    I've heard Devy play that tapping lick over 100 times and I'm still amazed by it as if it were my first time hearing it! His tone and playing are some of the best in all of modern metal.
    Amazing musician and human being.

      Jone C Hoftun I’ve been asking them for that since the six string DTs came out hehe. Dev does play a 7 string every now and then too, idk what he’s using in those guitars.

    Just put these in a 2020 dustie waring prs. The simplest I can say is it was like supercharging the guitar. It sincerely held most if its tone but its thicker, louder, and very tight. Low end is punchy but not 'wide' id definitely say this pickup specifically would be a good choice for someone hesitant to step into the active world. Ive played a variety of emgs and sd blackouts, this pickup stands apart. It holds the guitars sound but thickens it and pushes it. Very impressed and happy with this set.

    I know these and all fluence pickups are built way different than normal pickups. My question is can this set or any of the others be wired up with a HH pickup configuration and a 5-way switch for the inner and outer coil settings in positions 2 & 4 like a JP musicman? Also can the pickup voice selectors be wired independently? so could i do something like have the bridge on voice 1and the neck on voice 2 (or vice versa) in any of the positions where both pickups are "on"? If that were possible I'd be all over these pickups. It'd give anyone playing them with this specific wiring idea an insane amount of tonal variations. If anyone can answer any of my questions please do. I wanted to put these pickups in a PRS SE custom 24 with the wiring scheme being like I just mentioned. Would it work like I'm hoping it will? Please someone let me know. I thank you for your time and have a great day everyone.

  • @NickScott86

    I have a set and think they're fantastic. I love the passive humbucker voice most of all. Hey Ken, can we get a "Modern Classic" set which has voice 1 from the Modern and Classic sets plus the third single coil voice from the new Classic set? I'll take two!

    The different modes are confusing me... The wiring diagram on the webpage says a "Standard Guitar Wiring" only has 2 voices through pulling on the tone control..
    But "Signature Guitar Wiring" says it has 3 voices and that there is a "Voice Select Switch in control cavity".
    What is the control cavity? is it easy to switch and how do you install the rechargeable version?

    • @MauricioSanchez-tv6fg
      @MauricioSanchez-tv6fg 6 років тому

      Indiegaze Have seen lots of posts about the 3rd voice (as I'm thinking on buying them for one of my guitars), looks like the way to have the 3 voices at the same time is basically by using the 2 push/pull pots but they will both be volume pots (instead of volume and tone), so that way the bridge pickup volume pot will control voice 1 and 2, and the 2nd pot will control neck pickup volume and will split the coils. However if you want to have the whole thing in one shot (including tone control) you will need to either make a hole in the guitar and put a small switch (that is included in the set) so you can use it as voice 3 engage, or put the switch inside the pots cavity and try to fit it in a place were it doesn't move that much, and everytime you want to use voice 3 you will need to open the cavity and turn the switch on and off as you wish.
      In a nutshell you can have the 3 voices by sacrificing tone control, or have the 3 voices and tone control by sacrificing the ability to enable it without a small guitar modification.

    • @jcdude1585
      @jcdude1585 6 років тому

      Mauricio Sanchez I had the same question so thanks. Would it also be possible (on a guitar with 2 volume and 2 tone knobs) to route both pickups to a single volume knob and replace the other knob with a 3 way selector for the voices like Devin has on his guitar?

    • @MauricioSanchez-tv6fg
      @MauricioSanchez-tv6fg 6 років тому

      jcdude1585 Actually that could be a third option. To have only 1 push/pull pot for volume control (neck and bridge pickups) and use the other cavity to put the 3rd voice switch (like Devin's Framus), however tone will be missing too, but that could be possible.

    • @jcdude1585
      @jcdude1585 6 років тому

      Mauricio Sanchez cool. But wouldn't I still have my tone? I'm only replacing the one volume knob, I'm leaving the 2 tone knobs in.

    • @NickScott86
      @NickScott86 6 років тому

      I was confused too. In reality, there are two different humbucker voices (active and passive basically) and the third voice is just coil splitting/tapping (I forget the difference) the passive voice. You will sacrifice hum cancelling for the neck and bridge positions when you've got the coil split engaged, but the middle position will provide hum cancelling. I should note that newer Fishman designs like the KSE and Classic Open Core set offers an actual third voice which should provide hum cancelling in all positions.
      The way I had my set wired was with a three way pickup selector, a volume knob, and a mini three way toggle for selecting between the three voices. Simple but very versatile.
      In the case of "Signature Guitar Wiring", that's referring to his actual Framus signature guitar.
