@@AlienRides You will be caught. Back in the day all this was on the QT. Deafscooter was doing this 20 years ago. I don't think he was ever caught but he was building scooters that looked like a home built. He also towed battery trailers. He is the pioneer of scooter modification. He used to go 100 miles on lead batteries.
It looks like a quality build, but what's with the cheap shit switches and buttons...straight from 1970's. And for 7grand it should be hovering not rolling down the street.
That's the best comment I've heard on this video about the we pad SSI was gonna say that myself I like the scooter but for $7000 it's uncalled for to use those cheap switches and no indication of how fast you're going or I mean range on voltage in all that you have to look at it tiny tiny little screen where the key is to look at any information whatsoever
This is like when flat screen TV's first came out in the early 90s they were anywhere between 15000 to 21000 now you can probably get a 52-inch for 500 🤣😆😃👍
It's definitely an amazing scooter, hope you can try it some day it's a lot of fun. Definitely check our our latest video on the Rion too if you haven't.
Totally sweet ride, the whole thing is a 10+. You give the range in terms of hours, would love to see a cross-country video to see it in terms of total miles traveled at different cruising speeds. A good place to do this would be at a marathon, they typically have routes blocked off to cars for up to 26 miles. At 75 mph, I see a whole group traveling in caravan down a highway, awesome.
Thanks for the request. It's an awesome ride for sure and I definitely want to make more videos with it. I'll have to see about making a range video, I'm not sure I can ride that long 😅
@@AlienRides I checked the site, they have a scoot for $3499, that does 45mph with a range of 65 miles?, pretty decent, call a GT? It's limited to 15pmh for the US.
It mostly depends on where you live, but for the most part you need a drivers license and are supposed to only ride on the street. For the most part neither is enforced, but I do highly recommend riding in the street. It's safer for pedestrians and you get around faster that way too.
Your best options for that price range might be the Zero 10X or the Mantis. Both are pretty reasonable first power scooters. We've done videos on these: Mantis video: ua-cam.com/video/-2Bxlu8_m8E/v-deo.html 10X video: ua-cam.com/video/Bx5EdCNHZCI/v-deo.html Good luck with your decision!
That’s just suicide or a very bad accident waiting to happen ! I think once scooters inevitably become accepted by the masses they will probably regulate speed more carefully. Seems like we all want scooters to be accepted in our society and this can only happen if SAFETY is a front and center priority. I just think it’s important that riders out in public always respect pedestrians and bicyclists, what one does reflects on the scooter community as a whole so please ride safely.
It's always essential for a joy rider like me to get specific information on the size and thickness of tire and range--how far I can go. The info on tires and range are more important than the max speed in review.
That's a good point, those are super important details and maybe we should go into those. Just might be hard to do that in a typical youtube-length video. I'll look at doing that in the future
There's a few of them in the USA now, maybe we're lucky for now that the law isn't enforced much, and they're over the legal limit. Sad about Germany though, this thing would be amazing on the autobahn 😅
Theeth.... at 70mph, you’ll be in a full blown body cast like those in cartoons. I hope anyone buying and riding these dumb enough to go full speed fill out their organ donor cards.
The Dualtron X is very comfortable, almost like a floating on a cloud, but it's very slow compared to the Weped SS or the Rion. I'm not sure which I prefer right now between the RE80 and the Weped SS, both have their uses and I hope to ride both extensively in the future. Those two are my top two scooters right now.
Eleazar Morillo no, I think the ss is much more stable at speed actually.. the Dualtron X can be a bit hard to control after a bump at 50mph, and buck you off.
Sounds pretty safe. Do your airbags deploy if you were to get into an accident at freeway speeds? We want to at least have a few head bones in one piece so they can identify the body.
Yeah, it's expensive for sure, but I hope the prices come down in the future. They are working on a seat option though. No doubt the chinese clones are coming.
The motors actually last a surprisingly long time! They are very simple components, only copper wires and magnets. I can see them lasting 10 years or longer. Your battery will go before that, likely after 5-6 years, but you can replace everything as needed including the motors.

WAT OTHER MONSTER SCOOTERS.....please elaborate
OK DOK 😅 sadly I’m not allowed to tell yet, but it’s going to be a good year. Few weeks if cool, but slower commuter stuff coming up, then back to the monsters soon.
@@AlienRides HI! Glad to see you received the first unit. I am noticing the same as I felt with the suspension and throttle... They can be improved a lot. To me are the things to take into account for the next model. The rest is amazing! Check my channel if you have some doubta of Weped scooter and keep it doing like that! Best regards
@@AlienRides is the zero 11x amongst them? i hope a review can be done on that goliath soon. its 1 of 3 or 4 scooters now that can hit 100 kph and its range is insane at 150k. not alot of people are mentioning it and i hope ur channel is 1 to give it the proper credit especially considering its price point. much cheaper than the upcoming ss and cheaper than the dualtron x
@@okdok3742 The 11x is going to be slow compared to what's coming, but I really want to feature it here as well. Sadly I haven't been able to get my hands on one yet 😥
This scooter is a true beauty. It was nice finally meeting you in person! Great videos keep them up! ❤😎👍
It is a beauty for sure, ride soon! 👊
Very good video and incredible scooter! I wish try one! 😍
Thanks!! 🤙🏻
Would love to see you do a video on one of these in the future ⚡️💪
Were do you get this weped scooter from, thanks
It's not released yet, but should be soon! I have a shortlink to their store here: bit.ly/buyweped
I loved how the reactions of the ones who tried it first was. It's literally how we all felt when trying it, like our souls were being left behind, users of the Weped GT50E and some Wolf Warrior and DT Thunder and DTX users were surprised as well.
And yes we still haven't maxed out the speed yet here in the Philippines as we're still adjusting with it's powerful hubs.
It's just intoxicating hahahaha can't wait for the Weped SS FPV video!
Also for the fast chargers, if i'm not mistaken they're for sale though and it sure charges hella fast! Hahahahaha
Gotta add, for turning, it'll take time but you can easily bank on corners and snake through traffic with the Shinko tyres also. It's got added stability even on wet roads.
Tweeks are also available which makes it seem endless for additional upgrades and modifications. Gotta love'em!
"like our souls were being left behind"
Nice one bro JM! Tyopapi here. Haha!
Bro sino distributor sa Philippines and saan nearest shop? Thanks in advance
@@darwinubaldo680 hey there Papi! Hahaha ❤️❤️❤️
@@janreyes7681 We have Weped Philippines here as the main distributor of Weped Units.
Just send me, i'll help hook you up with your own Weped unit! RGB and Ride's amazing. ❤️
Love the looks of it
Yeah, same here. It's not for everyone, but I think it's a great looking machine.
70mph and it has cool lights!
I WANT ONE!😭
Everyone should have one!! 😅
I agree! Everyone should have one.
But.... for $7,000.00?
@@hawaiianstylen YES! for a car as cool as this scooter you would have to pay over $400,000.00! This is like the Lamborghini Aventador of scooters.
@@matthewbrown6628 ummm...it's a scooter, not a lamborghini...lmao. The guys profiting from this are saving for a lamborghini.
Would you choose the SS or Rion e-90 if both were the exact same price and you had to choose one! thanks.
That's a really hard decision because they are such different machines! Being that this is on a Weped video I might say Weped, but ask me on a Rion video and I'd probably say Rion 😅
Maybe Rion if you want a race car, Weped if you want a crazy cruiser?
Does the Ss come with the front light garnishes included ?
It comes with the ones seen in this video. And you can of course buy tons of additional extra features for it as well, like a LED deck.
Thanks for that info!
I would love to pull up beside a sports car on the highway on this thing, give a nod, and make the pass.
Yea, fast & the furious, scooter edition.
If I can afford it il try it, I have an issue with my right hip so cannot walk long distances so this be perfect for me
Yeah, some kind of PEV like a scooter sounds perfect for you! Maybe seek out one with a nice seat, like the Dualtron X.
7K !? I'll take 2 ! 😂
Nice, give me one too!
Where can you get the SS in North America or, specifically Canada if they’re available?
They are taking a while to come in, but wepedusa should have them soon, or you can contact weped Korea directly.
Alien Rides thnx for the info
Is this the 30,000watt version, and how does it compare to the re60 in spd.
I think there's a newer SST that I've been meaning to try out. Specs wise it should beat the RE60, but lose to the RE90. I would love to do a race video soon!
@@AlienRides kewl, will great to see, keep up the awesome vids.
Wow 75 miles an hour Jesus! Crazy, that would be fun at least once in a lifetime. This we pad brings out the daredevil and all of us. You still need a new helmet and helmet is so damn dorky. But I guess it fits your fashion kind of original for you. Thanks for the nice rides! Keep up the good work.
It’s a crazy scooter for sure. I’m still looking for a helmet 😂
Surviving a accident is dorky?
Just to let you know in km/ph it’s 115.0km/ph
Thanks for the conversion into more sane units! I'll try to do both! 😅
Great vid
Nice scooter, I thought the steering looked too low but the way they have handle bar mounted it is easy to switch out to a taller bar.
In the end, too pricey for me.
Cheers
Yeah, personally I liked the handlebars, but you could definitely switch then out for something different. It's their flagship model, so it's not cheap, but excited for the progress. We'll see some other cheaper wepeds in the future, like the new CT model
I definitely plan on purchasing this scooter. So you immediately should buy a Speedometer and damper.... Thanks for the video it was amazing. Would have been nice to see your top speed... I have the Dualtron Thunder now but I'm going to sell it to a buddy of mine
Yeah, we will do some speed runs with this awesome scooter in the near future. I didn’t get a recording I was happy with, but will try to include that in future videos.
WwwwowwwW! Wooka Wooka!
Nice cameo shot from my son. I'de know that orange helmet anywhere.
That guy in the orange helmet is really cool, can't wait to ride with him again.
Great idea to collect more organ donors 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏👏👏
Just doing our part to save others!
BRUH...😂😂🤣🤣
Alien Rides 😂😂😂
price is everything guys , if it cost as much as a motorcycle probably just buy a motorcycle ok
Yeah, it's definitely expensive and I hope that the price decreases in the future. Some folks do enjoy scooters more than motorcycles though, both are awesome. 👽🖖
@@AlienRides petrol scooter
So, is the Weped GTR made by Numo? And is that the same for other Wepeds. Can we trust Numo or are they lower quality than Weped. Thx
Weped contracts out their models through Numo. I would say they should be the same, they tried to blame Numo, but any issues are their fault too. 👽🖖
What is that song that plays right at the beginning of the video? I love that electronic music.
I'll have to check my archive, but it's some retrowave music I found on a music service I used called epidemic sound, www.epidemicsound.com/referral/s3a1bs/
First thing I'm doing on that scooter is going to my local speed camera on the motorway that took my license n make it flash all day with a middle finger printed on the back of my jumper n anything else I can think of 😂😅
Haha, that would be awesome. You gave me a good idea 🤔
Alien Rides ,, well I hope that idea got flash 📸 in it lol make it happen I'll be waiting 😎👊
Dude that's what I would definitely do 😉
It looks like a quality build, but what's with the cheap shit switches and buttons...straight from 1970's.
And for 7grand it should be hovering not rolling down the street.
Yeah, the switches could definitely be improved for sure! I'm still waiting for a legit hoverboard!
@@AlienRides hahhahahahaha
Do you get a complimentary Urn to hold your ashes after unidentifiable pizza remains hit the pavement from an auto collision ?
Yes, and the best part, it's surrounded by the Weped rainbow LEDs! 🌈💪
Should come with a complimentary funeral service with this price.
beautiful. Just need a powerful stand up scooter for all the hills during my commute
Yup, they are the best way to commute. Hope you find something good! 👽🖖
Is this available yet? If so what’s price and site to buy one?
Soon I think. It's not listed yet, but the sellers should be getting stock in soon.
Looks like a great time. I'd need to remortgage my place to afford that when the exchange rate is factored in. Really neat looking.
Hey if you have a mortgage you are ahead of a lot of people out there. Congrats on that and I hope you get to try this scooter some day.
$7000?
i’d rather buy a car😂
A car is definitely more practical than this for sure, and if you need one that’s a wise investment. I’m not sure if it’s as fun as this though 😅
This is like when flat screen TV's first came out in the early 90s they were anywhere between 15000 to 21000 now you can probably get a 52-inch for 500 🤣😆😃👍
Yeah, pretty much the same with any technology. The next few years should bring even crazier scooters, and hopefully the prices come down as well.
@@AlienRides I agree I guess I'ma have to wait a few more years hopefully the price of go down maybe I have a little more money😄😃
55in smart TV at Walmart for 300 lol
Do you not mean late 90s
Insane specs. The power is monster
Futuristic beauty. See u in my dream weped haha
It's definitely an amazing scooter, hope you can try it some day it's a lot of fun. Definitely check our our latest video on the Rion too if you haven't.
Have you try doing this scooter vs the rion race edition?
I'm hoping to do that video later this year, I can't wait to do it, just a bit difficult to organize with COVID-19 and everything.
@@AlienRides cool.
Don Gillis yeah, GT50E. It’s a nice scooter for sure, taking the limiter off is easy, just a single wire to cut.
I wonder if you'd need to register this at the DMV or need a driver's license for this because of it's speed. Lol
You don't have to today, but who knows what's going to happen in the future. Personally I would like these to be the next generation of mopeds.
7k? I'll pass....
Do you need a license for escooters and can you ride them on streets or sidewalks? Just wondering
It mostly depends on where you live, but for the most part you need a drivers license and are supposed to only ride on the street. For the most part neither is enforced, but I do highly recommend riding in the street. It's safer for pedestrians and you get around faster that way too.
are there any that are much cheaper (1200-2000) and max out at 40 mph?... looking for long range and strong..
Your best options for that price range might be the Zero 10X or the Mantis. Both are pretty reasonable first power scooters. We've done videos on these:
Mantis video: ua-cam.com/video/-2Bxlu8_m8E/v-deo.html
10X video: ua-cam.com/video/Bx5EdCNHZCI/v-deo.html
Good luck with your decision!
do 70 mph on a scooter? NO THANK YOU
Gotta outrun coronavirus somehow 😬
That’s just suicide or a very bad accident waiting to happen ! I think once scooters inevitably become accepted by the masses they will probably regulate speed more carefully. Seems like we all want scooters to be accepted in our society and this can only happen if SAFETY is a front and center priority. I just think it’s important that riders out in public always respect pedestrians and bicyclists, what one does reflects on the scooter community as a whole so please ride safely.
👍🏾 I Concur.
Who says you have to go 70mph smarty.
It can actually go faster. But it doesn't mean you have to hit that speed every time you ride it.
You’d get locked up for riding one of those in the UK 😳
Yeah, that's sad. I'm hoping that there's more friendly laws around the world for these environmentally friendly machines.
Yeah but I’d still ride it anyway. Doubt the police could catch me on one.
lol ..
"don't have to get your shoes dirty"!
Thats worth 7k alone.
Haha, for real, though I guess that’s also a feature of any car 😅
Where do you have the camera mounted?
Hah I think this was a 360 camera strapped to a pole. I don't really film like this any more though.
@@AlienRides I see the selfie stick shadow. Where was the stick mounted?
Cool Review. I seen the ssr version on kramoto review. Wats the difference?
This is the same one on Kramtoo’s channel. The naming is a bit confusing, I think this vid might also be considered the “SSR” version.
@@AlienRides Thanks Bro :)
Great looking killing machine, only for the reckless ones
It’s totally crazy machine for sure and too much power for most. 😅
Literally Sounds like that batmobile
I think this would make a great batscoot! 🦇
70mph??? You're toast at those insane speeds.
Yup, definitely don't want to crash! 😅😵 It's not for everyone, the upcoming Weped CT is a much more grounded machine.
*It can actually go faster. Top speed is claimed at 120 kph or 74.56 mph*
Genkuro Shuriken that’s so crazy. I haven’t had the road to do that yet, but I’ll have to find a place for it 😅
@@AlienRides WEPED CT is also already available here in the Philippines. A lot cheaper than the SS
Chris B. Same as on a motorcycle, people afraid of that should stick to xiome
Hey, if you accelerate from 0 with dual mode on, does the rear one also spin around?
It's hard to test, but I think the rear tire has enough traction and weight on it that it's doesn't spin. I'm pretty sure it's only the front.
75 MPH on a scooter designed with a rear axle nut shanked out a half thread...no thanks!
I’m not mechanical, how would you improve the rear axle design? Most scooters axles are simply secured with nuts with loctite.
@@AlienRidesmagnets
YOLO!
As easy as making the axle longer to protrude thru the nut!
So that’s gonna be a no from me dawg.
That's fair, it's not for everyone. Doesn't matter to me what people ride as long as you have fun. 👽🖖
Its 120 lbs, 25 heavier than the thunder.
Cool, didn't know how much exactly, just knew it was crazy heavy! 😅
Yeah for the weight it would be between the dual tron X and the thunder
7000 an you cant even take it in an out the house.......
Can the LED's be switched off? Hows its range compared to RE90. The SS has the perfect size imo
I believe you can turn off the LEDs. This should have similar range as the RE90.
are there any countries, where it´s legal to use this thing? definitly not where I live: in germany.
There's a few of them in the USA now, maybe we're lucky for now that the law isn't enforced much, and they're over the legal limit. Sad about Germany though, this thing would be amazing on the autobahn 😅
what is the legal limit for such things to use on walkways in the US and what´s the limit on roads and do u need any insurances or licence plates?
Karl Jacob definitely can’t use it on walkways, but it’s ok on roads. No need for plates or registration, yet.
70 is way to fast for scooter even 30 is dangerous on them
I agree, and yet I'm already looking for faster scooters! 😅
@@AlienRides hahahahahhah lol
YOLO!
Someone's gonna lose all their teeth on one of these
I'd be lucky if that's all I lost 😬
Theeth.... at 70mph, you’ll be in a full blown body cast like those in cartoons. I hope anyone buying and riding these dumb enough to go full speed fill out their organ donor cards.
Definatley need to equip a dampening system on this scooter
Yes, that would help a ton, a lot of people are modding it on.
Hello. Good evening. Dualtron X is More Confortable ?? and apart what is best for you Rion RE80 or weped SSR
@@AlienRidesThanks for the comment : ) dualtron X fast is more stable than weped ssr ?
Eleazar Morillo no, I think the ss is much more stable at speed actually.. the Dualtron X can be a bit hard to control after a bump at 50mph, and buck you off.
Sounds pretty safe.
Do your airbags deploy if you were to get into an accident at freeway speeds?
We want to at least have a few head bones in one piece so they can identify the body.
Lol, most importantly I just hope someone uploads the footage! ☠️
Clearly a rip off price, and you can't even sit down on it, most probably chinese will have one much more cheaper coming soon...
Yeah, it's expensive for sure, but I hope the prices come down in the future. They are working on a seat option though. No doubt the chinese clones are coming.
You lost your dam mind !! Or you will if you wreck that at 75 mph
Minds just keep you back from doing dumb fun stuff, I try to turn that off for the most part 😆
7 gran I rather buy a use car and use your girlfriend in the backseat.
A car is definitely more practical than this if you need one. My GF is my right hand and you can use her anytime ;-)
@@AlienRides am from 🇯🇲 and it kind a weird getting in these conversation so am out of here 👻
@@inchargenow320 Just a joke of course, but maybe not in 🇯🇲. 😅 Stay safe.
so how long do the motors last before replacing 2 years?
The motors actually last a surprisingly long time! They are very simple components, only copper wires and magnets. I can see them lasting 10 years or longer. Your battery will go before that, likely after 5-6 years, but you can replace everything as needed including the motors.
Hi Guys... Can some recommend a full face helmet that does NOT make me look like a bobble head? I ride a Wide Wheel Pro in NYC and I need something more low profile and lightweight
What do you think of the TSG helmets? I'm a pretty big fan of those.
