Haven't heard from you for a while hope you are well
Hi .... can you tell me the best time to go to Thompson beach fishing , thank you 👍
Nice work again! great being out on the water fishing, isn't it? Hopefully wont be too long before the YFW show up. I've never been to Thompson's Beach, what's it like there, is it easy to get to, park car etc? Do you have to walk out far and can you fish anywhere once there or specific areas you need to go. Thanks so much :)
Thompson’s Beach is a massive tidal sand flat so there is a fair amount of walking involved. It’s easy to get to, just follow the signs when you turn off the highway to enter Dublin and I’ve never had a problem finding a park there. I’ve fished along the weed line, small drainage areas and the main channel and have found the bigger fish in the channels until the tide really starts to fill the sand flats again and then you can find them just about everywhere.
@@scaledupfishing2122 Thanks for that mate, might have to head down there one day soon and have a look around.
@@SB-fd1kv it’s worthwhile! Make sure to take a crab rake with you if you like your crabs!
@@scaledupfishing2122 Thanks, that's a good idea, could rake for crabs on low tide then fish on rising tide.
Love watching this guys videos 🤙
Hello, are there beach worms to catch at this beach?
Always puffers in thick numbers at Thompson's, bastards!
Not the greatest fishing session in the world but I still had a good day out! Just remember, the average days make the good days better!
How good is South road these days in comparison to what it was?
Thanks for the video.
@@oldbloke204 totally agree! Cuts out a lot of travel time which means more time for fishing!🐟🦑
@@scaledupfishing2122 Yeah agreed.
We are North of the city with family in the
Southern suburbs and it makes it a breeze to get there now.
I haven't been to Thompsons for years but a mate of mine gets there every now and again.
@@oldbloke204 it has been worth while waiting for that road upgrade!
I like getting out to Thompson’s when I can but I also like fishing my old stomping grounds around Marino to Brighton.
@@scaledupfishing2122 Strangely enough we actually lived at Marino and Brighton for a while years back.
Marino rocks fish and chip shop on the water was the best.
I'm hoping to get to another place I used to go when younger soon but it is looking a bit like the person I was going to go with may pull out.
Want to get back to blowhole creek and spend 4-5 days in the Deep Creek national park.
