Cape Jervis NIGHT FISHING for Tommies (Australian Herring) | Bait & Burley | Fishing South Australia

- Now that we are starting to get into the cooler part of the year for us South Australians I thought why not get out and try for some Tommies (Australian Herring). I headed down to Cape Jervis and managed to get there bang on dusk, which is prime time for my targeted species. The fishing was fun but a little on the slow side considering just how hard Tommies can bite during their "prime time" but I still managed a feed of good fish!
This is the first time I have actually tried filming a night time fish and even though the quality of the video isn't the greatest due to lack of light, I thought it was still worth while uploading the video. I have now found some settings to change on the camera for the next Night time fish and have come up with a plan to light the area I'm fishing. I can't wait for the warmer months now as it can be a lot of fun catching fish at night!

Caught some really big Tommies off the jetty but they were really strong tasting....to the point in not being pleasant.

Hi! Burley is an attractant you can use to get fish into the area you are fishing. It can be made up of fish oils, pellets, bread etc
