I love how they absolutely only team killed each other, got killed by unseen enemies and just wandered around clueless in the game, no enemy kills whatsoever. Literally accurate new player experience right there.
I just hopped into Tarkov(I have 4 four raids under my belt, one of which is after the wipe today or yesterday) and am I glad I've played DayZ so I'm somewhat familiar with the feeling of losing everything in the matter of seconds and with only one mistake.
But I have to say that my best game yet(the one after the wipe, when everyone is on even level in gear), in the map Streets of Tarkov, I fucked up by walking through underpass looking for exfil, and walked right into the streets above. And if you play Tarkov, you probably know what happened

@TheFinnishBaconShroom I'm going to take a guess and say you didn't send a flare and got sniped. If you have 2 monitors there are sights that have maps to atleast show you extraction areas, it's also best to learn streets right now because it will only get bigger.

And yeah, after that, I went back to the map in practice mode to wander around.
Mostly because I don't want to do the same thing that I did with DayZ with the IZurvive app, which shows you the map and all points of interest and general loot pools

I know, especially cause it's actually true in that case. If you are in your 20s/30s and don't have some health reason you couldn't, you really should be able to march a few kilometres if you need to. I mean I have RA and I can do that.

Game is one of the most annoying things Ive ever played, bots are so ridiculous in places like labs and other areas that even if your stacked to all hell it takes an absurd amount of bullets to kill them while they can jack you up with 3 aimbot headshots.

Bitch I'm as sedentary as they come IRL and I can easily scale a 3m perfectly vertical rock containment wall with unstable rocks you can't pull yourself up from, as long as there is a tree or something to wedge myself against. I know because I'VE DONE IT. And somehow a trained elite soldier can't figure out how to raise his leg over a crate?

That was my first ever raid: got on to customs, I knew I had to extract but could not find an ingame map so I just wandered in the woods around dorms aimlessly until I had a fall and broken a leg... I panicked and tried to run, ate some cheese because I understood that it ges HP but I did not know about broken limbs... So I ran around and started to bleed and died with a blacked out vision, totally lost, near a road.

I still remember being in a firefight with someone, dropping to prone after being hit, reloading on the ground and finishing them when they thought I was dead. I limped across the map thinking I'd bleed out, or get shot. Any bush I saw was safety, anything else was death. I got to extraction, and bailed. I stopped playing because I didn't want to lose any of my sweet sweet loot. lol
I have that habit as well. Anytime I start a family in a game I stop playing. Skyrim, for example, my guy is never going to fight alduin. I think his name is alduin. I never got past the 4th storyline quest. He has two daughters and Lydia as a wife and would never abandon them. SMH
