Mac Demarco is one of the realest dudes ever. This showed what you can do with fame, you can either screw it up or just treat everyone well and live your own happy life. He is an example of a good guy who isn’t out for anyone, he just wants to figure out life in a good, simple and easy way. What a man. What a dude.
My father has never been around and now I'm a single dad of two girls, 13 and 10. I can really appreciate the Old Man tune, thanks for the song Mac, and in my opinion this version of the first two songs are better than the full band versions just so intimate and beautiful, you really get to appreciate the song. ☮️

His Neil Young cover is amazing. She was an unknown legend in her time, now she is dressing two kids, looking for that magic kiss, she gets the far away look in her eyes. Mac just cuts through the sentimental lyrics. It is very emotional song for me at least.
