DOOOOOOOD, look at him now. He's grown up so much and is doing an awesome job with his new jizz jazz. i can't stop getting aenough of this man. whatever he releases, im gonna be 100% amazed. god bless. jesus made his own cross by the way bible thumpers.
Michelangelo D'Imperio I love hearing this actually haha. really like the guy obv. I've done it with other artists in the past too, people always seem to notice lmao
berry I understand, I discovered Mac a year ago and half ago and I've been listening to his music everyday ever since. Pretty much have seen every YT video of him there is to see ahah I just don't comment as much
Michelangelo D'Imperio I feel ya man . I don't or didn't usually comment on stuff but ive always found Mac' (and the artists similar or related to him) community to be really .. comforting, yknow?
Mac drank a beer out of my shoe last night at the Perth show on my 21st birthday 🍻🙏🏼 bless up, big love from down in our little corner of the earth, keep on rockin in the free world Mac
hes a natural. great set. this is what i love about his music. just an acoustic guitar, good songwriting and singing, good riffs. you cant mess with the basics
This is a fantastic performance. There is so much going on in the background and he still manages to perform the songs perfectly AND stay chipper. The songs stand up on an acoustic too which is the sign of a good songwriter. Good stuff Mac.
It's hard for me to grasp what Macs done so quickly with his music. I caught him totally randomly up in Calgary where there were more people in bands there then attendees. I had no idea what was going on, yet I was catching the vibe of some of the small shows I had played in SW Florida early 2000's. However, up north it seemed like they were combining the hardcore moves, while taking the piss out of it, they had no idea what I was talking about. Each of those bands put in work, 110% to a few people, sharing the stage. There was something about Mac compared to everyone else though. He just had a focused thing going on that I haven't seen a lot. I noticed this before he played. When he got up, did his thing, killed it, I bought his Rock N Roll Nightclub record. For myself, not so much that I dug the music, I wanted to support the smaller acts at the 2012 MTT Festival. EXTREMELY quickly, he's bigger then some of the headliners ever were or are. My full respect, hard working guy.
Met Mac last year when I snuck into the band entrance at The Anthem in DC, he signed my poster from the show and offered me a cig and talked music with me for a few minutes. One of the highlights of my life :)
It's always nice seeing Mac live in concert at some fancy venue, but I wish I could have gone back to the days of his basement shows or be at a chill environment like this one in the woods.
I used to have that with big crowds, but after a while and keeping going to them, it wasn't such a big deal anymore. P.S. I saw Mac in a like 150 person hall and it was fucking lit haha
Blue Boy has never been my favourite Mac track, but this rendition is so good. the chord progression really shows through on the acoustic and it's really nice. plus his falsetto is beautiful xx
I used to have a piece of string as a guitar strap. wasnt as uncomfortable as you might think. Just got a proper strap but now I feel like a try hard given Mac just uses a string :)
Blue boy, worried about the world's eyes Worried every time the sun shines Worried about his haircut Calm down, sweetheart, grow up Blue boy Blue boy Blue boy Blue boy Blue boy, older than the world knows Honey, that's the way that life goes No use acting so tough Come down, sweetheart, grow up Blue boy Blue boy Blue boy Blue boy
Mac got me into one of his shows once cause the tickets were sold out. He's a literal angel.
That's a crazy story.
Morbid Loathing yea

He seems like he would that
Wowowowowowowowowowowowow

Answer to all of life's questions.
oh my god the acoustic version of blue boy is pure gold
bdd Right!?
I like it
I hardly paid attention to the song when I’d be playing the Salad Days album but the acoustic is absolutely beautiful.
He seems so careless but he's so fucking talented
He takes his music seriously but not himself
EllisDee To be honest. To play music you kinda have to be pretty chill and laid back. I have never really met a musician that wasn't pretty chill.
+Rush1017 spot on
Hezigrimm mmm Thom Yorke?
@@Hezigrimm *Billy Corgan has entered the chat*

Jacob Rowlands I READ THATS SHIT ON QUE😂😂😂😂
I do like the dichotomy of a string strap on a 1200 dollar guitar
He really is frying so hard. The music is just flowing straight through him.
you remind me of my father very much. he died years ago and I still didn't know your music. my father would have loved your music, thanks Mac Demarco
Mac DeMarco on KEXP?
YAAAAAAAAAAS.
Met Mac last year when I snuck into the band entrance at The Anthem in DC, he signed my poster from the show and offered me a cig and talked music with me for a few minutes. One of the highlights of my life :)
this audio quality is literally tasty.
It's always nice seeing Mac live in concert at some fancy venue, but I wish I could have gone back to the days of his basement shows or be at a chill environment like this one in the woods.
I want to go to a small concert like this one cause I have anxiety n I really hate big crowds so this would be perfect
I used to have that with big crowds, but after a while and keeping going to them, it wasn't such a big deal anymore.
P.S. I saw Mac in a like 150 person hall and it was fucking lit haha
jace and jade. the ultimate duo
come on over Jade, you're invited
Hes now doing solo shows similar to this, the crowds are smaller than usual. Check his tour dates he might be coming to your town soon
this was the first ever video of mac i watched as i was told to check him out and ive never looked back, love u maccy

Young Mac is just as good as current Mac.
i couldnt imagine how much that string strap would hurt after a while
I used to have a piece of string as a guitar strap. wasnt as uncomfortable as you might think. Just got a proper strap but now I feel like a try hard given Mac just uses a string :)
Pretty sure being alive hurts for Mac Demarco so in the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't register.
Mac DeMarco and Ty Segall are two of the best musicians of the century.
U need to expand your knowledge of music
***** they're up there, but they're aren't the best
Elnejo86 I mean two of the best of indie genre. In general music King Crimson and Stone Temple Pilots are two of the best artists.
***** king chrimson the band from 1968 and stone temple pilots the band from 1986,right?
i think they are a tad past ten years old.
george tayler i also think a century is a tad past ten years old haha

Better late than never. Welcome to the party!
love mac such a good songwriter and guitarist. wish they didnt use condenser mics though, you can hear some other band throughout
haha, now cause you said it I hear it too ;D
Such a talented musician
WTF, HOW IS ONLY LIKE 12 PEOPLE AT A mac demarco performance
I'm guessing it was a spontaneous smaller set at a festival he and the band were playing at.
I love how Michael Collins is just casually sitting in the audience

The String Strap - patented mac demarco invention
RizeKrispy r/woooosh
got a string strap on every acoustic in my house
Damn, kind of seems like it'd hurt after a while.
I'd like to claim I invented to Jordan's shoe string guitar strap lol
Idk man, shoe string straps have been a thing for a while. I know I’ve used one before, on a heavy ass strat at that
This guy, always so good.
mac has a beautiful voice
lucky me. he played my favorite songs off of salad days. mac is so fucking talented
excellent, so good, love it, amazing
Parquet Courts playing in the background after the second last song makes this so much better
