When I first listened to Salad Days, I was on my computer playing a game while the whole album played in the background and when Chamber of Reflection came I was like "Whoa that sounds so blissful and cool..." And then I learned the song on bass the next day.
these guys have the best fuckin time in the world every time they play, and it makes seeing them so much more fun. they set up AND break down their own stage, and don't take themselves too seriously up there. always feels like a small, DIY set and I love em for it
KEXP is such a cool radio project. It is great that they consistently invite great bands to play live and have pertinent interviews. The interviews are always to the point, with great mood and all.
Ah, this was immensely wonderful. They all appear to be a bunch of guys you'd meet strolling down the beach on a sunny afternoon, and all very much talented. I'd love to jam with them any day~
Roy Wade I know right, the guitar solo in let her go at 5:15 is so fucking good. I heard Mac live in London a couple months ago and when that part played I lost my shit.
There are increasing levels of hipster, it goes: not hipster, slightly hipster (making you fairly non-hipster because slight hipster is the norm nowadays), real hipster (bit of a bellend) and finally so hipster that you're your own kind of hipster, making you not actually a hipster but such an individual that you can't be categorised, Mac Demarco is the final one.
Also I was thinking, oh well, ween sort of stopped, at least we have Mac, he holds much promise! He stuff seems to have started off in the right direction. The way they seem to have fun reminds me of what ween used to do, a sort of Greatful Dead kind of thing, playing live all the time with a entourage following them everywhere they went.
"On the drums we have drummer"
Poor Joey hahaha
A great drummer!
lmao
I loved the solo so much
Xd
Gabriel Wayne its the intro to how soon is know by the smiths
Gabriel Wayne its the intro to how soon is know by the smiths
Nicolas Jones I know bro
Anybody knows what is the mac's watch model?
As a drummer I'll say, it's rare to see a band where the most normal looking dude is the drummer.
you really want to feel special he?! ;-)
Check out Connan Mockasin's drummer
The last time I saw the lead guitarist, Andy, he cut his hair and shaved. He looks better.
Sam Bailey the drummer from king gizzard and the lizard wizard should belong here more
Which one? Erick or Mike?
That bass player is the most Canadian looking guy I've ever seen lol
Loooooooool hahahahahahahaha
ahahahahahah
ahahahahahahah
stupid guy
HAHAHA
i wish i was half as happy as mac
+dutchbagel High*
i completely understand where you're coming from
he doesnt get high boy
he doesnt even smoke weed

Alexa Tarriba Marc's reaction
"my god andy"

Su música refleja todo lo que quiero ser 😳
he just played "how soon is now" by the smiths i guess hahah, and then improvised
@@cheqk019 ruined the set
When I first listened to Salad Days, I was on my computer playing a game while the whole album played in the background and when Chamber of Reflection came I was like "Whoa that sounds so blissful and cool..." And then I learned the song on bass the next day.

Dez Harris It's called modesty. Andy just doesn't want to admit that he is God.
Robby Koz I would never invite you to a dinner party.
BellCurve
Your loss, I make an excellent Gnocchi.
Robby Koz Damn, I love Gnocchi.
Dez Harris Except Mac Demarco is a Christian :p
Mac's band is the most stereotypical bunch of Canadians I've ever seen
Good people.
😂
Andy's solo almost sounds like How Soon Is Now
Kia Doll it is
***** Played incredibly wrong, but yeah it's the same chords
Robbie Broome nah man, thats the right way of playing it. well except the end but look at the way Johnny plays it live man
It's the wrong strumming pattern I'm 90% sure?
Robbie Broome It's the tremolo on the guitar that is a bit quicker. But if he turned down the speed then it would be spot on
these guys have the best fuckin time in the world every time they play, and it makes seeing them so much more fun. they set up AND break down their own stage, and don't take themselves too seriously up there. always feels like a small, DIY set and I love em for it
Andy's solo on let her go was orgasmic
KEXP is such a cool radio project. It is great that they consistently invite great bands to play live and have pertinent interviews. The interviews are always to the point, with great mood and all.

drummers are underrated
soup kitchen trance rock is the technical genre
"good morning Vietnam" got me soo good.
Ah, this was immensely wonderful. They all appear to be a bunch of guys you'd meet strolling down the beach on a sunny afternoon, and all very much talented. I'd love to jam with them any day~
This video introduced me to our boy Mac. God bless.
i love his energy when he performs
Andy looks like Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused.

The solo by andy at 18:05 sounds like the smiths how soon is now i think
Sounds very similar
cause it is haha,
Still together a "love song". How Soon Is Now, essentially a song about being lonely and unloved.
dude... it's the macarena lol
Omg yes
FINALLY, also andy is a hero and a pretty good shredder on that 12 string
hes the cutest homeless looking person ive ever seen
Still Together sounds beautiful with the entire band.
This is perfect, Cheryl seems so comfortable interviewing them, plus they are having so much fun, cheers
Love how in 'Still Together' he just breaks out into 'How Soon Is Now' by the Smiths.
I thought i was the only one that noticed lol
I like Marc Demarcos vibe

that dude rips guitar so hard !
Roy Wade I know right, the guitar solo in let her go at 5:15 is so fucking good. I heard Mac live in London a couple months ago and when that part played I lost my shit.
Stop showering, buy a bass at a pawnshop and audition for Mac's band: foot in the door.
My dad showed me mac three years ago, and i fell in love with the persona they all have. this is good sweet tunez. much love
the vocalizations on chamber of reflection really made my day
Fuck, I'd pay a lot of money for that Jurassic Park cap

I wish I could have this much fun all the time. Cool dudes, Mac rules.
This is golden
bands gotten so tight
i watch this every night
He's such a trip...lol love him. A lot.
the way he just jumps straight into the first song omg wow OKEY DOKEY SONG IS CALLED UH SALAD DAYS
Did that drummer have a shirt over his snare? That's how they make it sound so good!
i did this by accident during a gig once, and i've never played without it since.
Rob Clifford how exactly do you leave a shirt on your snare by accident?
Its a classic technique used a lot in the 70s to get the dry, snappy drum sound.
Looks more like he had a snare over his shirt...
In the later era of The Beatles studio sessions you always see a washcloth on Ringo's snare
this is easily the best thing ive ever seen i lovemy life
"there is no god"
Patchouli Prince check again
Causeloser he’s right. good isn’t real. if there is a god, it’s a black lesbian. cheers !
Thanks
The solo at 18:03 is freaking legendary.

The song together in Spotify es so slow in comparison with this performance, please put this version to in Spotify
Mac DeMarco's bassist always has a really good sound
There are increasing levels of hipster, it goes: not hipster, slightly hipster (making you fairly non-hipster because slight hipster is the norm nowadays), real hipster (bit of a bellend) and finally so hipster that you're your own kind of hipster, making you not actually a hipster but such an individual that you can't be categorised, Mac Demarco is the final one.
That Guy I don't think mac really thinks about that stuff hahaha
And that's what makes him the hippest of all
I agree, of course he doesn't
That was the best version of Still Togeeeeeether ever, that Smiths riff and the solo were gnarly.
Primavera sound 2017 is better
I love how they used The Smiths guitar riff in Still Together. Fucking genius.
mac is my love
LOL Andy's solo at the end gets me every time
Also I was thinking, oh well, ween sort of stopped, at least we have Mac, he holds much promise! He stuff seems to have started off in the right direction. The way they seem to have fun reminds me of what ween used to do, a sort of Greatful Dead kind of thing, playing live all the time with a entourage following them everywhere they went.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yessss! Demarco lol I met Andy two weeks ago in ventura ca. Great show here and there.
"good morning vietnam"
This is just pure gold.

My lord. Can't wait to see him at Psych Fest!!!!!!!
Andy's solo in "Still Together" sounded like "How Soon Is Now" in the beginning! Tight.
