I bought a Bullpup this morning. I am amazed at the slide to frame fitment. There is ZERO slop in the gun. I gotta get some G10 or rubber grips as I am not a traditionalist, but the quality is insane.

I’m buying a Bond this year. Right now I’ve a Cobra Derringer and it goes bang and sometimes bang-bang but not every time.

    • @byerenny

Look into Bond's new Rowdy or Rough Rider line. The only difference is the finish isn't polished and it saves you a couple hundred. (I actually prefer the non-polished/matte look) The same quality is all still there. The extra caliber barrels from their more polished lines fit too just the same if you'd like more choices. Just picked up a Rowdy in .410/.45 colt.
I also have a Cobra derringer in .38. The difference is night and day, Cobra feels like a cheap toy in comparison to the Bond. Mine was a little over 300 (314 to be exact) out the door with a box of .45 colt shotshells.
The Bond also has a few more safety measures as demonstrated in this video you'll appreciate. Just realize there's quite a bit more heft in these compared to the Cobra, but that'll help soak up recoil. The only regret I have is using the 150 bucks buying a Cobra instead of applying that money to this Rowdy instead, or using it to buy another barrel.

Like Silvers said, get the rowdy. For the same price as some of the others you can get the rowdy and a spare barrel. The 45lc is much more mild in it than I initially thought it would be. Feels like shooting 38spl in a j frame.

I bought a nice brand new flat black Cobra 32 derringer with wood grips but before I can bring it to the range, it broke while dry firing with snap caps at home and is now a nice wall decoration. I am also saving for a Bond but we have very limited selection here in California. Gun stores only offer the 9mm snub nose or the 45 Colt which will not shoot the 410. Yes sir, we have ridiculous gun laws here.

I just bought a Rowdy in 45/410 have not shot it yet , went to one of my local gun shops and found out that the Ruger LCR holster works great and is a nice small holster and you can change the clip for left or right hand carry.

Get a .45 Colt (only) barrel, and handload two .457 lead balls over 1.6cc's of Pyrodex. Entry wounds overlap, creating a massive wound channel. You wont get a wound that wide with any hollow-point. That's a 288 grain load, if you were wondering.

have several. if buying used (generally a good value as bond arms are built like brick outhouses but shot relatively little) get the upgraded, current version with indented trigger and wide hammer spur. ditch the pretty wooden and get rubber grips: large for “4” calibers, small for the others. as for shooting, 45acp and 357mag aren’t fun; 410, 45lc and 45 schofield (especially) aren’t bad at all; 38sp, 380acp and 9mm are fun and easy.

Bond Arms will not sell you the barrels, holsters, grips directly to you; though these are not FFL parts as they are not the firearm. They force you to buy any parts thru a dealer; and this stinks !!!!! They lie and tell you that you can, and since the frame is the serial numbered/firearm; there is nothing you can call this but Bullshit !!!! Great guns, piss poor customer service.

I paid less for my custom ar than the cost of these production line derringers. I just bought 2, 911's for the cost of this derringer. and that shouldn't be. put out a roughneck with a 4.25" barrel in .45 acp for $350, and i'll be the first one in line. your feedback was much appreciated...….thanks.

They are solid guns, but their massive size and weight defeat the whole purpose of a 2-shot derringer. They supposedly have a 9mm ultra-light that has been in development for the last two or so years but as far as I can tell, that project has never gotten out of "Park". One minus of that ultra-light is it has a trigger guard that does not look to be removeable, adding unnecessarily to its bulk and again, tending to defeat the idea of a derringer.
I wish they would make a "Cobra"-sized 9mm derringer but with Bond Arms reliability and accuracy. Oh, and if Cobra can put a manual ejector for 9mm and other rimless cases on their guns, why can Bond not do the same????
