      Yeah I wouldn't called him underrated. Check his project. They are both really chill people to...meet them at a show in like 2010 at a small venue in my home town and they hanged out with everybody out side the bar just having convo.

    Both unbelievable individually, and mindblowing together. I agree, give Javier's band Mestis some love too, we recently saw them live with Plini, and it was outstanding. I'm listening to Mestis all the time, and it's mellower in general but still all kinds of 8 string goodness. So good to listen to this. Great vid

    Just converted to Fishman after 20 years using passive pickups. Javier’s set sounds great, a nice complement in sound to Tosin’s sound.

      Agathzot Stratoverse sounds similar, but that is very distinctly the melody and rhythm of Forty Six & 2. Home has the same chords and notes it seems, but arranged differently

      Always found it pretty funny that he is like completely incompetent in a blues scenario, there’s a video of him doing some clinic with Guthrie and another guy and they Jam on some blues stuff and Tosin looks so lost

    Somewhat off topic but does anyone know what happened to Abasi Concepts? I feel like they just vanished, no updates, no one seems to have one of their guitars yet (since they fired that one guy). I sent an email and got no response either.

      Brett Bock they disappeared for a bit but I feel the opposite now, like they’ve added some killer artists to their roster (Stephen Taranto, justus west, roompam garg) and seem to have a decent presence at stuff like NAMM. I feel like I haven’t seen many customers get their hands on them, so that does seem a little weird.

    Many many moons ago I met Ken at a show in Lexington KY. He hung out with a bunch of us after the show for like an hour just chatting about random stuff. Happened again in Louisville a few times. A genuinely super nice guy. But watching him sit here all stiff looking at the monitors or staring into the nothingness is a bit awkward.
    Never met the AAL guys and their music isn’t really my taste but I appreciate what they bring to music. I completely forgot about Reflux. Sorry Tosin.
    I recently purchased an 8 string and I’m slowly working on adjusting to having an 8th string. Curious on what string gauge these guys are using to reduce the fluba buba on the low end?

      Yeah i got to meet aal at a dive bar ine charleston back when navine was still thier drummer. Tosin was cool, but i smoked with javier and navine and javier let me mess around on his 8 string to mess around on while we talked about a lauren hill show that was coming soon.

      that being said, watching Tosin go through how he specified all the configurations and construction of his pickup system, you can get whatever you want. He's built modes into his guitars (and is sporting the gold top, hell yes) that are not only tailored for his particular use cases but is versatile enough in tones and management that I've thought of getting one just to have based on all the unique and uniquely useful features/configs built into the units.

      I'm a bit late, but I have the strat battery pack on my RG655 and the screw holes and everything line up perfectly. The universal battery pack also looks small enough to fit in a traditional electronics cavity

      @@mikedervos5974 which Fluence are you talking about. Their is the Fluence classic and modern. Tosins are more like the modern. Alot brighter and higher output. Also the split tones are insane
