椎の実形兜の組み上げ 甲冑制作 Assembling a Shiinominarikabuto of the samurai armor 甲冑武

今回の動画は、甲冑師の熱田伸道先生にご指導いただいて制作している、椎の実形兜の組み上げ工程ショート動画となります。

叩いて曲面にした6枚の鉄板を、隙間なく組み上がるようさらに叩き微調整を行います。
その後、叩いて歪みの出た端部をヤスリがけをしてきれいな曲線に整えます。
仕上がったらそれぞれを小ねじで接合します。
今回の組み上げは仮組みで、さらに叩いて調整を行いその後に鉄鋲を打ち本組みとなります。
This video shows the process of assembling a shiinomi-shaped helmet, which is being made under the guidance of Mr. Nobumichi Atsuta, an armor master.
The six steel plates, which have been beaten to a curved surface, are further beaten and fine-tuned so that they are assembled without gaps.
Afterwards, the edges that have been distorted by beating are filed to make them beautifully curved.
Once finished, the pieces are joined together with small screws.
The assembly this time is a temporary assembly, and after further tapping and adjustment, steel tacks will be inserted for the final assembly.
