Urgh, this is why I want NG+ so badly. Go back and have all the gigs and missions to replay and really test out all these builds. And just completely terrify everyone with Blackwall Gateway. Love that hack.

@@drkilledbydeath87 they already know. They don't want to add it because, as they say, it would involve rethinking all of the drops and bosses, missions even. If you are on PC, you actually can do it using a mod that works very well and it's just tons of fun. Cyberpunk like most RPGs really shines through its mod community, which is a shame for console players.
Why are you acting like there is nothing to do by the time you hit max level. There's now enough content in the game to hit max level nearly twice over. Meaning, you can reach level 60 and still have about 30-40% of quests, gigs and NCPD hustles left to clear around the map. Plenty of enemies to practice your Blackwall build. Just need to start PL early'ish so you can get the Canto deck.
@@BL00DYME55 I beat the whole game months before PL came out. After I did that, there’s nothing left to do besides the car stealing missions, races, and the final mission over and over.
I love the Rippler. In this game you can play aggressively without Sandy or a cyberdeck, taking everyone out with throwing knives or a suppressed Pride/Her Majesty before they can fully aggro, but when they do, or when stealth isn't an option, you can throw a smoke/pop Optical Camo, sprint in with a katana with the Chimera mod, slice some fools up, pop Overclock in the middle of the group you baited in, automatically hitting them with Reboot Optics & Weapon Glitch, then almost infinitely decimate literally everything on the map with it. So fun and satifying.

@@ThinkingCap_ I can't post the build planner on here, but I run 16 Body (basically just to get Adrenaline Rush & related perks), 15 Reflex (for Air Dash & the Blades finishers), 15 Tech (License to Chrome & Health Freak being priority), 15 Cool (for Deadeye & Juggler and its related perks), & 20 Intelligence (with Queue Mastery & Spillover, and nothing in the smart weapons tree, prioritizing Blood Daemon & everything that buffs damage, upload speed & RAM recovery). Aso, it's a late game build, so I'm right at the cyberware cap with Axolotl, COX-2 Cybersomatic Optimizer, Feen-X, RAM Recoup, and Cogito Lattice being the priority for Overclock to last as long as there are enemies to kill, throwing Synapse Burnout then as many Cyberware Malfunctions you can queue after it for the 40% damage buff from the Rippler. As long as you're killing people while you're in Overclock (especially with Synapse Burnout) you keep extending its time. Sorry for the novel lol, enjoy!

There seems to be some confusion in the community about COGITO LATTICE- It Only increases the armor of the Cogito Lattice itself by 240%, not your entire armor number.
So much like your "Bad Choices" videos, i suddenly realized i had been using the wrong cyberdeck (for my playstyle) for half the game on my first playthrough. I also never quite got the hang of figuring out which spot on the 2x4 grid corresponded to which spot on the quickhack list, just for lack of stopping a moment and experimenting. Thanks for the guide, I jsut started my second playthrough and I'll definitely gonna reference this once i get some more points.
Near as i can tell, whenever you upgrade your deck or a quickhack in it, you need to set the whole thing back up from empty or it scrambles the whole list. Otherwise, it tracks top left column down, top right column down.
Forget half of what i jut said, every time you upgrade your deck you need to reinstall everything. And the ORDER, not location determines where in the menu they end up. First thing you install is on the bottom. So if you like a particular hack or combo on top of the list put it back in after everything else, and if you want a particular combo on the bottom of the list (for quickly scrolling up to it, then uninstall everything and start with those.
One thing to note is that Axolotl/Newton Module also work on passive cooldown Cyberware, so things like Self-Ice, RAM Reallocator, Synaptic Accelerator, ect will also benefit from it. I'd say due to how quickly you can kill with netrunning the Newton module (not axolotl which might need to much cyberware capacity) is better than the Self-Ice or in some cases the Ex disk. Especially in the shadowrunner build using the Newton module to replace Ex-Disk since you will also make sure cloak will be on lower cooldown.

Okay, starting my 7th playtrough yesterday and i wantt to play a Netrunner again (mostly played Sandy Shotgun builds). The Crowdkiller build looks awesome, i will check this out. Thank you Choom.
I've been using the Raven Microcyber with an Overclock > System Collapse > Sonic Shock chain. Spreads often, uploads quickly/simultaneously, keeps health and RAM regenerating, and it's untraceable. Spec 20 in Body, Int, and Tech, 11 Cool, and 10 Reflexes, including the entire middle tree in Body for Adrenaline perks. Adrenaline Rush will trigger off the initial Overclock and quickhacks. Monowire and a Palica in case you feel like going loud - Palica is obscene with the smartgun and shotgun perks. Synapse Burnout is your long range damage dealer if System Collapse won't neutralize the target or you don't feel like popping Overclock.
Love these videos - incredibly useful references as it’s a bit of a pain in the bum discovering (and then remembering) all this information organically through gameplay.

The black wall gateway in the right order and turning on overclock at the right time can end combat before it even begins.

I've just started netrunning and this is exactly what I needed, THANK YOU
After trying out your Militech Canto build I am once again suggesting Axoltol over Ram Reallocator. Axoltol gives three major Quality of Life benefits for the build. One being when you run out of overclock (after combat or messing up/running out of small targets to Synapse Burn) you can easily pick off one or two targets and get back right into your feedback loop. Two, When you gain CD back from Axoltol while in Overclock it increases the current duration of Overclock allowing for both more rooms to make mistakes/evade in fights/or lock down with Control Quick hacks AND this stacks with Synapse Burn's duration increase. 3 It works on every other cyberwear, including blood pump which allows for more heals which means more hacks which then feeds back into itself; even allowing you to drop some of the defensive cyberwear in favor of Optical Camo (and the breif combat reset it gives you). And you gain all of this at the low cost of a RAM boost when you're low....which is when you're going into overclock and RAM matters less.
And on top of everything else, lets be honest with ourselves here. If you're running the Canto you want to be in overclock pumping out Gateways. This allows you to do it easier and more often. In massive fights (think Maxtac/etc) instead of having to put out a gateway or two (with que stacking allowing multiple) into spamming Synapse to keep overclock up until those gateways fade you can just put out as many Gateways as you phsyically can, and then watch your health jump back up as bloodpump comes back off CD. AND if you run low, Synpase+Axoltol gives 10+ seconds over clock back.
I just finished an evil netrunner build based around the Canto Mk 6. It’s probably the most fun I’ve ever had with this game

Rippler has also been great for a non-netrunner build I've been running. Using a shotgun focused body/tech/reflex build, instead of compressor, I went with rippler for the bonus ram and weapon damage. It's very good at adding a bit of versatility to the build with a quick malfunction, cripple movement, or overheat here and there. Works great at softening up boss type enemies.

Something important you guys should know, the axolotl is a brain cyberware which has the effect of reducing cooldown of all other cyberware by 7.5%. In a build where you’re killing enemies in mass (especially the tetratronic purerunner or raven crowedkiller builds at the end) having it synergize with ram reallocator is an insane strat i would definitely try out.
Also, if i were doing the purerunner build, i would ignore cool and focus on maxxing out body and tech. Max body and tech allows you to get the perk which turns kills into reduced health item time. Then just slap on bio-mon and bloodpumps and you’ll be set for the rest of the game. Its infinitely more valuable than anything the cool tree can give you

I think this is one of my favourite build videos of yours. I really like the idea of finding the most fitting build for each operating system and wish, you could make more videos like that, perhaps next time finding the best build for each Berserk variant.
I also have a question: do you have to make new savefiles for each build or do you have some mods that remove the limit for how many times you can reset all of your attributes?

My favorite way to play before Contagion got patched was sneaking and uploading it through cameras, letting it spread, then using a monowire and smart pistol as backups only if I got caught or had to fight a boss. It seems like the closest thing would be the Raven Fatal Virality build but there's no emphasis on sneaking and uploading through those cameras. God of Machines is the other closest one so maybe somehow combining them would be the answer. I'm not super great at making builds myself so this video helps for what I want to do.

For blood daemon, if you upload a cheap 2 ram hack (iconic sonic shock for example) and then the blackwall hack, whilst you’re scanning upload the same hacks to 3 other enemies (4 total). That way the blackwall quickhack spreads to ~4 enemies at the same time!

Something I roll with is what I call, the Net-Assisted Solo build. I spec more into my guns, but have a Raven installed with Contagion and more debilitating non-lethal programs. It may not give me the most out of focusing on gunplay and netrunning, but it lets me to get into the action my way without neglecting the more entertaining aspects of combat.

The Crowdkiller could also be "Ravens Call", as ravens circle where death is going to or has happened. Plus it neatly ties in with the name of the deck.

I run a sort of Netslinger build, combining 15 intelligence with a Tetratronic Rippler and Tech Weapons. I don't use overclock, with the Netrunning complementing my bolt shots to weaken or finish off enemies
The Blackwall hack is so awesome, specially when a netrunner tries to hack you and with the counterhack perks you make him/her and all network connected enemies to get one hit KO'd, hearing their screams XD
Raven + ram recoup + body build (freight train quake) is all you need. Just gotta get enough ram to set off explosions with contagion/burning. Forget all that reallocator/self ice crap. You WANT to take damage. Alert the whole building, group em up, run over them with a hammer, contagion spam on everything, start quaking with gorilla arms + fire nades. If you want you can spec into pyromania and throw nades at yourself to get up to mitigation cap. Smart guns (especially shotguns) are bottom tier dps-wise.
I've had a ton of fun using 20 int, 20 reflex, and taking control hacks with Queue Mastery, Spillover, and Slaughterhouse and disabling enemies before cutting up large groups of them.
What deck do you use for that?
My current playtrough I've been running the Arasaka cyberdeck. But less out for the ability to make cool builds and more because it's just convenient, since you have a huge window of not entering the fight. For regular enemies - a single synapse burnout seems to be able to finish most all of them, with just 2 for some skull-level enemies, for stronger foes and bosses - you can just spam it, interspersed with control quickhacks to make your life easy. If a fight is unavoidable, there's also some cool to make revolvers (and pistols, but that's mostly for stealth) deadly and body to be able to survive longer. I imagine there are way better builds to deal with MaxTac, but the infinite overclock (thanks to synapse burnout) with basically infinite health (thanks to body perks, blood deamon, a blood pump and a biomonitor) seems to be enough. Hell, the whole point of that playtrough was to finally be able to run with canto, but now I'm not sure I want to do that, since it seems like it would be a downgrade.
But to get to this point it was a journey, and a rewarding one at that. It was V from Arasaka counterintel who got kicked out by the corporation, leaving her with bitterness in her heart, a fondness for her old company's tech and a very particular set of skills. She had to sneak her way through encounters using covert hacks to survive, for even the lowest gangoons were a deadly threat if not approached carefully. Things changed when overclock was unlocked, and she could focus on sneakily thinning the droves of unsuspecting enemies while simultaneously frying the dangerous ones until, through toiling and grinding, she could finally afford the final upgrades of her cyberdeck, quickhacks and cyberware to synergize with them, to the point where she could bypass most of the sneaking, focusing instead on a steady stream of burnouts, memory wipes, system resets and self-deletions to deal with her victims. Cybersomatic Optimizer was the cherry on top, allowing her to forgo the use of ultimate quickhacks, as she could just melt the brains of her enemies with a thought, as soon as she saw them.
Yeah, netrunning is back to being ridiculous. At least in the post-2.0 world you need to work for it, instead of just becoming a god of cyberspace as soon as you reach 20 int and buy yourself a netwatch netdriver 10 minutes after leaving act 1.

Personally I like using the Tetratonic Rippler in almost any build. I have tried to run Sandevistan and Beserk but always feel so inhibited by the lack of hacking magic, especially in the early game. Even with no points into intelligence with a tier 4 tetratonic you have plenty of ram to get you out of nearly any situation in the game with cripple movement, ping, turret/camera takeovers etc.
I call my contagion based build, Plague Runner.
That Netdriver build looks incredibly fun.
This video was extremely helpfull, thank you! I think i'll try out the Raven-based build, but I'll have to find a weapon to fit with. I kinda don't like smart weapon (even if I'm bad at it, I like to aim), and I'd prefer playing with a power or tech pistol so I'd have to dig a bit into those weapons.
I had a lot of success using INT as a secondary attribute because the Tetratronic is so strong. Focusing on Body and blunt weapons you become an unstopable bull with the ability to soften up tougher enemies or ones at range.

See crying people on Sonic Shock can shut up now cause Sam has finally told them what the best pure Netrunning Cyberdeck build is.
I think it's worth commenting about the Tetratronic Rippler, that in the build you propose you pretty much ignore smartweapons. That's possibly missing the synergy of the massive high RAM you have with the Precision Subroutines perk, which in many cases will have you firing a smartgun with +70% or more accuracy.
I'd suggest at the very least 3 perk points into Smartguns is probably very worth it with that deck. I'll admit with that endgame build especially you won't get your gun out very often, but if you do with Yinglong, you pretty much will not miss with bullet when you do with 2 points in Acquisition Specialist and 1 point in Precision Subroutines.
My Biotech build was a stealth build I called “Woe, plague be upon ye”.
QH:Ping,Cyberware Malfunction, Cyberpsychosis, Detonate Grenade, Contagion, overheat, short circuit, synapse burnout
I had the cyberware that lets you crit QH’s and added the one that adds crit chance the farther away you are. I’d find the farthest position I could hack the cams from, activate over lock for the extra spread, then used a mix of contagion and overheat to take out entire buildings in a few seconds.
For the Netgunner build, I usually go max reflexes as well for the Run and gun SMG perk. You used to be able to run triple Yinlong before they got rid of crafting multiple iconics, but still works with warden/yinlong combos

To whom it may concern: Highly recommend the purple tier memory wipe quick hack for stealth netrunners. It does the same thing as reboot optics for a shorter duration but its like 20 ram cheaper than the legendary tier mem wipe. Staggers enemies when they’re in combat too

The kappa x-mod 2 is good with the biotech build because it has explosive rounds as well as two mod slots
In my first playthrough of 2.0 and phantom liberty I used the tetratonic mostly because of ram and combos but now I'm thinking ima try the crow killer build cause it's feels like a wizard casting illnesses.
for me the best is paraline with pride and breakthrough coupled with reboot optics for ram and quick kills, and yinglong when overclocking
I don't know if its a constant across all platforms or a bug, but for those wanting to full stealth run like early 2.0 you can try Sonic Shock and Synapse Burnout. this for me gets the same results as the Short Circuit stealth builds just at a higher cost. The goal should be to kill them before they can even process that they took damage, because it still pulls up the tracking bar but Sonic Shock seems to make it that only they start to trace you instead of the whole camp, but if they can warn others that they took damage then everyone will start tracking you. I think. All I know is that it works
You don't really need to worry about your trace with Arasaka cyberdeck, it will be too damn long, next quickhacks after tracing starts won't be tracable and you can always take a perk to reset trace after stealth takedown.
do recommend wearing a netrunner suit if you go for the Arasaka build, speaking as a shadowrunner. it kinda helps

ah, I labeled myself as a netgunner or well, a stealth one but I’m not really that… I use the arasaka deck and it’s sooo satisfying. don’t even have to use my silenced gun most times

I did a lot of messing around with cyberdecks on my first playthrough and settled on a rippler but instead of going into reflexes, as I'm just not a big fan or air dash or even dash that much, I went straight into edgerunners, as I was focusing on tech weapons as is.
Late game it allowed me to be decently well off in straight combat and take advantage of cyberware like Chitin while also being able to delete anyone I wanted with a 12k+ synapse burnout, all the while not skrimping out on stealth benefits like mass base clearing with the sonic shock combo.
The lack of AOE was solved entirely thanks to the Widow Maker/X-MOD 2 Achilles and nailing bolt shots.
NGL It wasn't great until phantom liberty, since I played through the entire base game with 3 body and only 30% crit chance, hence why I messed around with other cyberdecks like the netdriver and arasaka early on, but once I got those extra 10 levels when I booted my old save for PL, the rippler carried me through no issues and I feel if you're not a dumbass like me you can make it work just fine in base game.

Awesome Vid! If you're looking for another name for the Raven Cyberdeck build, I would offer "Epidemic"
For your Raven Microcyber build, you could also give it the name “HOT ZONE.” This refers to an area that has been severely affected by an active contagion (such as Ebola). Plus it can also refer to its capability to chain contagion and overheat/burn damage on a much wider scale than your brain melter build.

For the Ripple, I think full chains are major overkill, I think every non-boss I encounter drops from MemoryWipe > Synapse Burn > any non-combat hack (with the COX2 of course), guaranteed if you queue multiple chains so your RAM upon Synapse Burn load is close to 0.
For bosses/MaxTac, I need to experiment more with chains to one shot them. I think Synapse > non-combat > Synapse > non-combat will drop anyone as long as your health is low at time of activation for maximum damage.
I go 20 Int, 20 Tech, 20 Body for maximum cyberware capacity, which makes you pretty tanky as well. My only issue has been the MaxTac sniper if I don't target fire him down immediately, as he can one-shot me when I am low when I get unlucky (despite 1200 armour) so he acts as a limiter to my efficiency.
I'm running a stealthier version of the raven build, no smart guns, so I'm using knives and then overheat to proc my contagions. I might have to try that Bio build running to smart gun though, that looks fun.
i build i would have love to have seen with the net driver/arasaka is a stealth takedown focused build. using the stealth/device perks to move people into position to silently snap thier necks
Now granted i have 305 cyberware capacity but i was able to do the blood daemon build you did with iconic ram relocator and i was also able to add titanium bones for extra armor /carrying capacity, the kiroshi clairvoyant optic, idk whay ur other hand mod is so i have micro generator and i was able to add the reflex tuner. All that with fortified ankles and i had 1040 armor and a 806 carrying capacity.
I like using the Rippler as a net gunner deck.
