I think its a bit exaggerated, i think i still remember that a supermarket closed lights but still kept some open for the last customers

I actually met a dude like Alan in the second video. He was an amazing waiter, and he memorized 5 peoples orders, and even remembered who ordered what when he brought it out.
I met the most amazing woman who remembered my family’s order from over a year before and recited it perfectly.
She was a nice 40 year old looking Asian woman with a strong accent but great English. I really respect Asians because they clearly are very sharp and I wish I had that type of mind, they have great food and many of them are amongst the most ingenious people in the world. I apparently have an IQ of 113 according to a psychologist and I honestly doubt it.
I also met a dude like second video Alan when the school computers were having issues on monday morning and my IT teacher stormed off never to be seen again
I'm not paying extra for someone to fake autism just to do the same thing a pad of paper can do.

Same here. Except there were only two of us and she fucked up our sides, got my burger cooked completely wrong, then complained to her manager when we asked for the correct sides (didn't even mention the burger).

You should never ask "if they are about to close", you should ask "what time do they normally close".
or better yet: what time does *the kitchen* usually close.
@@FiXatoNo, you guys are coping so hard. If they close at 9 and I walk in at 8:59, I expect to be served the full menu. If you want to close as 8 then close at 8, don't expect people to just follow your arbitrary rules. When I walk into Walmart they offer everything they have right up until 11

Eating alone will always be one of the funniest skits they have ever done. Ben just cracks me up with how UNHINGED he is.
I worked in kitchens for 16 years and closing time was always anxiety inducing. 10min to close and the server comes back announcing a 10 top. Every cook freaks out.

Waiter turned pale, guy asked, "What?" Until he realized, "Oh, no." And after the waiter return the ID, gets the other waiters, "You don't have to do it." Waiter then says it's policy.

@@keulron2290 never heard of it in my parts. So how does it work (asking for curiosity), you put it when you make that decision on your own, before being with someone to show anyone interested what your belief is, or you put it already when engaged for... not sure what exactly. I feel like that's between the partners.
Every time a compilation is posted, I click on the video without reading anything about it and then start going "I've seen this video before..."
I always click VLDL videos without even checking what it is because I know I'll get a laugh
I relate to this too much it hurts. My boss sends everyone home at close, so i have to try clean and organize everything in about an hour if im lucky, while still serving customers.

I litteraly had the "closing" situation in Hamburg Germany once in a restaurant.. Well before 21.00h (the official closing time) we got there and trying to order some food they were clearly already closing up.. Cleaning, putting chairs on other tables etc, so simular, no joke.. Even the I have to ask if a particular order could still be made part..
"did you get all that?"
"I would've, on my phone that's recording your order, if you hadn't constantly been asking that, making it run out of recording time"

You can judge the water waiter all you want, but at the lightning speed it was clearly being drunk I’m convinced Alan may have died had that water not been poured down his mouth.

I swear I love the waitstaff/restaurant logic videos. All of them, minus the poop in the salad, every time I binge I have to skip around it

That close to closing I wouldn't trust that burger to be properly cooked if the fryer was only just turned back on. It can take 20 mins to heat up the oil from cold, then another 10 mins to cook something if it's small / thin.
@@emberguard5009 If it's closure time and you just turned it off, it doesn't take that long, the oil is still hot and the boiler (don't know the english name sry lad) too, it just pisses off the cook but we can do it anyway, just a pain in the butt.
It's only about 2 or 3 minutes of cooking the meat while the buns are in the oven, it's most of the time the only order left so you can focus on it, assembling everything takes 20 secs, it's not that hard. Just annoying when you started closing everything and be told to put everything back on

If you think a restaurant is closing, go some where else. Most places are gonna be too polite to tell you they are closing. And you really are jamming up their schedule ordering even 30 minutes before close.
Yup. That close to closing they’re already cleaning and will have to reclean everything they use to make that meal. Unfortunately some people just dont care and say well that’s what they’re paid to do.
To be honest as a dutch person i rather have them tell me they are closing
@@erkealbat1139 I’ve worked places where we have told people we were closing, one time we were literally closing in 5 mins. They ignored us, sat down, and ordered anyways. And unfortunately our manager was a pushover so he just went along with it.
Edit: He was a genuinely good boss otherwise though, was very kind to us and made sure we were taken care of, but my lord he was incapable of standing up to abusive customers

I had a guy come up, ask when we close, leave, and then come back 5 minutes before we closed and was upset our stove and kitchen was shut down for the night. Anyone who complains about this kind of thing, has clearly never worked in a restaurant
not so much "being too polite" as perhaps being instructed by the manager or owner to not say no.

Everyone has either moved away or passed but wanted to go to a place for Christmas like I used to with people. I'm sure they were expecting more people so they gave me a big table. My waiter came by and asked if everyone's late and I said it's just me so they moved me to a proper table haha.

When I was working as a waiter long time ago, 30 min before closing I would tell you you have 25 minutes to finish or I'll lock you in. I would laugh as I say it, and people would laugh back, but I wasn't really joking.

It is totally intentional when wait staff clean and close up in full view of patrons still inside. They want you out, they’ve been taking a bunch of verbal abuse and just want to go get drunk or hi or simply sleep. GET OUT!
