Honestly, LotRO made me shed a tear. I've played it a looooong time ago, and stopped only when regional servers went down. It was a glorious time and I thank you for inspiring me to try and play it yet again. Edit: Also I personally encourage people to try Total War Warhammer, because it rightfully holds the place of the biggest strategy game. But beware, brothers and sisters: Dwarves are strong and powerful, but so as anyone else in WarHammer universe, be it 40k or Fantasy, it doesn't really matter. So if you seek the real challenge - dive into this somewhat depressing, somewhat absurd, somewhat over-the-top-epic, but tough, powerful and grand universe.
I've played a dwarf warrior and lady dwarf hunter in World of Warcraft for a long time. The starting dwarf experience in Classic WoW was quite fitting in that we fight our enemies, do quests involving ale, and delve into caves and mines. Brann Bronzebeard (a dwarven hunter and explorer) has been featured quite prominently in the latest expansion as a companion on delves. I also recently picked Lord of the Rings Online up again and made a dwarf guardian. I love cracking goblins in the skull with my hammer and shield, mining for ore, and crafting armor. I'm still early in the game, but it's nice that I get to meet a variety of dwarven NPCs (including Dwalin of Thorin's Company).
Maybe... "Return to Nangrim" when/if it's launched could feature also in a future version of this list. Great work, bro! Keep it up! And... Slainte Mhath!!!✊
My mother likes to play Disciples 2 a lot as the Undead for their ability to paralysis. Says they are the best because they are the only ones that can take out a Factions Capital. I then proceed to take out a Undead NPC's Capital as the Mountain Clans. It admitted took WAY longer since I had to retreat a few times to heal then go right back in but still!
There is also the Warlords Battlecry series where you can play as dwarwes. Playing as the normal dwarwes prepare to drink loads of beer to not have them walk slow af and instead walk slightly faster than slow af.
In a forgotten RTS series, Warlords battlecry, the dwarves were of course extremely slow (but tanky), but each unit could use a "beer" ability to become drunk and move way faster for a time. I've always thought that mechanic should have become a staple for dwarven factions in games
Lord of the Rings: Realms in Exile is a worthwile try for all dwarf-loving grand strategy enthusiast, in my humble opinion. While it's actually only a mod for Crusader Kings 3 it is still an incredible experience, wether you want to try to reclaim the Moria, Wage holy wars against trolls and Goblins, or just enjoy a calm life as you slowly dig your fortune.
You added LotRO to the list, and I'd say there's memorable dwarven territory, villages, and/or cities, etc., in a few other mmo's, particularly World of Warcraft, EverQuest 1 & 2, and Warhammer Online: Return of Reckoning. A few other honorable mentions: Might & Magic VII has a dwarven city (a bit dated graphics but still) and you can make an entirely dwarven party. Also, in the original campaign of Neverwinter Nights 2, very early on you get a very memorable and hilarious dwarven party member named Khelgar Ironfist and later on even visit his family's stronghold.
Dwarves have actually appeared in a post-apocalyptic setting. Dark Souls 2 features the Gyrm warriors, who look a great deal like the traditional dwarf. Slow, sturdy, and they hit like tanks.
Technically though, are Tolkien's dwarves the first? There are always the dwarfs of Norse mythology, such as brokk and eitri/sindri, that I imagine were Tolkien's inspiration. Although , I guess it has to be said that the trope of dwarf mountain cities, with ranks of armoured warriors, possibly did indeed originate with the big JRRT.
@@Schmitty7546 Technically - yes, you are right, Tolkien didn't invent the word. But the dwarves as we know them today were practically created by him from different bits of folklore and shaped into the bearded folk with a recognizable style.
@@notawitchr Exactlly. Dwarves from the myths, apart from the idea they where short and bound to the Earth (miners, smiths...) did not have very defining attributes, where very variable from myth to myth or interchangable with other creatures of folklore.... long beards, small but stout complexion, fortress-citties uderground, fascination with gold, proudness and stubbordness... ALL that cannon (witch is pretty universal, other details are more flexible) was all Tolkien. In a similar fashion, Bram Stoker took lots of myths about vampires, and brougth thrm to modern litterature in his Dracula, so modern vampires exist based on the vission of Stoker... the same with Romero an zombies, the concept of a ghoul, a dead men brougth back to life existed, but is not until Dawn of the dead that the horde of walkin corpses witch need to receibe a big trauma to the head to be fully destroyed entered the collective imaginarium
Umm I am sure people mentioned it but you forgot Dwarf Fortress. Which is more of a simulation game than city builder. Less prominent indie games are: "Hero's Hour" a heavily "Heroes of Might and Magic" inspired pixel game has a playable Dwarf faction called "Earthen." "Forgotten Mines" another pixel art dwarf warparty tactical game. "Dwarves Glory Death and Loot" a silly auto battle game with pixel art (I know I like pixel art) The tactical game "The Last spell" also got an expansion called "Dwarves of Runenburg" which add Dwarves into the selectable heroes. There is "First Dwarf" which is a "magictech" themed survival and builder RPG where meaning where you have robots and stuff powered by magic. "Beneath the Mountain" a Dungeon Keeper inspired isometric colony builder with dwarves as the player faction. These are definitely not "The BEST" dwarf games but they exist and I though I mention them.
I'd say Beneath the mountain is the best among them; it has a truly Dwarfy feel behind the units and upgrades while things like Forgotten mines and DGDL feel almost tacked on because the classes/units are generic and not at all thematic to Dwarves themselves.
Thank you for this video. This makes me think about reviving my plan to work out the plans for a proper Dwarven kingdom. Maybe combined with a dwarves-only campaign in a ttrpg.
I'd also recommend checking out Anbennar mod for Europa Universalis 4. I really like dwarves there and overall serpenpspine experience, very unique. Damn you, hoardcurse!
wind rose is coll couse metal, but these guys called Clamavi De Profundis they warm your soul with dwarven music. been listening to them on solo hiks and runs during winter its peak.
Severance: Blade of Darkness. Ngalfar is still my favourite ever Dwarf character. That said, he's by far the most difficult of the four to play. If you do choose him, though, completion of the game is a very rewarding experience!
18:14 If it helps, in the books it was unclear if Uruk-hai were created from dark sorcery, crossing men and orcs, or even just strong breeds of orcs. It was only brought up by Treebeard that Saruman may have crossed men and orcs due to their attitudes and immunity to sunlight. Half-Orcs and Goblin men are described by Tolkien in their origins as Men-Orcs ("Large and Cunning," probably the Half-Orcs and more in orcish in appearance) and Orc-Men ("Treacherous and Vile," probably the Goblin Men and more man-like in appearance). Both of these breeds were enlisted into Saruman's army, and some (probably Goblin Men/Orc-Men) even spread to Bree and the Shire, attempting to take The Shire over for Saruman after Isengard's siege.
Also great video! I've been enjoying LOTRO so far as a Blue Mountains Dwarf (I picked that heritage since I have an interest in the old cities of Belegost and Nogrod from the First Age) and want to visit the other mountains and settlements (e.g. Moria and Erebor)
The Battle for Wesnoth is a truly excellent turn-based strategy game with Dwarves as one of the fully fleshed-out factions. It is free on steam and a real gem for a free game! I would love to see a video covering it. (Has single player and multiplayer but the multiplayer is a combo faction of Dwarves and bandits)
Heh, Laurelin... I had a one-off character I made on Laurelin specifically to take part in some event. He was a dwarf of course. My main was on Eldar, a dwarf Guardian. But that was long, long, long time ago. Full story is in one of my replies to other commenters. Nice to see a fellow EU LotRO player from back in the day...

"its a reason for a grudge to not menition Dwarf Fortress" also Medieval 2 Total Wars mod Divide and Conquer is also a good to play as Dwarf in LoTR but my favorite goes for Vermintide 2 and Battle for MiIdleEart 2 AGe of the Ring mod . playing Warcraft 3 as Humans and using only dwarf units and hero is also good or playing WoW as Dwarven Hunter or WArior and having Engineering or blacksmithing along with minnig also feels good
Personally back in the day on ol ver of minecraft 1l7.10 which had LOTR mod without any story once I found a dwarven hold and the urge to dig in and help expend the tunnels appeared in me, I only ever ventured out to gather wood I was that engrossed in it!
I need to check out Return to Moria. I figured it would either be a gimmick game with little depth, or worse something like the Hobbit movies and/or Rings of Power, which seem to work more towards destroying Tolkien's legacy than actually creating any kind of faithful adaption.
@@notawitchr I believe its mostly because of no dedicated servers/ability to set up servers. I have a group of Valheim people who would play Return to Moria but there is no way to set up a server. Unless you know about one and would like to share.
Return to Moria surprised me with how great it was. I was excited about it eventually coming to Steam but from what I'd seen of it's Epic Release I wasn't really expecting too much from it. It blew me away! I really loved it, spent nearly 50 hours finishing the campaign with a group.

For me, the most Dwarven game ever is always DRG, it shows just how adaptable these guys can be, from digging and mining for ores and valuables in relatively safe mines, to fighting off hordes of bugs, plus Rock and Stone will always stay as Dwarven as it can be
Oh, lotro, I have been taken back to a far better time, with far better friends....I wonder if my characters are still sitting around on Brandywine. Time to try to log back in
Oh my. I started playing shortly after release, my first and main character was a dwarf Guardian... Had so many adventures with him, went through a number of kinships, did raids, PvP and saw him through the release of Mines of Moria, which was simply A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. and then beyond. I played on a EU server back when it was maintained by CodeMasters. Climbed myself to the top and was regarded as one of the best tanks on the server. I was even able to hold aggro against a trigger-happy Hunter, which for those of you who played back then, should tell a lot. I stopped playing sometime in 2010 because the game started to consume me, my free time, my real life obligations, my family time and even my job. It became more important than everything else and it had to be stopped. Went the cold turkey method, by outright deleting all my characters and shutting down my account. It was not an easy decision but it had to be done. I still recall this time as one of the most amazing times I had with a video game, but I do not regret doing what I did. I keep several hundred megabytes of screenshots I made during that time as a souvenir, stashed somewhere on one of the spare disk drives, but to this day I stay away from MMOs because I know first hand how addictive they can become. And to prove I'm not talking bullsh**, just go to my channel and see a video I posted 16 years ago.
There's an as-yet unreleased Dwarfen survival game called "Return to Nangrim" in the works. Granted, it's been stuck in development hell for a while now, but the short demo shows a lot of promise!
Hi, do you mean your character is in The Blue Mountains Regiment? I wasn't a member, but i participated in some RP-events. Always played only on Larelin)
I would add RPGs like Baldurs Gate and Pathfinder as they allow you to play dwarves. Oh! And you forgot about War in the North. My lad how could you not mention Farim from Erebor?
There is no genre that fits dwarves better than post-apocalyptic. Exploring the ruins of the once mighty empire of your ancestors teeming with execrable monsters who lurks in its dark corners, recovering ancient knowledge and rebuilding new citadels to carve your name in the mountain. That's quite literally Return to Moria, but the game itself doesn't look that good, sadly. Also why I loved the Deep Roads part of DAO, which is considered one of the boring parts by many.
Just watched this video and loved it! especially the dwarfish musical bits. Have always loved dwarves, read most every book about dwarves, and own and played most games about dwarves set in various genera and settings. (and lead a dwarven clan in LOTRO) And while I agree with your picks, there should be a 10th.... Deep Rock Galactic. It is quite dwarvish, and there is beer. ROCK AND STONE BROTHER!!!
Warlords Battlecry III might be a bit old and perhaps obscure (although it was covered by Ssethzeentach not long ago) Has not only 1, but TWO dwarven factions to play as.
Ok, no Deep Rock Galactic? Yes, I know it's a sci-fi fantasy game set in space, but it is, quite literally, about as dwarfy as a game can get. It is LITERALLY what you would get, if you took dwarves and just put them in a space setting, and pointed them at a planet full of hostile creature swarms and seemingly inexhaustable rich veins of all sorts of rare and valuable ores and, of course, GOLD. It is a game where you delve underground, regularly dig too deep, and fight off monsters in swarms that are trying to put an end to your delving... occasionally with a pickaxe no less! There literally ISN'T any way it's not dwarfy. It is straight up dwarfier than SEVEN games on this list, which mostly just happen to have Dwarves IN them and are not particularly dwarfy.
you are crediting Diggy Diggy hole to the wrong people, while wind rose did have a stellar cover of the song, it was originally created by the UA-camr group the Yogscast! :3
battle mages sign of darkness allows you to bring your starting unit through whole campain if you are skilled enough and you can upgrade them to higher tier in town or camp of their faction and yes it does have dwarfs
I'm curious what you think about the Dwarves in World of Warcraft, Also on some of the RP Servers such as Moon Guard, I know of this one Guild known as The Dwarven Vanguard, A MIlitary Guild of all Dwarves from each of the clans who heavily into Dwarf Culture and such, Even their Rally is "For Thane and Mountain"
I thought about including WoW in the list, but i haven't played it for a long time and as i understansd it, only in classic WoW you could start as a dwarf of Ironforge, but not anymore? Not sure in what state WoW's dwarfs are currently. Didn't want to talk about the matter i'm not that familiar with. Do you recommend checking out?
@@notawitchr Yeah, I Recommend it, Speically with the New expansion that came out a few months ago, Since one of the main focus races are the Earthen which is the Titan Crated Stone Dwarves that became The Dwarves we know of because of an Old God Curse known as the Curse of Flesh. While you are still able to make a Regular Ironforge/Bronzebeard Dwarf, They now have customizaion options to make them like a Wildhammer, And your able to Unlock Dark Iron Dwarves (The best kind) as a Playable Race too. And speaking of the current Expansion, Your able to Unlock the Earthen as an Allied Race, Meaning your able to create and play as 3.5 flavors of Dwarf
Actually, Age of Wonders 3 and 4 let you mix any race with any culture, so the dwarves there lack authenticity in my opinion. But those games are great!
Hmmm, ive been on my dwarven phase lately, and this pop out on my recommend wahaha. Particually been obsess on old world warhammer depiction of dwarves, hours of vermintide just to play bardin, its the closest thing ik on feeling like a dwarf.
I didn't even know there was a game about the dwarves series of books. I was quite the fan in my teenage years. Altough I have to admit I started with the book about the 2 dark elve antagonists and I always had a slight preference for them and they felt quite flat in the original book because they weren't that big of antagonists in the main series.
This is exactly what i made this video for! While long-time dwarf-fans may know every game there is - some of these games may have gone unnoticed for many of us.
In the last patch they added option to create dedicate servers and last week RtM was free on Epic game store, so i think many new players got into the game. Maybe now it's easier to find a group?
You were probably going for medieval fantasy dwarves. But if not - if you don't rock and stone, you ain't coming home! Deep rock galactic is one of the most dwarven games avaible (just second to Dwarf fortress).

I knew 7/9 games before this video. I have even red all the "The Dwarves" books.
Super happy you talked about dragon age origins! It was my first RPG where i could play my first dwarf!
Classics... 👍
Dwarven powa!!! Have always loved the little sturdy bearded folks, their irony and strenght. Thanks for the head up!!
Barukh Khazad!!! Thank you! Another video about dwarves soon.
I'm a Dwarf, and i approve these list!
And i approve your approval! 😁
Maybe... "Return to Nangrim" when/if it's launched could feature also in a future version of this list.
Great work, bro! Keep it up! And...
Slainte Mhath!!!✊
Yes! Waiting for this one! And thanks!!! Do dheagh shlainte!
Not including Dwarf Fortress?
THAT’S A GRUDGIN’
My mother likes to play Disciples 2 a lot as the Undead for their ability to paralysis. Says they are the best because they are the only ones that can take out a Factions Capital. I then proceed to take out a Undead NPC's Capital as the Mountain Clans. It admitted took WAY longer since I had to retreat a few times to heal then go right back in but still!
Cool! My wife have managed to take out a capital by elves! It was a long time ago...
Looking foward the upcoming releases of Return to Nangrim and Seeker of the Ruins.
Me too!
There is also the Warlords Battlecry series where you can play as dwarwes. Playing as the normal dwarwes prepare to drink loads of beer to not have them walk slow af and instead walk slightly faster than slow af.
folks may hate on rings of power but it's parts with the dwarves is the best part
I agree, they did try... )
Man, the wave of nostalgia I had when the first game that popped up was Disciples, holy shit
Last time I've heard the words Disciples 2 I was a dwarf.
In a forgotten RTS series, Warlords battlecry, the dwarves were of course extremely slow (but tanky), but each unit could use a "beer" ability to become drunk and move way faster for a time. I've always thought that mechanic should have become a staple for dwarven factions in games
"Dwarven Western" is something I might just have to work on now.
Im convinced that Varrik, or whatever his name is in Dragon Age, is based on Terry Pratchett's dwarf parody of Casanova.
There's definitely some similarity )
Lord of the Rings: Realms in Exile is a worthwile try for all dwarf-loving grand strategy enthusiast, in my humble opinion. While it's actually only a mod for Crusader Kings 3 it is still an incredible experience, wether you want to try to reclaim the Moria, Wage holy wars against trolls and Goblins, or just enjoy a calm life as you slowly dig your fortune.
Disciples 2 is still an amazing game. Great artwork.
You added LotRO to the list, and I'd say there's memorable dwarven territory, villages, and/or cities, etc., in a few other mmo's, particularly World of Warcraft, EverQuest 1 & 2, and Warhammer Online: Return of Reckoning.
A few other honorable mentions:
Might & Magic VII has a dwarven city (a bit dated graphics but still) and you can make an entirely dwarven party.
Also, in the original campaign of Neverwinter Nights 2, very early on you get a very memorable and hilarious dwarven party member named Khelgar Ironfist and later on even visit his family's stronghold.
Haven't player The Dwarves, but I read the books numeral times and still live to read them again. It' a series of I believe 13 books now
For Vrakas
@@dhorn4005 Thank you and respect for the serious approach to the topic.
Umm I am sure people mentioned it but you forgot Dwarf Fortress. Which is more of a simulation game than city builder.
Less prominent indie games are:
"Hero's Hour" a heavily "Heroes of Might and Magic" inspired pixel game has a playable Dwarf faction called "Earthen."
"Forgotten Mines" another pixel art dwarf warparty tactical game.
"Dwarves Glory Death and Loot" a silly auto battle game with pixel art (I know I like pixel art)
The tactical game "The Last spell" also got an expansion called "Dwarves of Runenburg" which add Dwarves into the selectable heroes.
Wow, thank you for these! I know only some of them and "First Dwarf" is an early access game, if i'm not mistaken, so it doesn't count :))
That sounds amazing! Glad to be an inspiration! And thank you!
A quote from a Vermintide team mate "our Skaven is full of metal and has a beard".
Severance: Blade of Darkness. Ngalfar is still my favourite ever Dwarf character. That said, he's by far the most difficult of the four to play. If you do choose him, though, completion of the game is a very rewarding experience!
No Deep Rock Galactic? I know it aint in a stereotypical fantasy setting, but man does it nail dwarven brotherhood.
Thanks! It's still unclear though and the more i think about it the less i want to know about the process... 🤔
@@notawitchr well you see, when orcs raids human villages and captures people...
Found this at the perfect time since Return to Moria is free on epic games rn
The Battle for Wesnoth is a truly excellent turn-based strategy game with Dwarves as one of the fully fleshed-out factions. It is free on steam and a real gem for a free game! I would love to see a video covering it.
(Has single player and multiplayer but the multiplayer is a combo faction of Dwarves and bandits)
Thanks! Sounds like something worth trying.
Look, i love me a Disciples and a HoMM, but not putting Craft the world and Dwarf Fortress in this is criminal
I remember, when as I kid I was playing Disciples 1 as a dwarfs :) in Disciples 2 I think I only played a human campaign.
Now this is a video I didn't know I needed.
Please tell me where the song at the end is from. It is gorgeous!
It's from "Return to Moria", one of the drinking songs called "Beard as bright as brass". Glad you liked it!
@notawitchr thank you :)
Champions of Alaloth, Arcanum, Age of Wonders 4(The Space one do not remember the name but it is the same Franchise),There are many Only Dwarven Games.
"its a reason for a grudge to not menition Dwarf Fortress"
also Medieval 2 Total Wars mod Divide and Conquer is also a good to play as Dwarf in LoTR but my favorite goes for Vermintide 2 and Battle for MiIdleEart 2 AGe of the Ring mod . playing Warcraft 3 as Humans and using only dwarf units and hero is also good or playing WoW as Dwarven Hunter or WArior and having Engineering or blacksmithing along with minnig also feels good
Yeah, i may have to make a separate video about Dwarf Fortess now... A grudge is a serious thing indeed...
woah a real life dwarf
Thank you? 😁
Actually, it respects Tolkien's canon and has a very captivating gameplay. A good game - not focused on combat - but a good dwarf game.
I have really enjoyed Return to Moria. I can’t believe it hasn’t gotten more attention
@@stonem83 yes, me too!
Maybe some games are just not for everyone...
@@notawitchr I believe its mostly because of no dedicated servers/ability to set up servers.
I have a group of Valheim people who would play Return to Moria but there is no way to set up a server. Unless you know about one and would like to share.
No Dwarf Fortress? Heresy! Straight to jail.
Guilty as charged... Hoping for an early release for good behaviour?...
We'll have to talk to the Captain of the Guard. Admire the masterwork chains in your cell while you wait.
@@MichaelRainey 😂😂😂
The Hammerer must be informed of this transgression. Armok himself is the only worthy judge here.
XD
Return to Moria surprised me with how great it was. I was excited about it eventually coming to Steam but from what I'd seen of it's Epic Release I wasn't really expecting too much from it. It blew me away! I really loved it, spent nearly 50 hours finishing the campaign with a group.
It really is! I still haven't finished it and i already think of starting in sandbox mode!
Very nice video, and honourable mention to add would be Dwarf Fortress. Were losing is !Fun! and dwarves literally run on beer. Messes them up a lot to run out of the stuff.
Thank you, i considered adding Dwarf Fortress to the list, but from what i know about it, it is more like a god simulator than a dwarf simulator - i wasn't sure that you'd feel like one when playing it ))
@@notawitchr ah ok, i was wondering why that game wasnt on the list and that makes sense in a way. i was gunna suggest a few others myself, but they fit more into the god game category as well. Undholm, The Diggles, RimWorld (with mods) and KeeperRL (with mods)
@marltonmanks9891 thanks, i will check them out for myself)
For me, the most Dwarven game ever is always DRG, it shows just how adaptable these guys can be, from digging and mining for ores and valuables in relatively safe mines, to fighting off hordes of bugs, plus Rock and Stone will always stay as Dwarven as it can be
A game that makes me feel like a real dwarf is MINECRAFT
windrose made a awesome version of the original diggi diggi hole song from yogscast
True, i didn't know that when i made the video)))
Bless Warhammer 3 dwarves. I have like 300 hours playing dwarves alone.
Oh, lotro, I have been taken back to a far better time, with far better friends....I wonder if my characters are still sitting around on Brandywine. Time to try to log back in
Same here. Feeling nostalgic about the game and time both.
If you felt like this after watching this video - then it have served it's purpose. Thank you for this sentiment)
@@dzejrid Wow, you had an impressive experience. And fond memories are the best part of our past games...
@@notawitchr uhmm... why is my original post gone? Can't see it anymore
There's an as-yet unreleased Dwarfen survival game called "Return to Nangrim" in the works. Granted, it's been stuck in development hell for a while now, but the short demo shows a lot of promise!
@@BaronVonMott yes! I'm waiting for it with high hopes. Looks amazing.
I didn't expect to see my dwarf character in this video during the lotro section. I guess you are a kinmate 😊
Hi, do you mean your character is in The Blue Mountains Regiment? I wasn't a member, but i participated in some RP-events. Always played only on Larelin)
@notawitchr yeah, I'm a member of the blue mountain regiment. I remember the roleplay journey seen in the video.
Hm, true - it's kinda always post-apocalyptic for dwarves (everybody else could be OK) 😀
All true dwarves put you in the book of grudges for calling diggy diggy hole from wind rose and not yogscast
Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd al-gorithmu!
)))))))
Did you really quote Windrose in the beginning when they just did a cover of the original song?
Just watched this video and loved it! especially the dwarfish musical bits. Have always loved dwarves, read most every book about dwarves, and own and played most games about dwarves set in various genera and settings. (and lead a dwarven clan in LOTRO) And while I agree with your picks, there should be a 10th.... Deep Rock Galactic. It is quite dwarvish, and there is beer. ROCK AND STONE BROTHER!!!
Thank you, honored drengbarazi! I did mention the game in the intro, but it's not in a fantasy setting, so i decided to not include it.
@@notawitchr Oh my apologies, I must have missed it. Glad to see you know yer dwarves, even tha ones in space!
Warlords Battlecry III might be a bit old and perhaps obscure (although it was covered by Ssethzeentach not long ago) Has not only 1, but TWO dwarven factions to play as.
Wind Rose? Yogscast
Yeah, my mistake - i only learned about them from the comments. But Wind Rose have a lot of other good dwarven songs...
Yeah wild miscredit :p
I'm thinking to make a new video about non-fantasy games about dwarves. DRG will be #1.
I know it's been said but omg the diggy doggy hole being credited to wind rose really pissed me off lol
forgot Craft the World. Beautiful craft dwarf game
No Dwarf Fortress? Thats going in the book...
That is fair... my apology is in the pinned comment.
you are crediting Diggy Diggy hole to the wrong people, while wind rose did have a stellar cover of the song, it was originally created by the UA-camr group the Yogscast! :3
Thank you! I didn't know that))) I should credit them also.
Lovely video man! ,
Thank you kindly! More like this will follow.
battle mages sign of darkness allows you to bring your starting unit through whole campain if you are skilled enough and you can upgrade them to higher tier in town or camp of their faction and yes it does have dwarfs
Drakensang may not primarily about dwarves but the last main quest takes place in a dwarven realm.
The one game I miss here is Age of Wonders 4.
Dwarves are one of the standard races.
Otherwise I fully agree with this list
Actually, Age of Wonders 3 and 4 let you mix any race with any culture, so the dwarves there lack authenticity in my opinion. But those games are great!
Hmmm, ive been on my dwarven phase lately, and this pop out on my recommend wahaha.
Particually been obsess on old world warhammer depiction of dwarves, hours of vermintide just to play bardin, its the closest thing ik on feeling like a dwarf.
You have good taste)
... a mention for "Warhammer Online: Return of Reckoning" and "the lord of the rings: war in the north"
Lord of the rings is the og and timeless. Warhammer is the best
The best quote!
you missed warhammer online return of reckoning lots of dwarfen lor there and funny quests
Thank you. I actually have never tried it and didn't even know if it's still going.
I don't know of any dwarf-central westerns, but there is a western novella series where they at least get some well-paid homage: Orc Ranger.
I would love to find fellow dwarves to reclaim Moria with as I downloaded it ages ago and haven’t found anyone to play with.
You got it right. I did mention Deep Rock Galactic at the beginning, but those are the space dwarves )))
