Thank you for the video. That beach looks so familiar. My son is going through Naval Aviator Flight School there in Pensacola. He’s a fishing God! I’m retired Navy myself. I’m looking forward to your next video
LOL!!!!!So good to see my UA-cam Fishermen in action!!! Great to know that Ron is up and at em!!!! Awesome video guys!!! You gave me hope for the coming fishing season!!! Weak cast!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol I said the same thing right before u when cm ron did his first cast and then I herd u say it. Shit talking while fishing is the best laughter heals tight lines 🤙🏽
Ahhh, cobia in Pensacola 111 My home-town. Years ago. I was trolling along the drop off to the east of the mouth of Pensacola Bay and got my pb cobia: a 52 pounder. They sometimes call them "ling". It took 45 minutes to get it to the gaff. That thing was a BRAWLER. !!! Coincidently, I was fishing in the same spot a week or so later and got a 46 pounder. Sweet spot. Here's a hint for landing big fish on the beach: when you reel him in close and the angle of the line in the water starts getting bigger, start walking backwards until the fish can't swim well. The. Start walking slowly back toward the fish while slowly reeling in line. The fish will be trying to swim but all it will be doing is swimming IN, getting closer to the skillet !!! I probably didn't explain this technique very well, but maybe you can figure it out. The object is to keep your rod tip and the line that is in the water down ... under water if you can. Otherwise keep the rod tip as close to the surface as possible. Look out for sting rays. Don't step on one. You'll be hating life if it hits you with that stinger. I usually found flounder in that area, too. That red was a NICE FISH.
Those blue angels will be in Jacksonville real soon, they are such a beautiful sight to see along with the rest of the show that is put on, it used to be all about the boy scouts! they would go camp and have fun right on the base. I don't think they do it anymore? but it was a great thing for the kids and the whole community.
Muy buena la pesca y el video me podrías decir que marca de caña y carrete que usas me parecieron una gozada pescar, con ese equipo y gracias por tus videos Very good fishing and the video, could you tell me what brand of rod and reel you use? I thought it was a joy to fish, with that equipment and thanks for your videos
Thanks for the laugh you guys! Absolutely loved the footage of CMR's quick release ( fling) on the bany shark, because I would have "released" itvthe exavt same way. Tight lines boys!
What an awesome video! Totally loved the Blue Angels! Can’t wait to see a video with you CMR and Matthew fishing from the beach. Shark fishing is so cool and that red at the end of the video was totally awesome. Keep it up!
Damn, for once I wish I could be one of the first commenters on your video because really Brant, I have no idea what to use as far as tackle is considered for shore fishing and pier fishing. For pretty much all of my 54 years of life, I've been fishing fresh water, and usually just stocked fish up north. I did a lot of bass fishing like everyone else, but that's about all I've ever really gotten, and I know what to use for that. I've got some big rods that I bought probably a few years ago at Walmart that I thought would probably be something for deep sea fishing because they were just really big and heavy duty, not light at all though. I'm just wondering what's something that is basic, that won't cost me an arm and a leg? And what kind of poundage and style of Iine should I use, stuff like that? On top of that, how much weight should I use for the beach as opposed to a pier, bank, or boat, even kayak? I'm probably not going to be fishing with anybody at first, and I'm not going to take three or four rods with me and set them up at the beach. just give me something basic that you know of if you can or even someone else who reads these comments maybe they could tell me something I'm talking like I don't want to spend over $100 for rod and a real if possible for the beach. I think maybe I could get away with using one of my freshwater rods on a kayak, or on a pier. I just have to figure out what kind of line to use for them I guess. Thank you for all of the videos you put out, I'm still trying to get caught up. oh by the way not that it makes a difference, but I'm a mister not a miss or Mrs. Don't let my name fool you please, LOL!
I am by no means an expert but local surf fishing area tackle shops will have ok rod reel combos for around 50 to 100 not including tackle but most times local tackle shops can tell ya whats biting and what is used to get em
If I ever get over that way I will definitely have to give you guys a yell. I was at Ginne Springs for a couple days camping and if I didn't have something come up where I live I might have made it. Any way always enjoy your shows and if I could give a double thumbs up I would
I've hooked a few cobia from the beach and in Sarasota Bay on a seawall. Decades of fishin' the area and I only landed one cobia from land. They're one of my favorites to catch and eat, I caught them on my buddy's boats. I'd love to see you catch more cobia, especially from the beach. Do you and CMR ever hunt for tripletail? I've never seen him trying to find them.
@@jurrassicjackgamingandstuf5691 I hooked one on Sunset Point pier back when the water was deeper at the end. And I caught one from the seawall by the twin bridges between Bird Key and Lido, the corner by the yacht club. I caught some nice big mangrove snapper there too. I've been gone since 09 so maybe things have changed.
Great video I was on the other side fish near the pier I ran into CMR we spoke for couple mins he told me u was on the beach side he told me to follow the mini ladder I’m here from saint Augustine for the week been fishing at the fort since Tuesday catching big red an jacks myself Keep the great videos coming 🤙🏽
Fantastic video caught some really nice fish today may have not got your Cobia but you had a banner day I laugh every time any of you guys replay CMR throwing the shark into the water I like the fact that you guys never let him forget my fishing buddies and I do the same thing to each other makes for great memories👍👍
Yall shore fishers got it easy. I have to fish in creeks and rivers. The fish (in general) don't hook themselves, you have to yank hard. And you can't just chill in one spot for too long cuz the fish don't move. Then again... I don't have to worry about accidentally catching a sting ray lol. (Then again... snakes...)
Been to Fort Walton area several times. unfortunately the locals seem to not appreciate out of state visitors money. Their economy kind of depends on it. I've found it to be fact the locals, maybe not all but certainly many, just expect that people will keep coming back. Been totally disrespected for the last time last year by the owner Mike of the Hidden Dunes.
Hey Brant, love your vids, my question is ... I'm heading to Gulf Shores next week. What line do you recommend for the beach? Keep up the good work, thanks!
Watching Ron toss that shark never gets old 😂 It was a pleasure meeting you guys. Glad those rods are getting work! Tight Lines fellas!
No it does not does it? YEET!! lmao
An old surfer dude that spent a lot of time surf fishing ocracoke ,chincoteague fir a very long time...what a great time watching you have fun...

Glad CMR is back and healthy... and a nice red, too!
I always dreamed of the fun of surf fishing. Thank you again for sharing these with us..! 👍
Great Day! Lots of fun to watch!
I’ll say one thing for ol’ Ron. He is sheer comic relief!! But with shark releases like that, he deserves to get bit!!
8:10 every fisher's dream!!! On such circumstances my heart goes crazy!!!
Great Video! Yall had a great day! Tight Lines 🐟

Love the military jets flying over. Such precision and excellence!
controlled flight is not that great a skill; I fly stunt kites.. i can walk them down the beach and sit one down on a fence post.
Everytime Ron does something it’s his first time
You could teach him over and over again and he'll still act like he's new at it LOL
Grande pescadores...
Saudações do Rio de janeiro Brasil 🇧🇷
Good to see Ron again! I was wondering where he's been.
I have caught several snall cobia while surf fishing in Pensacola. Or maybe they were remora. I don't know.

I was out there with the family watching the air show and you. Lol
Most fish these days are full of toxens. Like lake Mead stripers have alot of mercury and are to dangerous to eat because of toxens from poluction
Finally another fisherman on the beach, never thought I would see that. Oh nice fish landed today and bonus was the Blue Angels practice, sweet.
Keep the vids coming man!!!!
👍
Nice vid. That first one looked like a slot red. Did y'all take him home and cook him?

Hey Brant, do you generally cut the spines off the live pinfish before you throw them out for bait?
No don't need too
I'll come out and show you how to cast the big rods buddy. 😉
But how many times did he jump? I didnt hear you mention it.
Get well Ron!
