You remind me so so much of my Uncle TH. He drove a Metro bus in Joliet Illinois for 25 yrs plus. He lived next to the Kankakee River in northern Illinois. He'd rather fish than eat or sleep. When he retired, then he moved to Florida with his wife on the Gulf side. He only lived a few years after moving, but his wife told me at his funeral hardly a day went by he wasn't fishing. This is one of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much, it shows me where my Uncle TH went to play.
I’m so shocked I’m seriously in Kankakee IL working at Nucor steel building the new caster Joliet is 40 Mins away so crazy to see this! How’s the Kankakee river for fishing? Me and some buddy’s been wanting to but we are from Texas and don’t know anything about the river here
Man you battled some beast! Like you said not the best of days, but nothing like having your line Stretched tight. The way you handled both rods truly shows your skill. You are a great fisherman Brant. Love your videos brother. Stay safe a keep up the good work.
Great video sir, do you think maybe you can show us how to safely unhook a ray, so we don't harm us or the ray? Every video I seen they never show how they Handel the unhooking process. Keep the videos coming thanks
Yeah, I have a leather glove and just hold them by the tail and flip them over and remove the hook. They don't have teeth and if you're controlling the tail, they can't do anything. Out of the water they're pretty easy to deal with, now IN the water, well I walk around em! Lol.
Love watching your videos, my husband and I are moving to Florida in 9 months and until then we live vicariously through you. We have learned so much from you videos.
Nice work Brant watching from oz down under I know the love of beach fishing, great session, thanks for sharing and showing us your gear, I love your channel and all of your totally clean expletives, the way you talk just cracks me up so positive, humorous and always excited. Always good content and lots of it. Thanks
Thanks for making videos where you are fishing at accessable public areas👍👍!!!! As a northerner who only get to the salt 1 or 2 times a year it's great to see that catching fish is possible and not all good fishing is at hidden spots known only to locals.
I was so pumped watching this video. Don’t listen to other people keep doing your beach fishing that’s what I love the most. Love the American flag that you had there lol! And pier fishing too that’s awesome!
Surf fishing is my favorite been doin it since I was born dad sitting me on his lap in his Chevy Silverado regular cab with first truck with power windows and locks 1986 square body classic surf rig I’m now like tons money invested in surf fishing Thank you for surf fishing videos gets my excitement up
If you ever get a stingray that buries itself, pull your line tight and pluck it like a guitar string. That will usually cause them to unbury themselves and start swimming again. I think they react to the vibration and don't like it. I've had it work several times.
I caught about a 90 lb. Stingray on the NC Outer Banks last gall. It nearly spooled me twice and took 30 minutes to lad and I have a video of the entire fight. Caught with a vintage Shimano SSG7000 saltwater rear drag reel. I’ve got an 11’ Ninja Dagger last year. I couldn’t believe how light it was. I mostly like it but I wish the rod had more handle length to the front of the reel toward the tip. I like having more handle to grip as opposed to a slick rod blank. That big ray I caught never buried itself but kept on fighting. It finally broke a swivel on my rig and flapped back in the water. I was glad I did not have to get near its massive barb. Great video Brent!
was at that same beach this morning, water was dirty but clearing, surf was rough.(double red flag) Hardtails and cats were all that I got today. Thanks for the videos!
Hi Brant I love it when I use more than 1 rod and get hooked up on all of them normally there is someone walking the beach that will assist in landing the fish for me. I now have something I have never owned but always wanted a Penn spinning reel it is a Fierce III 8000 I won in a local drawing going to pair it to a ugly stick elite 6'6" jigging rod for off shore fishing I might get a surf rod to pair it with as well just not sure what size surf rod would work with it.
CMR really missed an opportunity to be there with you today!!! You are too good a fisherman to be out there by yourself, most of these videos you always know how to bait, how to present and where to put it, if not actually sight fishing....anyways, Love watching you dance with the fish!
Brant, I enjoy watching your videos just as much you enjoy making them. You inspire me to go fishing more often than I do. Please keep them coming . Godbless 🙏
Enjoyed the video. Can't say I've ever seen two surf rods with big fish on them at the same time. You handled it great! You should show the unedited version. I was 🤣 up.
I love watching your beach videos I fish in south Texas on the surf but it's nothing like the conditions you have it makes me want to make a trip to Florida
I use a single finger cover with a wrist strap for casting braid. I cut my finder down to the bone last year casting and forgot to tighten my drag down
Absolutely use normally 3 rods when beach fishing to cover close in, before the bar, and over the bar! To cover all the areas to locate where they are running.
Hi Brant, hope you having a beautiful day, well done for handling two rods at the same time, one can only attempt it with experience, again, well done, have an awesome day, God bless, Hugo
I can’t say I could get my feelings hurt with a day like that! Rays aren’t what we would like but it sure gave you a fight worth the cut bait. It only seems to be a downer when compared to the Red Fish the trip before… Thanks for the entertainment…
Man you most know my family. Because we also call the heron Fred. I fish every spot you do here. Johnson Beach under or by the Theo Barrs Bridge. Try it big black snapper
This was so awesome unbelievable having 2 fish on in Salt on land. I'm also in Florida and I'm definitely going to be fishing more. I'm now a subscriber your awesome 👌🏾
This is the video I was looking for!!! We are coming down in July hopefully will catch something decent size just see what the fight is like on a rod like that!!!
Love the video Brant you man not of caught a lot of fish but you caught some nice size fish and yes I'd say things got a little crazy for you but it makes for an exciting video keep them coming my friend I love watching you fish no matter where you are👍
cold...hah, one of these days come up the WA state and I'll show you cold...lol...spring chinook, summer steelhead, REAL steelhead...freshwater fishing at its best...warm weather young people...lol
You say this time of year. What time of year? My wife and I are planning a trip to Florida and wondering what the best time of year to fish from the beach and piers? Thanks in advance. I love your channel. -Bill from New Hampshire
Caught rays like that in Rockport, TX. Big Atlantics, on 20lbs braid... Took off like it had to be somewhere, took an easy 15 minutes before I had it at the bank and then started digging. Took me another ten to get the *bleep* ON the bank haha. Awesome fight though 👍
Currently delivering Tesla’s to a rail yard near San Fransisco and day dreaming beach fishing. Huge fan “literally” of your videos and your crew of misfit’s!
Just out of curiosity as a constant viewer of your videos, why is it that you hook a fish and start reeling it in and halfway through say as if you are surprised that you were on suddenly when you were already halfway done reeling in the fish? Just curious… I love your videos I just seemed odd and I thought I would ask out of curiosity
You keep it up even when your trigger finger is injured?! That's dedication right there! Edit, there could easily be cobia following those rays. They like to chase behind stingrays and manta rays.

Dang Brant....What I'd give to experience that type of stress for a change...Excellent job in prioritizing your rods and landing that Ray!
Appreciate it
Great video sir, do you think maybe you can show us how to safely unhook a ray, so we don't harm us or the ray? Every video I seen they never show how they Handel the unhooking process. Keep the videos coming thanks
Use pliers to hold the tail or step on it with shoes
Yeah, I have a leather glove and just hold them by the tail and flip them over and remove the hook. They don't have teeth and if you're controlling the tail, they can't do anything. Out of the water they're pretty easy to deal with, now IN the water, well I walk around em! Lol.

Surf fishing is my favorite been doin it since I was born dad sitting me on his lap in his Chevy Silverado regular cab with first truck with power windows and locks 1986 square body classic surf rig

Can say I've done this a ton works a treat

Awesome vid. Love the surf fishing vids brant. Keep up the good work👍
Fred watching you struggle is absolutely hilarious 😂
Hey man as a carp fisherman we all use 2-4 rods and we double, triple or quad up all the time. It's a mess but it happens no sweat man
Love it when you go after the big bite!!!! Eugene has to be proud!!!
Thanks! Multiple rods make these vids way more fun to watch!!
👍
There is something about fishing from the shore and you never know what you are going to catch. Its so much fun! Great video. Enjoyed it for sure
I agree
Enjoyed the video. Can't say I've ever seen two surf rods with big fish on them at the same time. You handled it great! You should show the unedited version. I was 🤣 up.

I love watching your beach videos I fish in south Texas on the surf but it's nothing like the conditions you have it makes me want to make a trip to Florida

Keep ‘em coming man! Love your vids. Found your channel looking up fl fishing as I’m trying to move out there! Now I watch every vid!!!
use a mono top shot connected with a fg to ur braid. it will let u throw bigger bait/weights without worrying about braid cuts
I have only caught one Atlantic sharpnose, 90 miles off Galveston fishing for snapper....they do taste good.
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks

I grew up vacationing in perdido key and Navarre beach and I remember seeing tons of fishermen with multiple rods.
I could swear I saw Fred laughing at you with both rods going!
Sting ray catch an cook!!! Only way I’ve had is fried but I’ve heard it’s good blackened and good tacos as well havnt tried them yet tho
Thoroughly enjoy all your catches... could you also show us how u tie those rigs ?
Stingrays and Sharks Oh Boy !
That kept you busy. Nice Vid 👍
I can’t say I could get my feelings hurt with a day like that! Rays aren’t what we would like but it sure gave you a fight worth the cut bait. It only seems to be a downer when compared to the Red Fish the trip before…
Thanks for the entertainment…
It’s the same way in Northeast Florida. From summer to fall all the fish are in the surf.
Great video Brant! You are outfitted for some big fish!
This was a true thrill lol. Good stuff man! You make me want to start my own fishing channel.
for your big rod, what size is the gold penn slammer? Im looking for a new big reel and any recomendations would be great!
Very entertaining great fishing Brant, I do love your videos, stay safe and take care.
Recently had sucky fight Sputnik sinker then hooked a ray it was like having concrete blocks
Using 8foot tika rod that’s light medium action
Haha, is that the bat you used when you played for fsu? Great video! Appreciate you man! Keep em comin’!
Man you most know my family. Because we also call the heron Fred. I fish every spot you do here. Johnson Beach under or by the Theo Barrs Bridge. Try it big black snapper
Awesome video brother as usual!! Getting it done in the surf!!!🤙🤜🤛
Always fun to watch. Great video
Enjoy all your videos. What are some Piers and beaches (gulf) do u suggest to fish from in March? Thanks, you make fishing a great sport! M.
Great day at the beach Brad.

Did all your rods have 40 lbs braid? And how long was your wire leader? Still trying to figure out the best surf fishing setup. Thanks!
No. I have 20# on my slammer 4500, and 30# on my spinnfisher 5500
cold...hah, one of these days come up the WA state and I'll show you cold...lol...spring chinook, summer steelhead, REAL steelhead...freshwater fishing at its best...warm weather young people...lol

I love beach fishing videos❤
You say this time of year. What time of year? My wife and I are planning a trip to Florida and wondering what the best time of year to fish from the beach and piers? Thanks in advance. I love your channel. -Bill from New Hampshire
That was entertaining! You need to do 3 rods at the same time next!🤣
Stingray is excellent food when pan grilled in butter. Why did you not keep it?
Instead of a golf glove wht not use the Breakaway canon, it will save your fingers from braid cuts, just a suggestion, it saves my fingers
Another great video ;) making me want to leave work and go fishing now.
Amazing action!!!!!
Great vid, love your surf vids
Thank you
Chaos on the best way possible haha
I've had all 6 go off on me one day talk abt two step in it lol luckily there was some other ppl fishing near me and I was only fishing for spots
Hey Brant love the videos can you go over what microphone you use for filming???
Sure
Dang good video, now that’s what I’m talking about big fish ✅💥✌️
👍
Man, ain't nothing wrong with fishing multiple rods. Great video.
Thanks. I agree
www....really good friend... the pull is amazing, greetings from Indonesia
👍
What size pvc pipe do you use for your sand spike
That was a scary moment to have multiple rodes shaking, you should have some friend with you next time for help.
You just stopped me watching RTC and I'm here, I'll go back to Ron afterwards.
Currently delivering Tesla’s to a rail yard near San Fransisco and day dreaming beach fishing. Huge fan “literally” of your videos and your crew of misfit’s!
Wow that double hook up was insane!
You have inspired me to start surf fishing
👍
Hows the fishing out there in July and early November? Love watching your videos
I think 3 rod is pretty standard for surf fishing in Texas gulf water as well 🤷♂️
You should try the cast cannon on your rods so you don’t cut your finger when you cast.
I thought there was no cool looking way to put in a rod holder but now I'm taking my Louisville slugger along every time
Love the multiple rods only way to do it
Yup UR Right , normal or not ,three rods ? Not sure about that
Went fishing yesterday by the skyway the water was pretty clear
There are one finger casting gloves. Hopefully one your sponsors will send you one.
Ace is in Florida! You guys should collab
Absolute fun~ Wish I was there
We all love Fred!! 🤣😅❤❤❤🙈🙉🙊
تباراك الله بصحتكم الرايس
You keep it up even when your trigger finger is injured?! That's dedication right there!
Edit, there could easily be cobia following those rays. They like to chase behind stingrays and manta rays.
