"Beautiful Thing" remains my favorite gay film. It and Shelter were among the first films I watched when I came out and they both helped me come to terms with it. I loved it so much that I bought the DVD, the playbook, and the movie script.

Ditto for both movies. I just watched Shelter yesterday and thanks to the snow storm and your post, I'll watch Beautiful Thing today. The sentimental value of both movies are immeasurable for me.
Beautiful Thing still wins the list for me. The cinematography is beyond visually chic, the soundtrack relevantly suits in every scene. Shot in beautiful London and obviously with beautiful casts. 😊

"Beautiful Thing" is a wonderful film that I've watched several times and always recommend. It suffers a bit because it's based on a play and, while i think the director did what he could, it still has that "stage play adaptation" feel to it. The scene at the end always brings warm fuzzies to my heart.
"Is It Just Me" is also another good one I've seen at least twice.
"More Than Only" was also good though a little weird since I didn't see how the two leads would be attracted to each other but I suspended my disbelief and it turned out to be ok.
I've watched "The Falls" Trilogy so many times! The commitment to the character the filmmaker and actors display makes it a trilogy I return to again and again, often watching the entire series at once.
I haven't seen the rest of them but may check them out at some point.

Were The World Mine is so beautiful, i watch it in junior high and now i'm in art university majoring theatre, Were The World Mine introduce me to Midsummer Night Dream play, inspiring me to translate the play into my nation language and show it to my whole campus, its so beautiful thanks to Were The World Mine

Pride (2014) was based on a true story and definitely my favorite movie in this list. I just love everything about it.

Thank you for making this excellent video. Two of my favorite LGBTQ movies, _Beautiful Thing_ and _More Than Only,_ were included in the list. I have also seen _Is it Just Me?_ and _Trick,_ which I feel are not nearly as good as the first two but are worth watching. The information given in this video is very useful and I appreciate it. However, I will point out that in _Beautiful Thing,_ Ste is the one with the abusive father, not Jamie. I find that these "Rainbow Mood" videos are very helpful in helping me decide what I want to watch.
A recent movie that I truly enjoy is _The Christmas Setup,_ starring Ben Lewis and his husband Blake Lee. It is an extremely light-hearted "Hallmark-type" movie (not actually made by Hallmark) and might not be enjoyed by people who want an LGBTQ movie with a heavy plot .

I've seen all of these movies and it would be impossible to say which one is the best. I enjoyed them all very much. Maybe "The Falls Trilogy" could be my fav. but really all are touching and done well.

Can you make a list of series that have a happy ending, but not Asian series and not movies, it doesn't have to be the main character, the important thing is a happy ending like Ben and Jed in the Legacy series.

'Beautiful Thing' doesn't belong on THIS list. It is exceptional. The others are crap.
That is pretty harsh. Some are pretty good, some are crap. But....not in the league with 'Beautiful Thing.'
