts too
Just sent out my Gen. 5 Glock 19 to be milled for an EPS!
Wish this red dot had the circle dot reticle
They make a version that does. Mine does same make.
@@Justifiedforce they have a bunch of versions.
