@@RearAdmiralTootToot That's quite an inaccurate argument. For starters you misunderstand profit margins. Profit margins don't go to anyone who receives a salary from the company. Part of profit margins are spend pro-actively on the company. Buying new equipment or hiring new workers, maybe used for product research or stuff like that, and part of It is returned to investors proportionally to their share.
Profit margins are the "scoop on top" of the production costs. Production costs include everything from the CEO's salary to taxes, from building and equipment maintenance to worker salaries, and from raw materials to distribution costs.
It would be true that if CEOs weren't paid so much, the production cost would decrease, but the CEO's salary is not 99% of the production cost, or even close to it.
Finally, profit margins on gasoline are roughly 12%. So basically for every 100 dollars in production costs, the investors who paid those costs get at most a 12% return.
Economics isn't as simple as saying "Rich people bad". Whilst there are many rich people who earn their money in unscrupulous ways, there are also many who don't.
To punish the former whilst encouraging and enabling the latter is one of the important tasks of government.

My favorite story about retail is a few customers questioned a manager about some items and he told them what they were looking for was at the front of the store. They looked at the manager confused but the manager assured them the items they were looking for were again near the front of the store. Upon arriving at the front of the store they were told the store was closing and if they weren't going to buy anything they needed to leave.

25:40 I can't fault Rowan for that one. It sucks when a customer comes in last minute and skulks around while you're trying to close. Good to get a little payback on them.
It would be great if you could come up with a follow up episode to Hamish still looking for his computer.
You could do a sketch about one of my biggest annoyances where the store does a deal and has a massive display with loads of boxes etc, then when you go to purchase one they go out the back to only return to say that they're out of stock yet they still advertise and have the display for the next week/month even though they still haven't any stock.
LOL I remember these. My favorite is the one with the "option" to tip at checkout.
