I just love the industrial design of the wepeds. And I've never heard of a weped breaking. Sure, some controllers have burned up, but nothing on the actual body. They're truly built like tanks.
This is exactly the video I was looking for. No stupid music, just the sound of the scooters and people having fun!
That snow sled analogy is perfectly put.. the feeling of PEVs is the definition of fun!!
you guys really pushed yourselves on these scooters pretty crazy.I think I would shit my pants.
Is this legit?
@@johnrichardson5089 I was thinking the same thing
Ive had a dualtron for maybe 5 years and there’s something about these scooters that cant be replaced really. You can go as fast as cars and go on roads in town. At red lights you can hop on sidewalks and keep going. You can go through parks and to places like St Louis arch is where i would go a lot. Motorcycles aren’t allowed. You can leave your house at 3am in the dark in complete silence wothout alerting a soul. They’re so quiet you’ll be rolling 30 mph and come up behind a dog who doesn’t know youre around until youre right next to him and the dog and its owner are scared to death when they see a vessel moving 30 mph right next to them all of a sudden. What I like to do at dark is go to quiet places with a great veiw of the sunset. The scooter has brought a sense of peace in my life being able to maneuver outdoors in that way and see so much and unplug and enjoy nature and some peace and quiet. A great way to look at real estate and explore new cities. I put mine and my daughter’s scooter in the van when we go on road trips to different cities.
This is beautiful, homie. I'm happy you're enjoying ypur life.
75MPH??? That is insane speed!!!
completely agree!
There's one that does 90 mph but at a cost of $8K USD
@@wileecoyote5749what's it called?
I can run faster lol
What's the braking distance at that speed?
The thrill of speeding on two wheels! That's what's I love! I'm slowly moving my way up in terms of speed. Can't wait to buy my very first 45 mph scooter soon! And then Eventually, the fateful day will come where I get to try a Weped. And it will be glorious!
What you end up getting?
@@Travis73917 just make your own hyper scooter if you can engineer it? There are waaayyy better parts and electronics out there !
Jimmy, FYI. Those Weped line up are actually carried by Numo. They were shared venture with Weped. Now Weped has their own line, started with Fold, FF, FS …. CyberFold and Dark knights CyberFold and scooter. Those SSR, SST, and GT50 are couple years old now. The FS is similar to those and has specs of 72V 50Ah with 40000 Watts.
He just spoke of my childhood dream. An endless hill...I too have purchased quite a few of these.
Too fast for me! I own a Dualtron Storm and after a year of owning it, I still ride in on ECO mode 80% of the time. Fastest I’ve had that to was around 45 mph before I chickened out. I usually cruise between 20-30 mph. Amazing what the wepeds can do. Great video!
I wouldnt want to go fast on a dualtron storm as it is plain unsafe. So many other scooters that go fast and feel much safer, Nami Burn -e and Now the Weped Dark knight is one I am ordering in the next week Once the liquid cooling is added in the final purchase. The WEPED Dark Knight goes 78mph with 16 inch tires that are 6 inches wide they are aweome
@@revolutionaries-Today the Weped dark knight looks like the best big scooter ever
@@revolutionaries-Today I haven’t been on many other scooters so I can’t really argue that. I can say the Dualtron feels rock solid and completely stable at the speeds I’ve gone. I wouldn’t want to go 70 on any scooter.
How many miles can you get out a full battery I wouldn’t go that fast but riding in downtown and back home this is ideal if it’s long range
@@izam1600 They claim 80 miles but it depends on how much you weigh and how fast you’re riding. I’ve gone 30 miles on it when I was doing a group ride and had about 50% charge left but the ride was at a slower pace.
For that price and with that much power those things need VESC Controllers. The brakes on the Wepeds are severely inadequate... there is no way they can repeatedly stop that scooter from high speed without overheating and warping. A VESC controller would let you do most of the braking from regen only which is far smoother and recharges your battery instead of overheating rotors and pads. The Wepeds are cool but I would have to choose a RION for that price.
Those wepeds are just insane.. Ginger on Wheels was scared out of his wits when he tried his one on loan lol.. Be very interested to see the Weped pitted up against it's nearest speed rival in the Rion RE90.. talk about an epic battle! Thanks for sharing as always guys. Really loved the video
Aways appreciate your support!
You are just over paying for the brand. You I and everyone else can build a 33kw scooter for less than 3500€
It takes 2 kelly controllers
72/80volts 60ah battery
2 7,5cm motors
and you are good to go.
Yeah rion has scooters that will kick weped's ass, their tronic controllers are epic. But they dont do big production runs like weped
Amazing vídeo
ginger on wheels was riding an even faster one, the fastest weped in fact, the fs. that thing hit 80 mph lolololol.
This video is a pleasure to watch!! 😍😁😻 Thanks Jimmy and Andrew! 💪🏻🤩
Glad you enjoyed it!
Way to go Andrew! Damn that was fast!
This was exhilarating...just watching this video. I can't imagine riding one of those beasts. Cheers.

You guys were having soooooo much fun....... I'm soooooo envious....... that's the best scooter video yet......😂 😂
Funnest video ever!! I've got the GTR and it scares the you know what out of me, can't imagine these things. I do struggle a little with the square profile of the tires and have a set of PMT's ready to install but have seen it's a big job even WITH the split rim design, hope to muster up the energy to do the swap, stock tires are badass looking though... Great vid!!
Holy freakin a those are wild! I like Dan. The one I'd want on a road trip. Just drag stripping at top speeds everywhere lol.

Awesome video guys. Great footage. You guys are living the life.
there is a new model out called: dark knight. those weped scooters are crazy!!!
I’m guessing in about 5 years we will look at videos like this and laugh at how 75mph was such a huge deal. Awesome video
The first cars were steam and went 4mph
Great video! Weped is insane.
we need more content like this. more high end scooters to open peoples eyes to the ability of this form of transportation. people still think scooters only last for 10 miles and only go 12 mph its ridiculous. its just like tesla man, everyone thought electric cars sucked until tesla came out with their banger model s that won every award possible for a car. the best way to attract people to a product or a type of product is with an absolute banger. segways, inmotions and xiamis are maybe wat most people need only but for people to actually direct their attention to something, it has to be eye-popping. WEPED is eye-popping, RION is the eye-popper of eye-popping in this industry.
u should see people's reaction even today when i tell them what a mere zero 10x can do lolololol, imagine how they would react to these weped goliaths!
No they hate it. They hate scooter/euc since they are not toys anymore and it will take over their privileged lane. There are still massive Tesla haters
@@kiraasuka9943 well all the cycling karens and tesla haters can all go eat a big one, thats what i say!
there will always be haters no matter what so long as society allows parasites to exist but the point is progress with these pev's and overall electric transportation and to those who are open minded and willing to accept new and better things, these high end scooters are perfect for grasping the attention of such folks
@@kiraasuka9943 Tesla deserved little respect with their anti RTR approach. I love that major car companies are finally offering ev's with decent range
I find it weird when people don't know anything about scooters will ask "how many hours does it last" and claim that their buddies scooter last 8 hours. I heard it from a few people. And I tried to explain to them that its measured better by miles depending on eco or not. But people don't listen to me, still in the belief "8 hours". And this other guy that wants to get a scooter said he has been waiting for 6 months and still waiting for a scooter and the battery last 8 hours and goes 15mph.... 8 hours? Maybe 8 miles.
@@AuRowe tesla deserves little respect??
how high were u when u wrote that???
tesla is the reason why all the legacy companies r running around like headless chickens trying to design electric cars.

A LOT of people have a lust for life. 99.9% of those people just can't afford that lust.
Those are some insane speeds. I'm more like you Jimmy, wanting to hit those speeds wrapped up in a nice comfy cage surrounding me, you know, in a car.
Definitely not your kid's scooters, for sure. Wow.
You got that right!
Your comment truly sums up this 🚀🛴. It is definitely in a class by itself.
The toy that keeps on giving SMILE!!!!!
Have you guys seen videos of the weped Dark Knight? They look badass! I dont think they sell them here in the states yet.
He's so right about the grin and smile when riding one 😂
Does it wobble due to the sheer speed? The top speed? Or does it just look more wobbly because it's on camera. I feel like my wolf warrior 11 is super solid and no wobble whatsoever and that only has 11x3.5 tires.
At least with every previous "20kw+" weped the battery has never been enough to actually deliver that kind of power, the weped SST battery for example can barely put out 15kw and thats with pulling 20A from 10A cells.
Brilliant review guys
I have a Weped FS - as said a number of times in this, they are just insanity on 2 wheels..... The front wheel just spins at almost all speeds. Currently I've had mine up to 115km per hour in 2nd gear, I question whether there is a need for the 3rd gear on these as the first two are just stupidly crazy already.
It's so well built, rides nicely for something that doesn't really have suspension, the gokart tyres take a little getting used to, I'll swap mine out for PMTs in the near future. Never will I sell this, mine currently is the only one here in Australia. Though more are coming......
Like ginger on wheels said 'just try it, it's a life changing experience '

I see weped is playing with liquid cooling on the dark knights and cyberfolds, maybe their burning up and weped had to come up with a solution
@@Maltmeister1 no, no burning up, it's just to keep the controllers from getting too hot and the batteries from overheating due to the controllers. Just like you would a computer to keep it cool under pressure.

My DIY e-bike (closer to a dirtbnike than a nicycle) is 33,600W.. 168V 200A. but on 27" tires.. 70mph is my normal cruising speed. lol. The qs273 50H 4T is an absolute monster. My scooter is 6000W (dual 3kw) (Xplor Odyssey). I loved it, i still do. But the tiny 13x5 inch tires were dangerous at those speeds. once i finished my ebike and i felt what this much power plus large tires fealt like, i was instantly hooked. I havent ridden my scooter since.

It might survive a little sprinkling of rain as you run for cover but I wouldn't push your luck.

RIP to first time riders who think they can handle 40-70mph on E-scooters
This is professional level stuff. NOT for first time riders.
Very true. I have a scooter that goes 15.6mph and it was scary just getting used to it going that fast the first time I tried it in the city. I couldn’t ever imagine how crazy fast this is considering I gotta slowdown going down hill sometimes. Now I’ve ridden it so long I could go on one that maybe goes 25 but never this
@Rengawr I sometimes think PLEV peer pressure plays a role in things; being encouraged to ride faster and faster than what you're comfortable with. Kinda like how some look down on 24mph Esk8 models; because 'theirs' does 30-40mph and call it a 'toy'.
I went from a Lime to a Dark Knight Weped within 3 months. I now race professionally for eSC. There was no learning curve. Stop telling people they can't do something when it's as easy as doing it.
What about someone who rides 250kmph motorcycles?
O.M.G.!!! 😲😛🤓🤩 Soo fun!!
Imagine the reactions you'd get riding this on the freeway.
The cop would take you directly to jail, and impound the scooter.
😱 Wow!!!. ang Bilis!!!.
the performance is crazy, but it really isnt possible for it to sustain 30kw in any manner, not even 20kw,the batteries are samsungs 21700 50E that can output a maximum of 10 Amps each, thats 42 watts per cell since the max voltage of the cell is 4.2v,they use 180 of those cells, that means a maximum power output of 180*42=7560w,thats not even mentioning the cable would burn even if the cells could do it,dont get me wrong thats still crazy fast if it pulls that off, still one of the fastest scooters available, also even if both of those things somehow managed to work out,the battery is 3600Wh,which could sustain 30 000w for about 7 minutes :D. anyways cool vid, this scooter is comparable to a european scooter we have here named nami burn-e. its very similarily powered with better suspension and real performance.
Yeah what they did is 200A * 84V * 2 controllers = 33600W ... first, the voltage is gonna sag on the throttle ... but your math, that's not how it calculates either, 10A each and 9P so total 9P * 10A * 72V = only 6480W, though it can probably sustain 1.5-2x that for a bit. The amp rating is related to the life cycle (discharge/recharge) rating. Lean on them harder, battery wears out faster and won't meet the rated cycles.
@@xorbe2 even if the batteries could sustain 3x that would barely be half
I saw someone zoomed by in a WEPED this morning, don't know which model, and holy shit, dude was riding so fast I thought he's going to Mars. I was just chilling at the coffee shop with my weak ass Dualtron mini going "holy mother of God".
I want to see a Weped vs a Rion, Jimmy make that happen!!! Okay!!
Rions are hard to track down. I've only ever seen one in real life once, and no one was allowed to ride it.
@@freshlycharged Wow, Okay. I guess they are, True. I've pretty much only seen Alienrides with them
What app are you using for measuring the speed?
You probably get better performance after a couple minutes, because the lithium battery warms up and sustains a higher voltage (less sag) under load.
6:35 - What’s that mean?! is that normal? Or are you doing something wrong? If it’s not normal how close does it need to be repaired and how dangerous is it? Is it because you were on the wrong setting as you said a few seconds earlier?
