I'm a person who rarely watches a movie more than once--unless it's to introduce it to a friend(s). But I've watch Red, White, and Royal Blue four times and it still entertains me tremendously. It makes me laugh (a lot) and occasionally cry. There is nothing too deep about it, but I love the plot, the themes, and the actors--they're adorable (and super handsome!). I may never stop watching this movie. lol Silly, I guess, but I love it. 🙂
All are excerllent choices but Red White and Royal Blue is head and shoulders above the others - IMHO. I've lost count of the number of times that I've watched it. The only other one of my favorite "happy ending" movies is "Big Eden". You may have mentioned it in another video.
Have you checked out "Shelter"? I loved Red White & Royal Blue as well, Big Eden too, but Shelter is still far and away my favourite happy-ending gay movie. I just really loved the characters in it, especially the lead, with his soulful stoicism and all :)
I like The Falls Trilogy. I've watched them many times and still enjoy its good story line with excellent chemistry between two main characters! ❤ Happy ending too! 😊
There are also some other really great gay movies with happy endings: British drama romance God's Own Country (2017) is terrific, classic romcom The Thing About Harry (2020), two Christmas romance films: Dashing in December & The Christmas Setup (2020), Brazilian coming-of-age romance The Way He Looks (2014), and an older favourite of mine: Shelter (2007) - all highly recommended for different reasons.
Im a straight women who probably has seen over 100 lgbtq themed movies and tv shows and ive met actors randy Harrison gale Harold (Qaf) and german actor Jo weil (verbotene liebe)
It's nice to see some of my favourite movies "Pride" included in this list. One movie not listed... and I wouldn't particularly say it was a gay movie, far from it. Though there is a Trans character revealed at the end and this is "Billy Elliot" I mention this because I have often watched Billy Elliot and Pride back to back. The harsh thread which runs through - connects both movies is the Miners Strike. It's impact on Margaret Thatchers, Britain and the working classes or the events to come like Section 28 which followed both movies in harsh reality. Living overseas it's interesting there's no actually connection between either movie, yet when you view both the reveal a harsh reality of UK life at the time, and fortunately both have a feel good ending.
You lovely, lovely man/woman/other! I requested exactly this in a comment to a previous video --- well, specifically, to let us know whether the featured movies ended happily or gut-punched us with some melodramatic tragedy out of nowhere like _so many_ gay movies have done to me --- and your next video features movies with happy endings! I have no idea if this was in part inspired by my comment, but regardless, thank you so much! One movie you absolutely must take a look at (and potentially include in many future lists) is "Shelter", to this date my favourite gay movie (with a happy ending!)
Yass, so happy to read this comment ❤️ Shelter is def the best one, we mentioned it on our another videos “Best Gay Movies of Early 2000s” video please check it out ❤️ you might find similiar movies to Shelter 🔥
@@TheRainbowsMood Awesome! Yeah you all have great taste (... with the _one_ exception of "Bros", which I found irritating and preachy) --- can I ask what your favourite gay movie is/are?
These people Didn’t die out while feeding the hungry... they died while living a FUTILE life ... The richest king said🤴🏻 “The greatest futility!” says the congregator, The greatest futility! I haven't heard of cousins and pride but I've seen the others except fire island. I love rwrb I've seen it over 50 times but the book is much better and more than only is incredible I've seen that many times and the mini series on UA-cam. Didn't like Bros even though a huge Luke MacFarlane fan. And wasnt a fan if 4th man out
The American character in Red White and Royal Blue annoyed me so much that I couldn't even finish this film. I think I stopped watching about a quarter of the way into it. Although I still have not seen Fire Island yet, the rest of the films in this group are pretty good. My particular stand-out favorites were Handsome Devil and Breaking Fast, which I thought was hilarious and relatable in the real world.

I recently found Out of Body on Prime. It is a gay supernatural comedy. Low budget, but great none the less.
Thanks for recommending Cousins - I just watched it & it's really fun. A solid indie movie, I liked it a lot!

Very very great list I like it a lot very very great job 😊❤ love is love
Yass
You're very welcome
Despite its many flaws ( low budget, uneven script and some bad acting) one of my favorite gay films is 1999s Broadway Damage
The thing about harry should be mentioned
