Sounds like the perfect ebike for someone in a big city that could take it on a subway, bus, etc and use it to go that last mile. Even if you parked a bit further out and used it to go a mile at 12mph that's a lot better than walking!

For me, based on what you’ve estimated for mileage, in my town, it could easily get me to work and back all week and maybe a trip into the town centre too before a recharge. I think for people like myself who live in smaller places, it would be great.

My jobs an my home are all 2.2 miles from each other. Works great for ME and MY NEEDs. Prob not best for others who need to travel far
When I lived in Shenzhen about a decade ago, I used a similar ebike. It was perfect for my daily commute, and it fit in the elevator as you mentioned. It was perfect. Too bad they don't sell them stateside for a reasonable price.
You can get bikes like this from Dyu, Dohiker, Jetson, Fiido or other rebrands of the above. Maybe for ~50-100USD more than in Shenzhen. I've got a Dyu rebrand (Jetson) and love zipping around the city with it. I think I got it for 270 bucks refurbed.

Most e-bikes and e-scooters from China come pre set in a beginner/ insurance friendly power limitation. Most can be taken out of this mode by using a combination involving the power button. Might be the case with this one, give it a Google and see you can get it some more juice lol
and seems to work by itself, you don't need to pedal at all for it to assist you, so you don't get tired. Another very good advantage over electric scooter is you can put your legs on the ground if you get unbalanced. On a e-scooter you have greater chance of falling, especially at low speed.
20 years ago I had a Chinese bicycle, 3 speed. It was well made. It also had a decal in Chinese and in English which said " Bicycle Is My Good Friend". 🐼😸
That rear fender being askew really bugged me LOL. Yeah, I know it's a 15 second fix. That's why it bugged me. :-) Looks like a cool little bike for smaller people who would take it on a train etc. Not so much for 6'2"/188cm 210lb/95kg me.

Just purchased a $857 e-bike made in China named the IconBit K220. I am charging it now. It says it can handle 120 kg of weight. Fearfully that is my exact weight. At any rate it appears to have size with fat tires and also folds. My plan was to commute back and forth from the two cities up and down the main highway. One is 1.5 miles one way and the other approximately 15 minutes by car. I am a newbie so my experiences will be learning ones. I caught on to your video to see how reliable a Chinese e-bike is. It has Shimano brakes?
@notfiveo Now that sounds like a pretty good idea you have! I'm about to move and an e-bike just fits with my new conditions. What kit/system did you use for the conversion? There are many out there and I'm in the middle of making my decision.
The charger is wonderful. But when that lubricated chain gets just a little use. You'll need a glove to avoid black fingers. It looks about the same size as the little yellow folding bike you did a video on. Except just a bit more comfortable faster, capable, cheaper and durable.

If it were $300 or under I would go for it. I don't think I'm willing to pay over 300 including shipping and tax. I wish I could find one like this for around that price cuz it would be perfect for that cuz I definitely can't do the walk of the way to the beach or the bus stop. Thanks for doing this. You've got my eyes and ears open and on the hunt for something like this. That's affordable. Hello mate, that bike would perhaps be ideal for sticking in the boot of the car or caravan when camping, allowing you to nip off site to the shops. Where about in the USA did you make the video? Apart from using the wrong side of the road, that looked like the countryside and climate where I live (Midlands, UK). Cheers.
if that was a USA price, then they would sell well I would want one. I hopped up an Electric Punk and while I gave it full suspension it lacks pedals and did cost more.
Thx for the review. Cool ebike...... but can you charge the battery 🔋 by manual cycling? How about the issue of changing the super tiny tyres later on?? They are not commonly available, right??

COOL little Ebike. Absolutely freaked out over the power cord/charger. Curious about the battery. Yah, $360 is great, although close to the top we should pay. Great to have friends in China..!;!
So do electric scooters also come uncharged since they have similar sized batteries? I was thinking it died on the long sea voyage over from China. Heck I could likely scoot around people on the sidewalk easily since again the bike being so small. Where some of those monster EBikes would I think be a real problem on sidewalks. How much does it weigh?
Nice job with this video. I think you went a bit too quickly to "My friend in China forget to ship me the charger." But your happy discovery saved the day (and the blame). Thanks.
If you think about though, this would be a good camp bike, so if you're camping you probably don't want to tear down the entire campsite to go to the store a few miles for some groceries or whatever. I just wish it was another 5km/h faster so you could go 25km/h or around 15mph it would have been just that ever so slightly more useful. Maybe it can be modified. A 250w motor will easily handle 25km/h.
Looks like my little Jetson Bolt ... which I used to commute to and from work through the nasty Canadian winter. Because it's so small I could be in full control and could ride in the worst road conditions. ie snow/ice knowing I could just put my feet down to stop any slip. Kind of like a BMX. Also it's so small that my employer doesn't mind me parking it inside at work, which I could never do with a regular sized bike. Yeah, it doesn't go too far or too fast ... but it beats walking any day! :)
I think for $361 it's a nice little bike to commute in towns with, I think more people need to switch to bikes of any type, especially those in city's.
A durability test might be interesting..ride it a little every day, in all kinds of weather. Switching power supplies usually aren't too fussy about input voltage. Anywhere from 95 to 300 volts AC will do. Odd that it came with a US plug if it was meant for the Chinese market. It looks kinda fun...
Couple quick questions… What is the peak power on this motor? If one was to configure say a 72V 20Ah battery with an appropriate controller, would the bike perform fine? Is that a silly question or something one could trial?
The bike chassis can handle those power levels without issue i know an italian dude that has 22Ah 72v battery on his himo v1 and 50A smart controller on a 1500w rear motor
I've been to china a few times and these things, and others like it, are ubiquitous. Inexpensive and each manufacturer is eager to impress so things are constantly improving.
There's certainly a niche for a bike like this. But the thing is that niche could often be filled just as well by a normal folding bike. Nevertheless pretty cool for the price!
I don't know about Florida, but when we assemble a bicycle here in Tasmania, we use things called Tools. Maybe the range would be better if you used those things on the side, they're called Pedals.
@@bradleycasady9810 Wheel size plays a big part in ride comfort. The smaller the wheel diameter is the more it drops into a crack or hole in the riding surface. Therefore causing more shock to travel through the frame of the bike. You can mitigate some of this with less tire pressure, but then you reduce handling and add resistance to your rolling speed.
@@lxh22 Sorry for being picky but this legal aspect is actually very important (you could be in very deep shit in case of an accident!) and completely ignored in this video. it's not because it drives below the limit (25 km/h) that it's street legal! ;-) In most countries, (motor) vehicles have to be certified for the street and I assume it's also the case for Finland.- Since there is no official importer for this bike, no one has done the certification (my guess).
I am still searching for one online that can be folded. Commute is free to take with you on trains that (folded) way in Holland. I think $260 is a steal. Love that orange. Guess a Li-Ion battery pack upgrade is easy with that large case in the middle.

Cute backup bike for quick errands, sometimes my efat bike feels huge around crowds
eBike Photographer same here. But mostly people just overreact.
I ride a Felt Lebowsk-e.
Would be a great bike for a college student at a sprawling campus like The University of Texas in Austin.
HOOK' EM ! 🤘

UT orange lol
Mooooooooo! Go cows
Make Austin, Texas again!
commie-fornians go home!
It seemed you never loosened the seat clamp when you inserted the seat post.
I think for $361 it's a nice little bike to commute in towns with, I think more people need to switch to bikes of any type, especially those in city's.
bet the mall cops would love to have one of those lol
Doug king of queens .
@@fishfire_2999 hahaha he can't put it together haha now send looking for a Chinese to do the jobs
Note that "xiao" in Chinese means "small".
What about mi

A durability test might be interesting..ride it a little every day, in all kinds of weather. Switching power supplies usually aren't too fussy about input voltage. Anywhere from 95 to 300 volts AC will do. Odd that it came with a US plug if it was meant for the Chinese market.
It looks kinda fun...
maybe friend told maker the destination .
Enjoyed the review and now for the weird question. Where did you get your boots??? Dig them.
Couple quick questions…
What is the peak power on this motor?
If one was to configure say a 72V 20Ah battery with an appropriate controller, would the bike perform fine?
Is that a silly question or something one could trial?
The bike chassis can handle those power levels without issue i know an italian dude that has 22Ah 72v battery on his himo v1 and 50A smart controller on a 1500w rear motor
The driest chain I have ever seen, still for the money it does a job.
If it was oiled it would mess up the charging cable bag and you'd get dirty each time you would want to recharge.
Dry lube
K-Y jelly will lube it right up!
I've been to china a few times and these things, and others like it, are ubiquitous. Inexpensive and each manufacturer is eager to impress so things are constantly improving.
On the expense of abused employees.
haha yeah i agree slavery is so rad
There's certainly a niche for a bike like this. But the thing is that niche could often be filled just as well by a normal folding bike. Nevertheless pretty cool for the price!
I don't know about Florida, but when we assemble a bicycle here in Tasmania, we use things called Tools. Maybe the range would be better if you used those things on the side, they're called Pedals.
Does it fit guys over 5'7"?
He's over 5'7
Thank you 🙏🏻 for giving us a solid insight as it relates to this mini e bike.
Great review 👍🏻
Yep, good honest review. Thanks
You know it's quality when it arrives in a colour coded box.
Xiaomi products are pretty awesome. I love everything I have from them
Do you have the link where you buy for 261USD? I mean, the price that I found is like 400USD
Try the Jeston Bolt Pro at Costco if you live in the USA.
I'm getting an ebike this week for commuting to and from work I have been learning a lot watching your videos so thanks p.s New subscriber
Going to be a rough ride with those small wheels.
Most scooters have less than 10 inches ... at the speeds it is meant for it'll be good enough :)
12 is standard for these
It's not the wheel size that makes it a rough ride. The tire size and air pressure makes it hard or soft ride.

Right on. I'ma put some 26 inch wheels on my mo-ped.

I have himo c20, from Aliexpress under 600€, I love it! 😁
Where do you drive it? Is it street legal in your country? :)
@@PixelSheep Finland. Max allowed speed is 25kmh, so yes its street legal 😁
Hahahaha you are gay then
@@lxh22 Sorry for being picky but this legal aspect is actually very important (you could be in very deep shit in case of an accident!) and completely ignored in this video.
it's not because it drives below the limit (25 km/h) that it's street legal! ;-) In most countries, (motor) vehicles have to be certified for the street and I assume it's also the case for Finland.- Since there is no official importer for this bike, no one has done the certification (my guess).

I am still searching for one online that can be folded. Commute is free to take with you on trains that (folded) way in Holland. I think $260 is a steal. Love that orange. Guess a Li-Ion battery pack upgrade is easy with that large case in the middle.
Please I live in Canada how to buy this bike
Your back tire is flat or you would go farther and faster.
Right. They are shipped partly flat so they don't pop in shipping.
Perfect last miler. Park get to work charge up with the cord reverse

@tubetardism 20/20 wow you really don't have a lot of empathy do you? I don't even have a car but what about people with say knee injuries?
@tubetardism 20/20 or a disabled or older person who has occasional knee problems
Broooo you review bikes, you gotta have your own set of Allen keys 😂
Hi could you recommend an e bike for someone disabled? I have MS and can't walk well due to lack of control of my left leg. I can't even push off on an E Scooter. I loved the Segway Mini but it's kinda too easy to fall on it. I need something small like this that I can lift into my car, but I want it to also be a decent comfortable ride. I'm also looking into E-Wheels.
Cute little bike, what would you suggest for my 8 mile round trip to work 😀
