The 4th position clean sounds like the feeling you get when you get a cup of hot chocolate on a winter day while cuddled up next to a fireplace…. It’s so ridiculously soothing and comforting. So warm. I’d love to see a similar video with the Fishman Fluence Javier signature pickups as well.
@@AbelHernandezguitar I just got my Kiesel yesterday and went with the Tosins because of your video and the fact that Mcrocklin was using them too and both of you guys sound amazing with them. Are you still using them Today or what happened to your Tosins???
@@AbelHernandezguitar hey Abel how do you get around the 60 cycle hum on position 4?? You switch to it and have no issues it seems mine starts humming wild. It's not wiring and it's not ground wire buzzing confirmed it's just the 60 cycle.

Absolutely love the attention to detail you put in on the video component of your stuff, my friend. As a photographer and somebody that made the recent jump into doing more video work, I really appreciate when other musicians pay attention to the composition of the frame and the lighting.
That clean tone in the intro made me feel things, man. Holy shit. EDIT: That voice 1 bridge position clean tone sounded like the most amazing frostbitten trve kvlt Black Metal clean tone I have ever heard in my entire life. The frozen tundras are beckoning my soul! Seriously though. Damn. Absolutely need those pickups.
Sounds great. I like the moderns but haven't played the Tosins. I had the Willie Adler set but they had zero low end. My wife even said something when she heard me play that Guitar.
Thx for this! I know its an older video but I've never been on anyone else's schedule... My understanding is the Tosin PUs have a 3rd voicing you are missing out on.
In this configuration, the third voicing is only available on the "split coil" settings, on blade positions 2 and 4. The p/p doesn't do anything in those positions. Not sure if anything additional is added with 2 x p/p pots, but in this set up, this is all the voices that are available. 🙂
10:00 - enjoyed that technique. your approach reminds me of something I saw shawn lane do in an Indian music context. Rapid slide up and down almost in the effect of a sitar. I'm still deciding which fluence to get but this was helpful.

I'm a little afraid of the Tosins having more low end than what I want or need and I live in an apartment so I cant shake the room with the bass lol
Have you ever tried the KSE set ? I have a pair in a Schecter guitar, and they dont sound too bad but I find the bridge on voice 1 is very bright and has almost no low end. it took a while to get used to and EQing things differently. The cleans are good , but the Abasi's seem better at cleans and possibly a little thicker sounding.. Have you compared them ? I'm tempted to swap out my KsE set
How did you get to that voice 3, want to buy these pickups myself. I understand the voice 1 (tone button down) voice 2 (tone button up/pull). But how did you get to the voice 3 ? Thanks for the answer in advance.
@jp2503 I know this comment is a year old but if you haven’t already, then check out the band called Standards. Their guitarist plays this style with only an Abasi neck pup
Hey Abel, I have the exact same guitar than you and I'm still torn between getting the Bare Knuckle Ragnarok or these pups. Do you have any experience with the Ragnarok, I've been told by Bare Knuckle people that Ragnarok with be a better fit than the juggs since our guitar is already pretty dark with the mahogany body! What's your thoughts on that? Thanks man
I've had both sets. I prefer the Juggs. The Rags seemed like they had a lot more low end but I think the Juggs are tighter and lower output. In my opinion too much output is just over the top. I have Juggs in a PRS CE24. Tried them in a Jim Root Jazzmaster and they were great in that too The low side of the pup is ceramic so it seems to brighten it up.

Hey just a quick question, what wiring did you use? If you know? Was it the push pull on tone knob? If It is done that way can I get the split coil sound you are using in position 2 and 4? Also do you know if you have a super blade switch or a regular 5 way and can these sounds be done with a regular If be the case

My second question is the difference, if you have experience with that, between the abasi and the killswitch engage set. Thank you so much!!!
They are incredibly well balanced, there’s is virtually no difference in output. as far as how they compare to the Killswitch set I’ll have a video out on that soon.
@@AbelHernandezguitar glad to hear that, if you could compare the modern, the tosin and the killswitch set it would be the most useful fluence video ever

A little late, but I’m pretty sure there’s 2 positions for the humbucker and one for the split. According to Fishman’s website all new electronics are included except for the pickup selector, so I reckon a standard 3 way toggle would be fine. I’m pretty sure Tosin uses just a regular 3 way switch.
