Be sure to check out our safety video. The Bond Arms derringer in fact does not rest the hammer on the firing pins ever - this is one of our patented features that no other derringers have. This means that there is no way for the gun to accidentally fire unless cocked and the trigger is pulled.
Awesome video. I too appreciate a company official taking the time to show their product. As far as the young lady's ability to operate the firearm properly (cocking) it just takes practice, practice, practice. With a lot of practice my daughter learned to shoot and reload a wheel gun in a matter of seconds. When my Bond Arms 45/410 arrives she'll learn how to handle that too! Good job by the little lady!
I just ordered a Texas defender .410/45 and I cant wait til it arrives. I also ordered a cross breed holster that is made specifically for Bond Arms trigger guard handguns. The young lady is quite attractive as well
Now more choices in a revolver...great~ Mind was set on a S&W 686 or Colt Python in the future, but something like this might be a better choice for me. That Bond girl may be cute and shy but she's no one to be messed with, that's for sure!
@@BondArmsInc very well made piece of hardware. Not a horrible kick for a 45. Still on point for the seven yards, which is further than I'd expected for such a small barrel. Already planning on snagging one of the 410 barrels as well
We are still out here, but the range has been added onto and reinforced. When I just walked out to inspect it, I saw layers and layers of particle board. That said, we pretty much just use that range for the low-caliber stuff like rimfire and 38Spl. Higher caliber test-firing occurs in another range that has a series of metal deflection plates that deflect the bullet to a trap down low.
Great video, but c'mon. A first time shooter should have had a brand new 10¢ target as a great memory. BTW I love my 38/357, but my 357 loads seems to be a bit stout. And I love a 44 Magnum in a revolver.
In our hand cannon series, which she was shooting, we drill out all of the .38 barrels deep enough to chamber the longer 357 Magnum cartridge. So, on occasion, you may hear us use the term "38 barrel" or "357 barrel" because they are the same thing.
I personally would never consider this firearm to be my primary firearm. A decent backup firearm perhaps. I'd rather go with a small format 5 or 6 shot .38 or 9mm revolver than a two shot derringer for a better backup firearm. Perhaps a Ruger LCR or LCRx. As for the girl. She did ok shooting for her first time. Yes, she had to be told to cock the gun but again, it was her first time with a firearm. Cut her some slack. She's not the super duper all time shooter like the rest of you. Yet. Judging by her first time she has potential to be pretty good.
Nice. But new to a Derringer shooter? You said 22 mag is LOUD. 22 long is your most popular seller then the 38/357 combo. Why did you not start with the quieter 22lr Then 22 mag for comparison? Then derringers can be tricky to load unload. First shot should have been just one bullet. But after she shot gun let her rechamber and unload the empty shells herself as it would be safer with such a small gun.
Good job for a first time shoot ,but she needs to be told not to be moving that gun around so much when you hand it to her! When cocking the gun always make sure its not moving around, and only pointing down range.
One more thing...wouldn't it be a hoot if it was a supermarket parking lot right outside the back wall of this firing lane, and there was structural weakness that let some of the ammo go thru the whole wall and every week cops couldn't figure out why so many people were 'assassinated" in one parking lot and no money taken. The news would start like this after 5 or 6 eighty year old ladies would get popped while unloading their groceries into the trunk of their car......."In a series of gangland slaying linked to the blah blah blah cartel, several old women were "assassinated" (never murdered) on their way from the market. A mysterious group of black gunmen(they always have to make them black to instill more fear) were seen running from the scene and Capt. Mel Rogers of the Santa Barbara police dept says.............."We suspect this is the beginning of retaliations for a drug deal gone bad and both the FBI and DEA are going to be on full alert trying to prevent a full scale gang war from breaking out all over the city." WOULD THAT BE A RIOT. LOL !!!!
P.S. I KNOW FRO A FACT IN EVERY GUN BOX IS THE WARNINGS ABOUT LOADING THAT GUN AND YOU NEVER LOAD IT UNLESS THE HAMMER LOCK IS IN PLACE, AND YOU JUST GAVE HER A HAT GUN WITH THE HAMMER RESTING ON THE FIRING PIN THAT IS IN RETURN RESTING ON THE BULLET, THAT COULD TURN OUT REAL BAD AND THIS GUY WORKS FOR THIS GUN COMPANY
The trigger guards are removable with one screw, and so some folks remove them. If you bought it second-hand, I suppose that the seller didn't include the trigger guard because they had removed it. If this bothers you, call us at 817-573-4445 and we will see what it takes to get you one.
Its nice to see heads of companies participating in the real world stuff and making videos that aren't just commercials.
This is 1,000 times more effective commercial...and 1,000 times cheaper

I like Gordon Bond he has a nice presentation style.

Just bought the Bond Roughneck. Well made, my new personal carry... Awesome little gun!
Quite impressive, especially since this was her first time with this gun which is quite small. I so want one or two of these.👍
I have the Texas Defender in 38/357 and I could shoot it all day. It makes agitated 2 liters dance. Fun range gun.
I just got the 4.25 inch barrel in 410. I'm glad to see it groups well at that distance.
They are great!
@@BondArmsInc Wish you guys sold merch. I was looking for a T-shirt or hat but can't find them anywhere!

I have one of these.

So excited to get my 45acp roughneck. Hopefully ships next week.
Have you gotten it yet? What are your thoughts?

Are you still making a barrel for the 22LR or 22 mag? I can’t find them on your website but the online brochure still lists them…
We will make an official announcement regarding 22LR later this week!
How do you sight with that double decker barrel?
What barrel lengths were those?
If your still out there, can you tell me what the backstop is made of?

@@BondArmsInc Thank you for the quick and descriptive reply
she did good.!
My grizzle bear locks and opens fine when empty but the release lever locks hard making it difficult to open once it is loaded.
By chance, are you using Hornady ammo?
I can't wait to try a 357mag barrel!
And can I purchase a bond gun here in Anderson SC 29622 and what store can I get one .
I shoot hot loads of 45 colt 255 grain out of 5 inch ruger 1300 fps in my bond arms derringer
Good for her!
She did great!
Where can I get some bond arms earing protection? :D
She did good
Indeed she did!
First time shooting any gun? Or first time shooting the Derringer?

that was awesome
How come you didnt bust out the 10mm?
I wouldn't consider 10mm a good round to give someone the first time they shot a gun. Especially in a such a short barrel.
Do you sale tee shirts and ball caps and coffee mugs

There is allot of talking and very little shooting in all bond channel videos,, need to get that fixed.

I think generally a new shooter should have one bullet in the gun. After the first shot anything goes. Good job.
